"Avoid Wyndham Canterbury like the plague! The road noise is TERRIBLE! The staff is insolent and snotty! We had a reservation where we were required to change rooms. At EVERY other Wyndham we have stayed at, the other Wyndham resort would do what they called a 12:00pm to 12:00pm switch, meaning, that you would stay in your first room until 12:00pm while they cleaned and made up your next room, ON PRIORITY. Then, they would move you directly into your new room.

Wyndham Canterbury forces you to check out at 10:00am and wait until they get your next room ready at their leisure. After waiting SIX hours, I approached the Assistant Manager and informed her that my patience had warn out, that is was now PAST the normal checkin time of 4:00pm, and yet, I am informed that the room is STILL NOT READY! NOT a hospitable way to treat a Presidential Reserve Owner -- make them sit around for SIX hours waiting on a room that they are apparently NOT attempting to get ready! The Assistant Manager then promptly put us in another room of equal size. HOW LONG HAD THIS EXACT SAME TYPE OF ROOM BEEN SITTING AWAITING AN OCCUPANT WHILE WE SAT IN THERE WAITING ROOM!

STAY AWAY FROM WYNDHAM CANTERBURY!!! They do not have the Wyndham charm nor the Wyndham hospitality. You are better off spending money elsewhere than using your points at Wyndham Canterbury!"

"My husband and I have made many trips to SF for both business and pleasure. This time we decided to do without a car and make the most of the transportation facilities SF has to offer. We had the best time. The Hotel is centrally located and within an easy 1/2 city block walk of the cable car pick-up; a short walk to union square and public transportation to other areas of SF. We used the concierge to book trips for us to the Napa and Sonoma Valleys, all the while, not having the cost of headaches of driving a car.

This was our best trip ever to SF and the greatest place to stay!"
