We stayed at the Crowne on an overnight to catch our cruise. For this purpose it met all of our needs. The bed was comfortable, the water was hot and the wifi worked. That being said it really isn't what you expect out of a Crowne Plaza Hotel. The carpets are frayed as you walk off the elevator which are extremely slow and creaky, the bathroom caulking is chipped away, the electrical outlets only worked in 1/2 the room. It needs a bit of TLC. The front desk staff that we interacted with we... Read more

Very nice, spacious lobby. Check in a breeze. We were first of 3 couples to arrive. Desk said we would all be on same floor....didn't happen. We called about shuttle to cruise port, $5 person. When we checked in, price the same, but no sign up sheet, first come first served in vans that hold 12.....will see how that goes considering there will be 4 ships in port.... Rooms comfortable and roomy. No micowave. numerous resturants and coffee shops nearby within walking distance. Couple small neighb... Read more

Stayed there overnight before a cruise. Like probably all other guests at that time. Hotel needs a facelift urgently. Roomsize okay, however dated; bed very comfortable. As it was Thanksgiving, no other restaurant than the hotel restaurant was open. Food was okay. However, room not comfortable and it smelled slightly of fried food. Even though I usually use the pool in a hotel, I would not have wanted to use this one (it was too cold anyway). It did not look inviting at all (pictures do not sho... Read more

We booked this hotel as we were going on a cruise the following day and it's quite near to the cruise terminal. The hotel is well aged and it definitely shows. The aircon was making so much noise we had to turn it off or else we couldn't sleep. The shuttle to the cruise terminal will only leave at a set time which is not suitable if you had a Carnival Faster to the Fun pass as it will arrive after the allocated time. We then tried to use Uber to get us to the cruise terminal but there's hardly a... Read more

Had a very nice 2 night stay here. This is obviously an older property that has been upgraded , with just a few minor things overlooked, like the closet door that wouldn't close which made it very difficult to get to the bathroom. The closet doesnt really need a door. Our room was on 9th floor with a great view of the harbor. The staff was great; waiters, bartenders, and front desk. Food very good in bar and dining room. Would definitely stay here again if I ever have a reason to visit th... Read more

My family and I stayed here for one night before a cruise. It needs a lot of updates... It needs some curtains/blinds in the hallways and the elevator sounds like it is going to crash in the basement the entire time you're in it. The windows are so filthy you can hardly see out of them. The room was clean enough, but the chair upholstery was stained a brownish-yellow on the arms, and the paint could some major re-dos as the walls were chipped and scraped! The carpet was also stained. They ... Read more

I'm currently at this hotel. I want to start the review by saying we have stayed here before...on the first night of our honeymoon, 13 years ago. Wow, I can't believe how much it has gone downhill. Quite literally, I'm in a room that has a downhill slope from the window to the door. (4th floor harbor view suite). When I look out the window, it, too, is downhill from left to right. For a little comedy relief, our bed is even sloped backwards...don't have to worry about any leg swelling tonight, ... Read more

We booked the Crowne Plaza for its proximity to the harbor (we were departing on a cruise) and for its "Park and Sail" package, which, for a nominal fee above the standard room rate, allowed us to leave our vehicle there while on the cruise and provided free shuttle service to and from the cruise terminal. The room was clean and spacious, the breakfast buffet was varied and tasty, but what truly stood out was the service. At the front desk, Sheri cheerfully checked us in, provided a wealth of ... We booked the Crowne Plaza for three nights while visiting family in RPV over the Thanksgiving holiday. Room was nice; on 10th floor with view of the harbor. That's about all good I can say. Only one elevator worked; didn't clean room on the first day; TV guide didn't work (DirecTV) and lots of pixels on screen; both times I went to the gift area it was closed; walls are very thin, need I say more; and, they now charge for parking. Think twice ...

I reviewed this hotel before but stayed there again last week and re-confirmed my opinion that it is about the best pre-cruise hotel. Service, efficiency and care make this special. They have a good breakfast and valet park your car underground while you are cruising.
