We booked an ocean view king room, but arrived to find they had oversold and we received a tiny, double room looking out on the parking lot. While they were apologetic, we still paid more than 400 dollars ( we had paid more than 500 dollars and they agreed to knock off 20 Percent) for a tiny room with an unbelievably uncomfortable bed. We both woke up stiff with bug bites and regretting our choice of hotel. The valet is also a mandatory $30. Positives - great location, across from beach and cl... Read more

I stayed here for 1 night with my family on the way to LA, and the waitress Nina at the breakfast buffet was absolutely lovely! She offered us extra fruit from the back fridge when we got to the breakfast late & it was gone. She was lovely, thanks! :)

I liked Hotel Milo. The staff were super. The accommodations were lovely and it's situated really nicely for accessing the beach, the train station, the walking district... And I would have given it five stars just for that. However, I would give it 1 star for their accounting practice. I reviewed my credit card bill on returning home and noticed a $15 charge from Hotel Milo with no description what it was for - I'd already paid my hotel bill in full. So I phoned and spoke with a lady ... Read more

Hotel Milo is located beautifully and has an authentic charm over it. A few small problems occurred during our stay but this was more than made up for by the great involvement of the staff. In particular Nina and Milosh from the bistro went out of their way to give us a great experience as well as Michael from valet parking who shared all his best tips to discover the area.

We were pleasantly surprised by the outstanding location, charm, quality, and amenities of this property. Mitchell at the front desk really made a difference, going the extra mile to have us feel instantly welcome and at home. Will definitely return for that reason alone, but also to enjoy the many amenities like the free bike rentals. Awesome place, people, and value!

We stayed here for 4 days, the staff were friendly but very slow, the concierge told us that parking was free but when we went to check out they wanted to charge us $30 a day, and stupidly we thought that an internet charge was a one time fee, it wasn't, but $15 a day! The room was OK, but for almost $300 a night it wasn't up to par, I took photos of dirt in the bathroom that was there for the entire 4 days we stayed

I stayed there one night on my way to San Francisco. I paid a total of $329 for a room that was 3 star at best. I felt like I was nickel and dimed , $15 service charge,$35 tourist fee, and $30 valet parking or I was told I would have to park on the street. I got up the next morning and my car was in a hotel parking space 100 feet from my room. The breakfast included some muffins, cereal, hot oats, and a bowl of mixed fruit. The best part is the hotel is ocean front.

Best feature Poolside with attentive service from Naz from Bulgaria. She made us feel welcome and part of the Southern California beach lifestyle. Enjoyed sunning, sippping wine and relaxing at this Hotel. Guests are treated well and able to relax without a worry!

Booked an "ocean view" room which is a signficant upcharge from the deluxe king rooms. Checked in at the hotel around 5:00 p.m. and we were assigned to a ground floor room near the stairs. It faced toward the ocean, but the ocean was not "viewable." Thinking that this room could not qualify as "ocean view", I called to the front desk, and the lady confirmed that we had booked an ocean view room and that she had not given us such a room. She said she would call back with a room change. A ha... Read more
