I know I've reviewed this before, but the 3rd floor is remodeled, so I want to give an update. They have updated the 3rd floor now, May 18. The room is much better, as even better. The furniture, desk, beds, lamps, carpet and wall paper have all been updated. More of a modern look, but not overboard. All lights except the main room are on light/motion sensors. What a nice touch. The lamps on the desk now have AC and USB ports on them. Before the nearest AC was on the wall 6-8ft away. I ... Read more

A mid priced hotel that seems to cater to business people and association meetings. When I went, there were very few families. Rooms: We had two queen beds with a sofa sleeper in the second room. There was an issue with the sleeper when we tried to put it down. Rooms were clean, HVAC worked well, bathroom was spotless. After trying the pool, which was a bit too cold for me, I had a very much needed peaceful sleep. Breakfast wasn't as good as the one we had at the ES near Pasadena, but ... Read more

A bit far from the city center but there is a bus stop close to the hotel. Around the hotel there are shopping and dining but generally its a quiet location. There is an indoor pool but a bit small.

See scores, enough said. We were emailed an offer to upgrade, chose that option then were not upgraded. Room was not cleaned sufficiently. Toilet plugged first night. Room smelled like smoke. Housekeeping did not tidy room or replace coffee/shampoo, etc. Just a poor experience overall from what we expected.

They started a major room renovation project months ago and are still in the midst of renovation but the newly renovated rooms are awesome! The room I stayed in was bright and up-to-date. I had a lot of problems with the experience with staff. First, there was miscommunication about what we needed to do to change from a king to two queens (which we really needed) and we ended up being very uncomfortable for two nights. Our extended family stayed here for two nights a few weeks ago for a family wedding. Many of the wedding guests were able to check in early (which is always nice after a long drive and/or flight). The rooms are quite large and the separation of bedroom/living room area (as is typical of Embassy Suites) worked great for visiting as well as resting/sleeping. As busy as the hotel was - Parents Appreciation Weekend for Cal Poly, a big soccer tournament and our family wedding - the hotel was never... Read more

Was just informed by front desk that late check out requests are first come first serve. You have to request it that morning. They won't even make a note to let you know. So get up early if you need al little extra time in the afternoon. Past stats haven't been bad but this procedural stuff for people that stay 50-100 nights a year with Hilton is ridiculous.

We had a staycation at the Embassy Suites when our house was being treated for termites. We chose this property because we like the Hilton brand, it offered a large two-room suite with a complementary evening reception and breakfast, and it was in a convenient location, a short walk to shops and restaurants and a short drive to downtown. Our room was on the third floor near the elevator and was very quiet. We made good use of the micro and fridge and thought the bed and pillows were very comf... Read more

We stayed in 307 which is on the North West wing, and is pleasant and quiet. After an earlier meeting, we felt like exercising, so we went to the pool and did some laps for about thirty or so minutes, which helped with burning off our lunch. This was a horrible experience, especially considering that I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member. First, the drains in the shower did not work adequately. The bath tub immediately started filling up as water did not drain out quickly enough. It's pretty disgusting to be standing in a pool of filthy water. Second, neither of the two bed side lamps worked. I checked whether they were plugged in and they were. Either there were problems with the electrical outlets or the lamps, or both. Third... Usually enjoy staying here but it is currently being renovated so the huge lobby has been blocked off. All the plants and trees have been removed and so the nicest thing about staying here isn't available. The management is trying to make the best of it. It's decorated with Christmas themed decor. So if you don't mind a little construction noise and the lack of ambience you may be ok booking here. Not sure how long it will be under construction.
