Welcoming staff, convenient location, cozy room, fun and lively Bar/Lounge. Had breakfast at their restaurant, attentive servers. Very helpful with making reservations, and sightseeing information. Wound definitely stay at the Warwick again.

We reserved a balcony suite (that's why we chose Warwick) but got a room without a balcony. When asked they told us we'll have to wait for the manager to come in in the morning. Then they called us back that they do have available one for us. Which was very helpful.

Rooms while small are nicely kitted out. Not too expensive. Shame no breakfast included. Sometimes you don't want breakfast in bed and you have to pay for this anyway. Next door is a nice diner so better to go there. Use the local parking garage just round the corner and get the hotel to stamp it for reduced rates.

First impression was not great. We walked from the BART to the hotel and upon getting to the hotel the doorman was chatting with the front desk person. As we struggled to open the door and get our luggage in he stood there and continued to chat - not stopping to help. The check in process was fine - they gave us a warm towel and let us know our room was ready to check in early. Great news! The hotel has been updated and rooms were nice. Small (which is typical San Fran). The shower/tub, when I ... Read more

Great hotel, well appointed and even though it was a first time stay for me I was upgraded to a suite at no extra charge. The staff was EXTREMELY polite and helpful. For a hotel this nice in downtown San Francisco the rate was very reasonable. It is within walking distance of many interesting things to do and a very convenient place to use Uber for getting around. I would highly recommend this hotel and plan to stay there again on my next trip.

Stayed in room 411. It smells like an antique store. Street noise was somewhat bearable but at certain wee hours of the night a street sweeper or garbage truck would rumble through. No a restful sleep for 4 nights. Also, since I booked through booking.com, I wasn't afforded the same amenities as preferred guest. They made me pay $15.00 to use a dinky little gym 2 blocks away. I guess I'm not important to them.

The Hotel has recently been renovated and the rooms are roomy and very comfortable and new. Our room had double glazing and was very quiet. We had a Street view room and there was a 24/7 convenient store on the opposite corner which was very handy. The Hotel is some 5 minute walk to Union Square The breakfast in their restaurant is yummy and the Staff are very friendly and were a big help. They made our stay in Frisco enjoyable. Thank you.

Just returned from a short break in San Francisco, staying at this hotel. We were greeted by very friendly staff, and a freshen up towel, which was nice after a very long flight. We were told we had been upgraded to a suite, which was lovely, clean and airy. The staff were very helpful during our stay, but not overpowering. We had a wonderful time, and the staff arranged a shuttle back to the airport, which was a lot cheaper than the taxi on our outward journey to the hotel. It was nice to stay... Read more

Think twice. You don't have to stay in downtown. Quality /price ration is low. Parking is 50$ per night. Too much street sound that wakes you at 7:30 AM. No scenic from window. İnternet is free and fast.

Spent a few nights in one of their Suites in May. Found the suite to be excellent, very spacious, very nicely and comprehensively appointed, fantastic bathroom with ability to separate shower/toilet, great lounge area, fridge/coffee maker etc. This hotel was second only to L'Hermitage in Vancouver during our trip and far better than its cousin Warwick Seattle. Staff efficient, friendly and for the most part accomodating. Has nice European Bar and Aveline restaurant (quite good). We had a few... Read more

The location of this hotel is great, but the lone elevator is painfully slow for a hotel of this size and the rooms are tiny. Furthermore, I have been trying to get a receipt for a 4 night stay for about a month now. The printer was broken when I was checking out, and I have called several times since then to have them email me a receipt to no avail. I would have expected more for the money I paid to stay here.

The Warwick Hotel is a beautiful boutique and the staff were superb. I would definitely stay here again, but I will book directly with the hotel next time. I will NOT use Trip Advisor for booking. I booked a Queen Suite via Trip Advisor, after searching for a hotel within budget and ratings, reading customer reviews and calling the hotel itself to confirm availability and rates. I decided to book thru Trip Advisor since it would save me about $33/night, and we are a small, start-up business. ... Read more

Our room was charming, well decorated and comfortable. The staff were courteous and Tiffany at the front desk was was the epitome of hospitality. Location of the hotel was excellent for shopping (a couple blocks from Union Square). Thoroughly enjoyable experience, will probably stay here again next March.

We had room 304 which had a great view and the room was nicely arranged with sliders to the bedroom and two balconies. The staff made a point to be super accommodating and friendly without being annoying! We stayed in June 2016, in a "park for a penny" junior suite. We had asked for an upper floor in the back for the noise. When we checked in, they acknowledged the request (seemed like it was the first anyone had read it), then cheerfully announced that we were in back on the second floor, no other room available. We had booked 5 nights and asked to move to a higher floor the next day. The room was beautiful, large, well furnished, nice toiletries. The noise from the alley was awful, if we had be... Read more

The hotel itself extends a warm welcome with decent sized rooms - although the sink in the bedroom and not in the bathroom was very unusual. Rooms and common areas had quaint little touches like the old style telephone in the corridor. Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay and it has a very nice restaurant and bath. Room... Read more

My first stay at the Warwick in San Francisco. Love it. The boutique hotel is charming from the moment you enter and are warmly greeted by the staff. The rooms are clean and well appointed. A bit funky and functional, spacious and well appointed. I even have a fireplace in my room with a nice sitting area. Perfectly located next to the downtown and not far from the convention center. I will return!

My husband and I stayed here for one night while meeting friends in the city. I would definitely recommend it, especially if you can get a corner room. We arrived on a sunny afternoon and the light was absolutely incredible- not overwhelming just gorgeous. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the furnishings up to date and fully adequate. Water pressure and temperature were fine. If we had to make two changes- we would have added a little more lighting for the evening time, and m... Read more

Quaint and convenient, but never the less, I wish I had done some research on the rooms (I will use Tripadvisor from now on). I see now they are all a little bit different. I see the above comment about requesting a corner room. We must have had the bare basic room. Hotel staff very helpful and courteous. The rooms were clean. However, I did not like the sink located inside the room. Then again ...this is a charming quaint boutique hotel so can't expect "cookie cutter" chain hotel accommodatio... Read more

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel approximately once a year since the late 1980s when it was the Regis. We loved its charm and location. Unfortunately, it has steadily declined since it became a Warwick property, despite the remodel. Though our visit in summer 2015 left us cold, we decided to give it a second chance for a 3-night visit starting Oct. 14, 2016. We won't come back. When we checked in we received a polite, if chilly, welcome from the male desk clerk. He did not welcome us... Read more

Service was excellent and the hotel was very nice. The perfect location if you are in San Francisco for your first visit. The bar downstairs also had great cocktails. I would definitely stay here again.

My stay was amazing. I was pleased with our Front desk receptionist Nikki. Our view and location of the Hotel was perfect. Since union square is only walking distance. So happy with our stay we will come back soon.

We had happy Hour there after work at the lobby bar - The European. The drinks were great and the food was the biggest surprise it was delicious. The hamburger and the Brussel sprouts were so good, so if you are staying at the hotel definitely check it out.

We stayed from Oct 14th until 19th 2016. It was our first time in San Fran but it wont be our last and we will defo stay at the Warwick again. About 70 bedrooms so a nice size. Rooms, deco, everything lovely. The staff were always very efficient, pleasent and very helpful, from front of house to cleaning staff. The only thing we cant comment on is the food because we didn't eat there but the menu's sounded good and if everything else is to go off i'm sure it is awesome.

It was my first time in San Francisco and the hotel is perfectly located. The staff is very helpful. The rooms are small, but they have everything you may need. We have a breakfast included package that was limited to only three dishes; I think that that can be improved to include the whole menu for breakfast, and coffee and juice.

Excellent staff, located near shopping district, rooms are small but neat and, I would think the hotel is not for a first timer in San Francisco not because of its overall experience but because of location. The attention and service was top notch.

I really enjoy staying here. It's an "honest" little hotel, and you can tell the staff take pride in their work. The rooms are a little small but very well appointed; very comfortable bed. Despite facing Geary Street which has some traffic all night, the room was fairly quiet, thanks to triple plane glass windows. Very convenient to Union Square, I really like staying here and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Nice little hotel in the middle of the shopping district. The rooms are quite small, but individual and cozy and would suite most travelers. Nice and friendly staff who was always eager to help you in any way they could. The location is great, just two blocks from San Francisco's Union Square and a few more blocks down to busy Market Street and the first stop of the Cable Car lines.

My husband and I decided to take a trip to the city for my birthday. I was looking for a nice hotel that wasn't horribly expensive and was in walking distance to Union Square and the SFMOMA. When I found the Warwick hotel had a great price for a Queen Suite with two bathrooms, I thought it was a typo. Where can you find a hotel with two bathrooms that isn't the Penthouse Suite? The hotel and staff exceeded our expections. Our room was very clean and beautiful with not only two bathrooms but two ... Read more

This hotel has a great location, only two blocks away from Union Square and many shops and restaurants. It is also a small hotel so won't be bumping into tons of people when gettin in the elevator or in the restaurants. Rooms are on the small side but beds and pillows are super comfy! It was also clean and well put together. Some of the a/c vents where super dirty, so allergies showed up! They offer free breakfast with some of the fares but you can only choose from three options they give you. T... Read more

The room smell was absolutely intolerable. It smelled old, stale and the second day of sewage. Beware of $75.00 deep cleaning fee as they charged us because they said the room smelled of smoke which was ridiculous. We tried to have it reversed and they so rudely refused. Totally spoiled our trip.

We had originally booked to stay in a hotel on nob hill but hidden charges and poor reviews on here made us look again. That's when we came across this place. A much better price and no additional charges for things that should be free in hotels. The location is very good. Close to Union Sq and the shops. Also very close to market street and the various transport routes that run along it like the F line between fishermans wharf and the castro. There are some homeless people around the area but... We loved this little spot. Our room had 2 bathrooms, Amazing! A super cute Jr. Suite. The staff were wonderful. It was not the fanciest place we ever stayed, but it was super comfortable. It was a last minute trip, they had a great room at a great rate and we could not have been happier with our choice.

My girlfriend and I were attending a conference and stayed at the Warwick Hotel in San Francisco for 3 nights. There was a really bad smell upon entering the room. Furthermore, there was a pizza box with food and grease residue left in one of the drawers, and stains on the drawer. The bathroom floor was very sticky and the towels looked very old, and a white stain was found on the duvet. We went to the reception desk and mentioned about the smell of the room and the pizza box that was probab... Read more

Although the decor was lovely, we checked out within 20 minutes of arriving due to the overwhelming musty odor in the room. There were stains on the sofa in the room as well. We were charged nearly $300 for the night anyway.

The staff were wonderful and accommodating. Traveled with friends here and we couldn't ask for a better location and better value for the money anywhere else around Union Square. The hotel was quiet and kept clean. It provided a base hotel to explore the city. I would definitely stay here again .

I enjoyed my stay at the Warwick. The front desk staff were warm and provided good guidance regarding what to do around the city during my short stay. The room itself was a good size, well-decorated, and quiet although there was definitely a bit of wear and tear on the walls. The location however was perfect. It is in the center of the city, a five minute walk to Union State and very close to multiple forms of public transportation including the cable cars. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Warwick over Thanksgiving and loved our stay! We rented a room in the "Loft" suite and loved the balcony that allowed us to watch the city traffic bustle about below - especially interesting on Black Friday! The room also had an in room fireplace that was nice to sit in the cold San Fransisco nights next to in an amazingly comfortable couch. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, offered us guides to the city- they suggested a Blues club nearby that was amazing! We a... Read more
