This hotel was very clean, updated, perfect location with some of the most courteous and professional staff I have encountered on any of my vacations. I look forward to staying here again in the future. They truly went above and beyond from providing great umbrellas for the rain to hiring a 3 piece ensemble to lull us into comfort after a long day out around town. I LOVED this stay

My parents and I stay here for 4 nights. When we check-in the front desk charged wrong amount of money. After make a conversation with them they said they were wrong and charge another $100 (they told me the wrong transaction was canceled). I double checked with them when we check-out and they said everything was fixed. BUT, my parents back to China for half a month already and the money not come back to their account. I really don't understand how this happened. My family trip to many places ... Read more

Pleasant clean comfortable centrally placed this RCI hotel is amazing value for money. Situated near shops restaurants and super markets and a friendly helpful reception always willing to assist. However the concierge desk is manned by timeshare sales staff or so it seemed. Now while I accept that there is a place for marketing of timeshare products I felt very pressurized by the sales team to attend a complimentary sales breakfast. I explained I have two timeshare properties already and t... Read more

There is a lot of positive about this hotel (location, rooms, friendly staff). At the same time there are some details that annoy a lot: 1) Time share. You need to repeat "no" several times every day (if you stay more than one day). The lady will be stick to this offer unless you become rude. 2) THEY WILL SPAM YOU (sorry for cap letters but pay attention)!!! When you make a reservation, you usually leave your mobile number. In a month after our visit they started to call me about "special off... Read more

Location: This hotel is located in downtown San Francisco, about two blocks from Union Square. It is an old hotel that has been upgraded luxuriously with modern amenities, but preserving the old majestic décor and flavor. Walking is easy in the neighborhood; and public transportation is readily available. This is also a time share property operated by Wyndham. Accommodations: We had the 3 bedroom (2 bath) Presidential Suite, which is very spacious and luxurious; and accommodates six persons. ... Read more

This is the second time I have stayed here. My parents are timeshare owners, and this would be our second Christmas at the Canterbury. I like that it is an older building they have refurbished, renovated, and updated. We first stayed in a three bedroom Presidential which had lots of room for the four of us. My friend and I then moved to a two bedroom Presidential in the taller building and our room was on the 10th floor which had a nice view. The bedroom I stayed in at the three bedroom was... Read more

This is my second stay here. This time the service failed miserably. Only the bell boys were good from a service perspective. I don't know why Wyndham has service issues, but they really lack consistency between visits and between properties. Last time I had great service, this time I hated my stay and couldn't wait to leave. The heater in the room not working (and the air conditioner automatically turning on...in December when it's cold outside) didn't help this trip either. When the ... Read more

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. We had a three bedroom presidential suite. The suite was huge, very well decorated and extremely quiet. It had everything you would have ever needed. The bell staff were awesome and always willing to help. The front desk staff are hot and miss. Some were really good, some. It so great. The lobby areas are very nice and comfortable. The location is great, adjacent to plenty of shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing attractions.

We had a wonderful stay at a good price just blocks from Union Square. Be aware that this a "vacation property" and they will pressure you to take in a free breakfast (c/w time share sales pitch) to rebate your valet parking. This would've been ~$80 for us, but we decided our time in this city was too precious. Room was large, beds comfortable. The free wifi was only adequate (don't try to do business without upgrading). Fridge, dishwasher, microwave and kitchenette. Huge bathroom (no tub). W... Read more

I've stayed in this hotel while visiting family twice. It's a great and reasonably priced hotel with easy access to tons! Within walking distance of great shopping, major subway station and a great downhill view towards the bay just one block over. Homelike amenities and great staff! Comfortable beds. Modern shower. Fitness center. Catered breakfast offered. Concierge service. Love it! I booked too late once and had to stay at a nearby hotel and was super disappointed.
