My family and I stayed two nights at the Brisas Del Mar. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The cheese and wine each afternoon was nice by the pool and the kids loved the milk and cookies each night before bed. The hotel was in a good location, just a short walk to the marina or a short walk to downtown where there were plenty of restaurants and shopping. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

The service was excellent! The room was very clean. The rooms are quaint, not exotic, this isn't a resort but it's an excellent place to stay. They offer Wine and cheese at night as well as cookies. The covered parking was nice. I was very impressed. I would definitely stay here again and I'm very picky when it comes to hotels.

Brisas Del Mar is located just two blocks from the beach in Santa Barbara and is within walking distance of excellent restaurants and shops. The rooms are large (all queens, kings, or suites) with well appointed bathrooms. There is off street parking below the units, and the Inn features all the amenities (Pool, Gym, Bicycles). There is a nightly Managers reception, and great morning breakfast which can be enjoyed on the grounds or in the comfortable area off of reception. Service is always ... Read more

This is the second time we've stayed at Brises del Mar. The first time we only stayed one night, but we like it so much that we decided to come back for an extended visit. It was great! We stayed in a suite, a real treat. The rooms were big and homey, the kitchen had everything we could need. We really enjoy the amenities at this hotel, the bottle of bubbly upon arrival, the sizable Continental breakfast in the morning, the relaxing wine and cheese in the afternoon, and the thoughtful milk and ... We booked a one night stay on Friday, our room was upgraded to a suite. The suite was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Was a easy quick walk to the beach and pier. The happy hour wine and cheese was good and relaxing, and later cookies and coffee was a nice treat. Lovely pool and lounge areas, beautiful landscaping, comfortable bed,all at a great price for Santa Barbara!

We really like this place for several reasons: 1. Great location 2. Great service - stuff really wants to please you 3. Multiple special features - champagne in the room, wine in afternoon, milk and cookies in the evening, free internet and etc. 4. Reasonable breakfast 5. Good covered parking The only negative thing was slightly outdated rooms, which was not a big deal.

I spent four nights in Santa Barbara in the Brisas del Mar Inn - and enjoyed every second of it. Location is great, rooms are very spacious and comfortable, staff and service are awesome, processes are efficient and uncomplicated. Amenities are also super - free WIFI, guest laundry, and (my personal highlight) free DVD "rental". THE place to stay in Santa Barbara

We stayed in Santa Barbara for two night and we thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish and we were sorry to leave. The staff are beyond excellent and nothing is too much trouble for them. The suite was large with a separate kitchen , totally kitted out if you felt like cooking and it had a large fridge. The lounge has a tv as does the bedroom. We visited this hotel for 3 nights to round off a 2 week holiday celebrating my wife's 50th birthday. The Brisas Del Mar is a truly magnificent hotel, well located beautifully kept and with staff that nothing is too much trouble to please the customer. Simple touches such as complimentary bike hire and cheese and wine every afternoon make this a wonderful place to stay in Santa Barbara.

Our Standard Kingsize Room has a bath or shower. A television and radio. Tea/ coffee maker . Safety Deposit Box. Bathrobe . Cable Channels . Nice enviroments. The Pier with a lot of Harbor Restaurant. You can dinner and have a nice view over the beach and sea. The town is not so far from the beach. You can walk under a kind of tunnel. Then you reach a nice town with more restaurants and pubs. A lot of shops. Everyone can enjoy there. We had enyjoyed a lot in this place.

This is a motel style Inn hotel, which most hotels in the Santa Barbara area seem to be. Rooms are mainly on the upper level with covered car parking spaces in a courtyard underneath the rooms. Decent affordable Santa Barbara option. Nice motel, staff, location. Beach and seafood are nice in Santa Barbara, culture is definitely more relaxed than other stops in California. Unsure if I would visit again or if I would stay in LA, depends on type of trip.

The location and setting of this motel are very nice. Easy walking distance to the beach, the harbor area and the downtown shopping district on State Street. The lobby is cozy and provides a healthy breakfast selection, good coffee, a very nice late afternoon wine and cheese reception and for the children of all ages, milk and cookies are available in the early evening hours. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The decor is definitely retro; comfortable but not elegant.

I guess I thought I was booking a motel... because that's what Brisas Del Mar must have been once upon a time. But it exceeded all of my expectations. Firstly, the staff. They are awesome. So friendly and helpful and always available, 24/7. The buffet breakfast in reception is better than at many hotels I have tried (and all-inclusive!). They have over 1,200 DVDs to borrow if you feel so inclined. And they have brilliant bikes to borrow (again from no extra charge) to roam around the city or to ... Read more

Stayed here for 1 night/2 rooms & had suites, they were spacious albeit a little tired decor wise but probably most importantly the beds were very very comfortable. Breakfast is served in the lobby? & their advertised fitness gym odds tiny room with 2 pieces of equipment. There are no real staff apart from the receptionist & it feels like a motel but charges hotel prices. It's ok but next time in SB I would look for somewhere else.

This was our first time in Santa Barbara. We were coming from Vegas so considering what we paid, the hotel seemed so cramped. So close to industrial roads. I would have rather stayed right by the beach or around State st. where nice restaurants are located. This was a 10 min. walk to the beach. The pool is super small. The families literally took turns to use it. The staff was nice. The facility was clean.

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the nightly wine/cheese reception, the cookies and milk and the use of their bikes (so much easier for us to not travel with ours). The breakfast was ample. We stayed in a King Suite which had a ton of room and storage. Parts of the room are "outdated", but since it's so clean I actually found it to be charming. The hotel is not cheap for a hotel with no sea views and not "at the beach" but next door to a gas station. It redeems itself because of the wonderful and helpful staff and its added touches - free breakfast, afternoon tea, cookies, cheese and wine, free bikes, wifi etc. The bedrooms are reasonably spacious with comfy beds, robes and pillows. In the motel category, this place would be ok, but we paid a rate that a real luxury hotel would not refuse. That made us feel like this was robbery. Add to that the gasoline smell all over the place (the gas station is right next to the motel) and you have an horrible experience.

Name of this hotel is very misleading. It is NOT at the beach. It's two long blocks away. We would never have paid these rates for only an average motel. The staff were pleasant. Breakfast was average and I wouldn't go back or recommend this place.

This is a "motel" -- not an Inn. And not At The Beach -- at least not in my definition. Small parking lot, exterior access rooms, and nothing that resembles the pictures on their website. I have to say I was a bit disappointed in this place. The photos on the website make it look quite lovely, and it's not inexpensive. While it is perfectly adequate, clean and comfortable, it really is no more than a nice motor court. Outside balconies overlook the parking lot; there is no real view anywhere. I will have to read more carefully -- I thought the place was "on" the beach, but in fact it is about 1/2 mile "off" the beach. The staff, however, were very helpful and service was good. We... This hotel really tries hard to provide amenities and give good customer service. The suite was spacious and clean, The bed and pillows the most comfortable I have slept on for a long time. The breakfast, snacks and cookies good. The only criticism I have is that the decor is a bit tired and there is no outlook from the rooms.
