"Absolutely THE BEST VALUE and like they say, LOCATION, LOCATION. I could not have asked for a better stay or room. The staff were amazing, the room clean and comfortable all the way down to the five star big fluffy towels and the cotton robes. I had a balcony view courtyard room which any and all of them will afford a view of the bay, and wharf. The rate that I paid meant INSANE value for this area. Parking fee was lower than most for the area. Once hotel wanted 60 per night. TIP: if you want to save on parking, there is a lot on Beach that charges only 20 per night. Real estate in SF is one of the most expensive in the world so majority of them charge high rent for parking. CAR POOL in is the best option. You will find taxis to be MUCH cheaper than most cities. You can go all the way across town for 10 bucks.

The hotel is doing a fantastic job; everything was great. They have a heated pool in the courtyard, as well as a lovely firepit with additional heating units where you can sit around and converse regardless of temperature. The property is gated/key access which keeps the riff raff out. I felt very safe. There may not be a bar, but you can certainly bring your own.

"I was expecting my room to be alot nicer since it was noted as a deluxe room. My stay was ok since it was walking distance to the wharf and local bars, but hotel is overated in the description of website. There is no bar lounge in hotel, stairway to room from parking garage is not safe. Glad i was only there for one night but not worth the price paid. Overall I wasn't impressed and it wasn't what I expected!"

"It was a great experience. The hotel staff were friendly and very accommodating. The views were wonderful from our balcony of the bay and Alcatraz I am staying there again in a couple of weeks. Very close to Pier 39."

"Our stay turned out to be great. It had the best location of any hotel for being actually on the wharf. It even had a back entrance to the wharf so you didn't even have to walk around the block. The room was clean and tastefully decorated. Since we were so busy with sightseeing, the location was key. It was three blocks from the hop on, hop off buses, two blocks from the city bus, close to the train, and within walking distance to Pier 39, Alcatraz station, Ghiradelli Square, and Boudoin sourdough factory. There were many restaurants within a few minutes walking distance- everything from McDonald's for a quick breakfast to high end dining for dinner. The staff was always very helpful with directions and recommendations for dining, etc. I would definitely choose this hotel again."
