We needed a place to rest after a long day visiting schools in Santa Barbara. We did not have a reservation but the front desk personnel were very gracious accommodating us. The hotel has a beautiful pond with fish and ducks that encourages relaxation. The sparkling pool was inviting and we did not miss the opportunity to enjoy it. The room was very clean and the breakfast was and fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend this lovely place.

Very satisfied with the entire experience. Kind and receptive attendance in the lobby during check-in and check-out. Well satisfied with room, bathroom and common area cleanness that, for me, is the most important aspect for a hotel. Well served breakfast. I recommend this hotel. I would stay in again, if needed.Concerning the location, it's necessary to have a car to go to Santa Barbara; you'll stay at least 4 miles distant and there's a freeway in the way.

I've been staying at this Ramada every week for the past couple of months. I am a business traveler to Santa Barbara. The hotel is conveniently located off 101 & is barely 5 minutes drive from the Airport. The hotel offers a complimentary pick up & drop at the airport. The staff here are super friendly. Rodolfo & Kim are my personal favorites, but overall every staff in here is very friendly & greets you with a smile. The rooms are clean & comfortable. I love the rooms on the far end of the hote... Took our team of 40 athletes and stayed here this past wknd. Fabulous location, staff and ameneties. Very helpful and the rooms are spacious with lots of modern touches to them. Near freeway, beach and shopping, overall great location. Plus feeding the ducks by the lagoon on their site was really fun too. We will definitely be back.

We have stayed at the Ramada in Santa Barbara several times over the years and it has consistently been the best all-around hotel for family and friends in Santa Barbara. The rooms are always clean and pretty, second story rooms have vaulted wood ceilings with balconies, first floor rooms have patios. All rooms are large and very comfortable. The grounds are beautiful with ponds, pool, Jacuzzi, waterfalls, and plenty of big trees and beautiful flowers. And the rates are extremely reasonable,... Read more

Spent this past Tuesday night at this hotel and I was pleasantly surprised. The grounds are immaculate and all the ducks running around are a cute touch. The room itself was big but the bathroom, ironically, was small. Very Clean and I found it very quiet. Breakfast was included and was above average. Staff was friendly and helpful. Older property but nicely kept up. I would stay here again when in the area.

Nice setting in courtyard with ponds, etc. The facility is showing its age and needs a refreshing. Our room smelled of urine. Prices have gone up dramatically in the last couple years -- more than the facility warrants. "Free" breakfast was fairly limited.

The hotel is a nice small home away from home. They have a nice continental breakfast, with various choices. It was convenient since I was traveling with a small child. The staff was also very helpful and pleasant to speak to. If I go back to SB I'll surely stay there. We didn't get a chance to try the heated pool, but will do next time!

My friends and i were booked in a disabled room. We don't like the bathroom because the lock was not safe even for a disabled person. It has a big metal that was blocking the door so you can open and close when you go in and out of the bathroom but it was put there without knowing that it can injured someone because the metal was sharp. We were also have to wait 20 minutes before we were able to get into our room even if already past the check in time of 3:00pm. I don't want to go back there... Read more

We have stayed here previously, and are very happy with the accomodations. The rooms are nice and clean, and we have never had an issue with any outside noise. We arrived late, and the night auditor, Kim, was very helpful in getting us checked in quickly. She even gave us some warm chocolate chip cookies right out of the oven. That was a nice surprise! This hotel will be our "go to" in the Santa Barbara/Goleta area.

we were evacuated from the el capitan campground because of the "sherpa fire" of June 2016. we drove down 101 calling all kinds of places, even a pace where I was a rewards member number holder. all the rates were astronomical; $300 and upwards of $600 for one night! we were turned away from our last choice the holiday inn express (and not that sad either - some shady characters coming and going from there) when we remembered we past a Ramada just down the street. Breakfast is very important to us, and Ramada offers a good one, actually, it surprised me. It was a full breakfast with pastries, muffins, waffles, cereal and fruits. I'll start with the good. - The pond in the middle and the ducks were most charming. I spent time each morning watching as the ducks were fed and walked around. - There was sufficient table space for breakfast each morning and a room where our group met. - The beds were comfortable. Less than ideal: - The bathroom wasn't cleaned well. The tiles in the shower were cracked and there was water that looked like a leak on the floor next to the toilet most evenings (before we showered). - The saf... Read more

Having stayed in top end hotels in NYC and San Francisco, we were very pleased with what the Ramada offers for the price. As a family trying to save some money whilst on a long holiday in the USA, having a fridge, microwave, free wifi and free breakfast makes a massive difference! Breakfast is cereal, hard boiled eggs, huge waffles made to order, fruit, yoghurt, pastries, toast and tea/coffee/hot chocolate which is fab when it is free! The pool is excellent and there is a lovely lagoon where you... Read more

Nice place for a few days. Accommodation clean and tidy, pool was good, service from reception staff very good. Breakfast basic but sufficient. We stayed 4nights with a family from uk comprising 6 people. Aim for ground floor rooms facing garden and pool rather than car park. Tks

We have stayed there for 3 nights and the hotel is better than expected. The garden is beautiful, service was good. Kudos to Kether for making the prior arrangement on my booking. The freshly baked welcome cookies is a nice touch and delicious too. Was skeptical of some reviews earlier about old n dirty walkway, all not true. The room space for standard 2 queen beds room is generous, more than enough for 4 adults. Breakfast is sufficient and the environment is very pleasant.

The staff were very friendly from the onset. Check in was quick and easy. We had to upgrade rooms to get two double beds, but doing that was also easy. At the hotel, there was a meeting room, breakfast room, swimming pool and many other on-site facilities. The rooms were modern and spacious and had a balcony with a good view. The beds were very comfy and the bathroom was separated into 2 different parts: the toilet and the shower. In the area, there were many restaurants and places to eat. The ... Read more

We stayed 1 night at this hotel and it was just what we needed... Clean, comfy and affordable. The breakfast was great -- made-to-order Belgian waffles, cereal, eggs, bagels, toast, fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea, and juice. The pool was heated nicely and the lagoon and gardens added to the peaceful ambience. Fast check-in and check-out service. Highly recommend!

I stayed here for two nights while on business. Extremely disappointed with the facilities and the overall vibe of this place. The rooms are certainly not worth the money they ask for them. I ended up paying $180 for a weeknight stay, which is fine, being the summer and all but I was shocked at the state of this place. In all honesty, the staff was great which is the only saving grace here. There is also a really neat pond w sucks and swans which is great to get your expectations up only to be d... Read more

My son and I arrived after a long drive and dinner. The grounds appear nicely landscaped, but we did not have time to tour, since we were there for UCSB orientation the following morning. Santa Barbara is an international destination--many of the people we met at breakfast were from Europe. The Ramada is a good value for this expensive area. It's not near State Street, but it's near the airport and most visitors will have cars. The hotel looks like it was built in the 60s or 70s, but the ro... Read more

We stayed here for a couple of days using points and have enjoyed. The staff was friendly and the tasting and attraction coupons were a nice bonus. It is a little ways from downtown, but not too bad (6 miles or ~$13 each way to Uber). It was easy to drive over San Marcos pass to see some vineyards and enjoy an awesome view. Room was big, TV was small, bathroom was outdated, but overall comfortable and would stay again.

Love it, from the lagoon with friendly ducks you can feed, sparkling pool, seating area with tables, and friendly staff. I did love the older lodge feel to room. Gave it kind of a Rt 66 feel to the stay. Loved it and will be back. For me a good place to stay and rest and enjoy quiet. King bed is very comfortable. Stayed here once before about 2 yrs ago in an upstairs room(much nicer) Got in late and asked if the room was quiet and next to anything with noise, the guy said it was fine. I walked over and was given a downstairs room on the very end by the housekeeping room, along side an entry door that was noisy opening and closing, carpet was discolored upon entrance and the lamp on the table didn't work by the phone. The hotel itself is an OK property for the price in the area (Motel quality, but we discussed expect that). What is lacking completely is the customer service. Traveling with our elderly parents, on a long planned road trip with several overnight stops from San Francisco to San Diego, this is our 4th hotel stay on this trip. Booked and fully paid two adjacent king rooms for 2 nights over 4 months ago. All our previous hotels were great (In San Francisco, San Jose, Monterey & at the Big Sur at th... Read more

Many classmates stayed at the Ramada for our 50th high school reunion. We received excellent service. One evening we had an after function pool get together, 35 people, as we were visiting a hotel employee brought us freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. The hotel staff was excellent and made sure we received everything we needed and more. We will definitely stay there again.

The hotel itself was just okay but I didn't expect much for the price given the pricy area. However, the entire staff was hands down the most unfriendly and unprofessional group I've ever experienced. located outside the city center, it is a rather "normal" Ramada, nothing special, apparrently used mainly by one-night-stoppers; overall ok, security access with key cards not working flawless, pool area is nice, but rather small. Breakfast is offered in a kind of meeting room, lowest quality possible, not worth the dollar
