Staff is always great at this hotel. Don't hesitate to try the hotel's restaurant. Great lunch and dinner. Easy access to airport and within walking distant to South Coast Plaza mall and many restaurants.

I tried this hotel because I got a great online rate. It is a very nice hotel. Even though it is located close to two major freeways I didn't hear any traffic. It's a little hard to find because it's in the middle of an business park but great proximity to shopping, dining, beach, and airport. I parking seems a bit limited but we found what seemed to be the "last" spot each time. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I stayed for business trip. The hotel its ok, great people at valet, at front desk, and in restaurant. But... First of all, what is an empty freezer doing in the room turned on making noise. And in the other hand, great breakfast buffet, a lot of breads you can choose but, imagine this...there was no cereal. Howcome a Hotel with breakfast bufet had no cereal. Not a single type. Unforgivable.

We escaped for a weekend trip to Disneyland and this doubletree is our choice every time. I love the atmosphere and it's about 20 minutes away from Disneyland. The only part that is unfortunate is that you have to pay for parking. Management and staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. I love this property. There are awesome qualities like the lake out front and the walk around it. The rooms and hotel were very clean and minimalistic. Definitely recommended for a trip where you won't be spend... I arrived to the hotel at 10:30 pm. Was in town for a college graduation. Drove from Las Vegas, to Orange County, attended graduation festivities. When I checked in the hotel, both elevators were down. My room was on the 6th floor. They only had 1 staff member help me. I still had to carry a luggage, purse and computer bag up 6 flights of stairs. Not only that, the next morning needed to break a $20 bill. The front desk said they could not break it. The hotel seemed fine although the gym leaves a lot to be desired. I wasn't impressed with the staff but they weren't overtly rude. We had some issues that were out of the ordinary, the pipes were being worked on so the water was out when we arrived. Great lunch meal in restaurant our server was FABULOUS!!!

Overall this was a very nice hotel, I was there for two nights (Fri/Sat) for a softball tournament and for the most part everything was nice. Pros: Very nice location, situated in a business area fairly near the freeway but with some features (like a pond) near it that makes it seem nice. The restaurant was good, though the bar doesn't open to 5. One nice thing, it offered a 4-person pasta (spaghetti/alfredo) meal for only $40. It really saved us some money, but there are restaurants you can... Read more

For me traveling with a pregnant wife and being put on the fifth floor was kind of ridiculous. With one of the elevators being out of service on a busy weekend and it taking sometimes 15 mins for a ride down or up we were resorted to taking the stairs multiple times and putting strain on my wife. This is completely unsatisfactory and being part of Hilton hotels this is shame. These hotels used to be good, Because of this I will no longer stay at one of these hotels against. The Double Tree Club Hotel is in a nice setting, a man-made lake/pond on one side of the hotel. The rooms are clean and quite. The amenities in the areas are minimal since the facility is in a business office area. You need to be out of the area to find good restaurants.

This hotel is older, it is out of the way, and much smaller than the newer, flashier Doubletree across the street. That being said, the inside is remodeled, and it is quiet and clean. It is well priced for the area (heart of Orange County, where nothing is inexpensive), and close to anything you may want to do in the area. I've stayed at this hotel 4 times now, and am sure I will be back again.

I had booked a room via the Hilton app, top floor, away from elevators, facing away from freeways. This was confirmed, all set to go. If you are into mediocrity, this would be a great property for you. When your signature amenity is a cookie, they should always be on hand and offered at check-in. One hand towel and one washcloth in the room? Not even Hampton does that. The charging for parking is ridiculous. If you want to charge for parking put in professional parking gates and stations. Instead of your tacky make shift barriers. Not all, but a couple rude parking attendants.

Room 631 - Balboa Suite - is in desperate need of an upgrade / refresh. Carpet old and stained, couches old and stained - coach secondary pillows tattered and stained. Bathroom missing hand tool rack. Wet bar sink dirty, curtains tattered and need replacement. A/C noisy and not overly effective. We were staying here as part of a destination wedding event for my best mate and his fiancé. Price and location were right, other than that the bar is tiny and the rooms are in desperate need of r... The staff were all extremely friendly and very helpful. The dinner food was very good and a good selection of drinks. The downside was the breakfast... It was a bit pricey and not very good. I would recommend this hotel for people traveling on business, it seems to be more aimed towards that. We didn't mind staying there, but would prefer something with more to do for personal travel.

hotel is average - dated and average. Staff seems nice. Breakfast - hard to find staff, breakfast mediocre. Better to go elsewhere - even if you are gold or plat. location is great and rooms are ok. good view of lake. downside, soap left in soap dish in shower was gross. Upside, staff seemed nice at counter

We have stayed at this hotel two or three times. I really like it. The housekeepers are great and it makes me feel special when my face towels are expertly folded like a blooming tulip. I actually use the pool when I come here and I don't always use the pools at the hotels we stay at. This one is inviting for some reason. Plus it's off to the side of the hotel so everyone doesn't watch you swimming as they come and go in their business attire. The restaurant is nice - we've only eaten breakfast ... Read more

I was on the sixth floor, facing the freeway. I had wanted a single queen room but these are a rarity here. I settled for a double queen. The room was typical cramped room. The desk chair was nice, the regular upholstered chair was jammed in a corner due to no space. Bathroom has a pocket door. The bathroom floor is slippery when dry. When damp, it is a fall hazard. I barely caught myself before I fell, averting disaster. The room was clean and tidy, but the furniture has nicks and gouges in... Read more

Every staff member I encountered was smiling and said hello. Housekeeping did a fantastic job of keeping the room clean. The front desk handled our check in, check out and misc. requests in short order. Even the Valet staff was outstanding and friendly. This has been an annual stay for me for a few years, and some of the staff even remembered me. WELL DONE !

I was forced to go to this small property because the large property down the street was sold out. Not the experience I was looking for on a business trip. Very small bar and the food in the restaurant is nothing to write home about. The staff were nice but overall not the kind of property I was looking for.

Rooms are very nice and clean. Parking limited and not free. One of the elevators was not working so that made for a couple of long waits to get to the 6th floor. I would recommend valet parking, since it is the same cost and locating a parking space on your own can be hard.

ruined my weekend. couldn't sit by the pool because it smelled of traffic pollution. the shower head was too low for me to wash my hair. the bath tub too old and stained for comfortable bath. i had to pack in the dark because of power outages and left a personal item there i can't get back now. the coffee was awful. no point in getting the corner room bc my view of the free way and lack of privacy with people walking by.

Stayed here because of early am meeting to avoid traffic driving from Los Angeles area. Check in was courteous and friendly. Parking lot is just that, a large lot outside of entrance. The hotel is a bit dated but it was clean. Bed was comfortable. I wish they provided larger bath soap bars. Had room described as lake view, but actually was more of a large tree in front of window view. 1. 8pm and waiting 4th in line only one agent to do checkins 2. Rooms are really dated 3. Gym is a tiny room at end of 2nd floor 4. Airport shuttle isn't regular need to call to have them collect you unlike the Hilton 5. Diamond booked as two guests only given one breakfast voucher 6. Meager toiletries in the room 7. The slowest two lifts I've ever encountered. Will I stay again? Probably Does this hotel need a lot of work? Yes

A standard typical Doubletree business hotel, dated but clean. The rooms are a good size, clean, but looking dated too. There is not really much more to say other than you get what you pay for. I chose this hotel for it‚??s ‚??lakeside setting‚?? but this is not as special as they make it sound and very underused by the design and layout of the hotel. The staff lacked enthusiasm and don't really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I have a minor gripe; the use of paper cups and pla... Read more

Hotel staff were friendly. The front desk manager was professional and prompt. My team and I had a great guest experience due to your breakfast staff. He was accommodating, and thoughtful -- he had terrific customer service. The rooms and hallway have a distasteful smell, bathrooms and AC are dated. The hotel rooms did not feel clean especially the bathroom, smelled of old wet towel.

Dirty dishes everywhere upon arrival including used utensils up and down the entire 5th floor Honors floor. Checked in at 3:30pm and it appeared as though dishes were there from previous evening. If hotel management doesn't care about outward appearances, I can only image what is going on behind the curtain. Too bad. This was my go to hotel while on business in OC. First, I left this hotel with swollen, irritated, and red eyes due to poor air quality. There are individual inwall units in the room and it was just horrible. No other explanation for the issue because as soon as I left, it was better, then staying in a family home for the rest of my trip to CA, the issue completely went away. Second the food was horrible in both the restaurant and in room dining. Thankfully I complained the second day and was given a refund, but the manager, who needs t... Read more
