Only a one night stay, thankfully. Room was nice and seemed new or newly renovated. Beds were comfortable. TV would not power on. Toilet would not flush. I'm sure they could've fixed, surprised they didn't know. Location is good for reaching Pasadena.

We stayed here while in Los Angeles for our sons wedding. The hotel was clean and the service polite and prompt. Our safe had a dead battery, that when the front desk was advised, was promptly taken care of. Had breakfast one morning and it was reasonably priced and delicious. I would stay there again.

I had an wonderful stay at this large, friendly hotel infused with authentic Chinese culture. Room was big, cozy and the bed was so comfortable. The only problem I noticed was in the bathroom. Mold/mildew is starting to grow on the ceiling above the shower. Please remedy soon, I'd like to stay again.

Excellent hotel and staff. We were there for trade show in pasadena which is about 25 minutes drive away. Only down side is all the restaurants in the immediate area are chinese and this is the main culture if the area. So we had to travel out of san gabriel if we did not want to eat in the hotel each night or chinese restaurants each night.

The poor was mainly about the room given is not as expected, and the insufficient light in the room. I was booked for "2 queen bed superior", in the description, it mentioned "Separate Bathtub and Shower"; however, I was given an ADA room (which I guess from the bathroom equipment), and the bathtub is missing, while the front desk did not mention it at all. Picked this hotel because it was a Hilton and it had a reasonable price compared to more central options. The hotel was fine. Room smelt a bit musty. Parking was inexpensive at $5. Not that this was a problem, but it is a completely Chinese area, which is a bit cool but totally unexpected. The area seemed safe. The staff at the front desk were very nice and helpful. My son and i were only staying for a few days. We would have loved to use the pool but it was really really cold. The beds are really comfy but the pillows were horrible. The room was very nice everything was newly remolded. lt was nice having a fridge. Loved the huge bathroom and great hair products. The bartender was the highlight of our stay very down to earth awesome personality. He's 74 years old but looks 50 The Hilton Resturant needs... Read more

The San Gabriel was booked in for my family of 3 via a local friend in LA although I was expecting a hotel more central to Hollywood we as a family were greatly surprised by our Hilton stay. Within hours of arriving we met Alma and Irene in the lift whilst returning from the pool. Both these very lovely ladies work in admin, greeted us with open smiles and welcomed us to the hotel. Within an hour on returning to our room another lovely lady called Joella delivered a bottle of bubbly and a chee... Read more

I was looking for a hotel that is close to Cal State LA. Most of the hotels close to the campus are old motels. I found this Hilton, and it's only 10 minutes to the campus. The staff and community is excellent. A lot of great Chinese restaurants walking distance. It's a very safe community, and hotel. I will be staying here every time I go to visit!

Excellent hotel! Extremely clean and a nice facility. Great customer service. Breakfast and dinner buffets were great with lots of choices. Very friendly staff. The location wasn't perfect for me, but I chose it because it was the closest Hilton to where I was doing business. Very glad that I did - my experience was excellent. Outstanding all the way around!

Parking space is tiny. Dodge Durango hardly fit. It's in the prime location but the parking is a night mare. You don't see those tiny parking spaces in other places in states. I don't understand why they make the parking space this tiny.

I had to be in LA for business but couldn't really justify the high room rates in downtown LA so I found this Hilton, which was about 20 minutes from my meeting location. (Yes, LA traffic is terrible but by staying off the freeway I did avoid a lot of traffic and got to my location in 20 minutes.) I was immediately treated as a valued guest from the moment I entered and throughout the entire stay. The pool was not available but that was not a problem for me since I was not planning on swimming ... Read more

Upper class hotel. All staff was still personable and kind. Nicely appointed, comfortable, and secure. Security was nice since we were 2 gal pals traveling on business. Busy city but we lost that feeling once we were in the hotel.

My wife and I spent the weekend here because it was close to the Huntington Library, had good reviews and fit our budget. What a great choice. The staff was so friendly and nice. We immediately felt at home. The room was big, the bed comfortable and the bathroom was clean with both a separate shower and bath. Just a wonderful experience with absolutely no complaints.

My hotel experience as a Hilton Honors Gold member was excellent. Upon arrival my family and I were upgraded to a Junior Suite since one was available for us at the time. The front desk staff were very polite and friendly and accommodated our request to switch our room from a double queen to a single king bed which we wanted. We got lucky with a parking spot close to the front doors and we didn't use our vehicle the entire time because wherever we wanted to go was walking distance away (restaura... Read more

Awesome place to stay. Out of this world breakfast, clean rooms and great staff. Well worth the price. Close proximity to Dodger Stadium. Located in Chinatown where there are great restaurants and across the street shopping. You won't be disappointed.

Stayed at this hotel for a total of five nights with my wife and son. We picked this hotel becoz it was near to our friend's home. We first stayed for three nights. The first impression was ok as the room was spacious and clean. The mattress was too soft and the lobby was old style but big. We then checked out and proceeded to San Diego for a 2-day short trip. We tried to store our luggages (4 big pieces) at the concierge for two nights coz we didn't want to carry them to San Diego but the hotel... Read more

I discovered this hotel "gem" several years ago when attending the Breeders' Cup at Santa Anita. Now, it is the only hotel for me when I am in the area. It continues to exceed my expectations and I could not be happier. The staff is truly exceptional. Special thanks to Mr. Joseph Lee and his tremendous staff in the Trinity Restaurant. Chef Gary Dahl, Simon, Annie, Henry, Paul, and Billy made coming down to breakfast each morning something to look forward to. We were greeted as friends and ... Read more

I'm not sure if this is typical, but the week I stayed here the rate was about $100/night, which for the LA area is incredible, let alone for a brand-name hotel. My favorite part about staying here was the breakfast buffet, the highlights of which for me were the smoked salmon, berries, and fresh tropical fruit. Room was modern and clean, however nothing truly exceptional. Location is excellent, lots of shopping and restaurants nearby (I highly recommend checking out Vege Paradise just across th... Read more

What a delightful experience! The room was clean and relaxing, attention to detail was astounding. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly; always had a smile and a wave. The work out facility was clean and met my needs. The restaurant, Trinity, served the most wonderful piece of salmon with veggies; the wait staff were friendly and most accommodating. The staff made being away from home a delightful experience.

I'm actually shocked that Hilton put their name on this one. It's connected to a strip mall in the middle of what I think is the China Town of LA. The pictures make it look stunning, and it does have a beautiful garden, that overlooks the freeway, the pool is nice, but the hot tub was really shallow, the room wasn't impressive and it took forever to get hot water out of the taps. Half way through a shower and it finally started to warm up. I'm normally a Hilton Honors member, but at $400/night, ... Read more

Good Hilton hotel in the area. The hotel room is clean and relatively new feeling. Stayed on the 6th floor and it is quiet during my stay. My stay included breakfast and there are some Chinese breakfast dishes in addition to the normal American breakfast dishes. There is a good size plaza right next to the hotel with some Asian restaurants. There is a bigger plaza across the street of hotel with more Asian restaurants and shops. There is a $5 dollars nightly parking fee, which is not too bad.... Read more
