I really enjoyed the hotel, clean and comfy. I had no issues to find a place for my car. The room: good size, the bed is really good, no complaints. The shower is good but if you are tall, you might have some problem. But this is not a big deal. Kathy was very friendly and cordial. The breakfest is very simple, but is good. I recommed if you are looking for a good cost-benefit.

It's hard to find reasonably priced, clean accommodation in a good location in San Francisco but the Town House offers just that. Clean, unfussy rooms in classic old-school motel style. Parking was fine and we could walk down to Fisherman's Wharf area in about 15 minutes. Perfect if you're on a budget and just want somewhere comfortable to sleep and somewhere to park your car.

I had booked three nights accommodation at the Town House in August 2015 for our stay in March 2016. I had emailed back and forth with the hotel to make the booking and received a confirmation number. I explained that we would be late as we were getting a late flight in. They explained that we would need to ring the night bell to check in. When we arrived at 11:30pm we rang the night bell and the guy went to look for our reservation he told me it was not in the system and they were booked out. ... Read more

We had a good 2 night stay and found the owners very helpful to the extent they aloud us to leave our bags on check-out at the office till later that day, we found the room very comfortable and location great and close to Fishermans Wharf, value for money was good.

The staff is friendly enough, rooms are clean and it is a good location to walk to Fishermans wharf and transit stops. The rooms are non-smoking, but the facility is not. Rooms are accessed via outside balconies and smokers stand on the outside balcony to smoke. You have to walk thru the smoke if anyone is smoking when you leave or return. Additionally, if there are several smokers they tend to congregate and talk at all hours. Breakfast is, juice, fruit and packaged pastries.

We stayed here one night after flying in from Australia. San Fran is very expensive and we chose this place as it was well priced and good reviews. It was everything we needed for exploring.. Clean, close to everything inc fishermans wharf etc. Breakfast wasn't anything special but a nice touch and good coffee!

Love this place, our third visit. Rooms very clean and well appointed. Most importantly enough parking spaces for all the rooms, a must in San Francisco. Owners very friendly and helpful. Love the pots of flowers and small garden by the side of the car park. Good location in walk district of Fisherman's Walk. Good bars and restaurants nearby.

On the good side rooms are clean and you have parking. WAY overpriced. Good enough location but better choices in the area for a lot less. Breakfast is a joke for the price. A few pieces of fruit and plastic wrapped pastry. Wifi was very slow. People weren't overly friendly so glad we didn't need help. Wouldn't stay here again and we aren't really choosy. Just felt ripped off by the cost.

Picked up hire car from airport and a straightforward drive to motel. stayed three nights. Very convenient to walk to just about everywhere, down town, Fishermans Warf, Lombard twisty road. we even walked to Golden Gate Bridge! The best thing here is the free parking. The room was fine, not big or grand but all you need, coffee machine, fridge, There was continental breakfast in the very small reception area which you could take to your room. Unlike other reviews we had no problem at all with ro... Read more

Room was clean and was greeted by a nice receptionist. Bathroom was good and they have refrigerator and coffee machine which were the bonus! Good location, it is about 25 mins walk to the Pier 39. The breakfast was good, you even can take it to your room if needed. Wifi was icky - kept disconnecting. Most importantly, the free parking and comfortable rooms.

It's not a four star hotel, but it provides everything one needs to visit San Francisco: FREE PARKING; walking distance to the Lombard Street point of interest and to Fisherman's Wharf; clean room; refrigerator; breakfast (continental, but better than nothing). I definitely recommend it. PS- It may not be the cheapest in the area, but it was best value for me when I did my research.

This was a nice little hotel with a nice staff. We were able to walk to fisherman's wharf and we arrived 6 hours before check in and they let us use there free parking. The only negative was a terrible breakfast of wrapped pastries.

This motel is a good value place on Lombard Street which is not far from the front. About 15 mins from Fisherman's Wharf and 10 mins from the famous windy street. The rooms are fine, the bathrooms are fine and you get free wifi. The beds were very comfortable. There's parking on site You get breakfast but be aware it is very minimalist. Coffee, orange, some fruit and prepackaged pastries which you have to take back to your room. Compared to the price of other motels this is a good value pla... Read more

We had a double queen room which was a good size and clean. The hotel is friendly and is located well in San Fransisco. It's about a 20 minute walk to the Alcatraz tour ferry which is recommend. We then got a cab to the Golden Gate Bridge which I was about $18.

To all intents and purposes this is what I term as a traditional American Motel and ideal for a two or three night stay. The Motel is in a reasonably good location and was nice and clean. They do offer a type of breakfast which consists of the equivalent of Danish pastries, fruit, orange juice and coffee. Not massive, but adequate to get you going. Not to everyone's taste though. This has to be collected from the reception area and you take your snack on a tray back to your room to consume. Sham... Read more

It is a simple motel, with parking, mini-fridge, wifi, cable, and clean rooms. I was staying for a conference at Fort Mason. Very satisfied and excellent value relative to the area. It is a little loud as it is on Lombard St, but if you close the windows or have ear plugs, there are no problems.

OK for a 2/3 night stay. read the breakfast reviews, others have mentioned it really is that poor Typical US motel, rooms tired and in desperate need of modernisation. poor / slow Wi-Fi Reception staff were very helpful , but the manager really does need to smile once in a while, always looks like someone or something has upset him. Rooms dated and was unable to get air con to work , but not too much of a problem mid September. Had to turn in room fridge off at mains as it was so noisy I was una... Read more
