The location is right in the middle of the city with great shops and restaurants close around. Rooms are small but modern designed and very clean. Staff very friendly and informative. One point is that the AC is very loud.

Cute boutique hotel with excellent service from maid, porter and bar maid Courtney who was very proficient (friendly and entertaining!) front desk attitude (of some) and room service (ordering drinks) left a little to be desired. Overall we enjoyed our stay and I think the small problems we had will be ironed out as this hotel has only recently undergone a facelift and change of ownership ū??? location was perfect.

We arrived earlier than the standard check in time after a 15 hour flight but Jill was able to get us into a room straight away, upgrading us free from a Queen to a King room. The room had a fridge, multiple USB ports and the softest towels ever. The bathroom had large re-fillable shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand wash and body lotion instead of the usual little bottles. If you prefer soap you might be able to request it. The fitness centre was good with cardio machines, free weights, ... Read more

After searching for a long time i was able to get what i have considered the best cost benefit ever for my three days stay at San Francisco, considering room, location and other reviews. Just found it as i thought so with some additional good surprises like, nespresso shells in the room, gym on the top floor and, amazing tips from the gently people from the concierge, reservation desk. Asked for dinner and breakfast recommendations and both was beyond expectations. Definitely, will come back!

Great location with amazing access to Union Square. Only a quick ride over to Fisherman't Wharf, Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Bridge Park, Mission District and Castro. With an uber, it was usually between $5-10 to get to most places so don't bother with a MUNI pass - it's cramped and busy. If you want the trolley experience, take the F line and it's only $2.25/person. Great place to stay, really funky furniture.

We had 2 days (1 night) stay in SF, so location was a MUST. The hotel is very well located, only 1 1/2 block from union square, very convenient for such a short trip (as for any length of course). The hotel has been just renovated and I loved the theme, very modern and chic, but still it had an odd of old. Our room was a one bedroom suite in the first floor, across the elevator. We had all the night an annoying noise coming from all the machines (I believe air conditioners) that are lying in the... Read more

Enjoyed my stay here! I spent the last three nights of a week long Bay Area stay here. I am a big Giants fan and was hoping for a hotel that was a great location for exploring during the day and still have time to freshen up and easily get to the ballpark at night. The hotel is also close to the Powell St. BART station, which was helpful in getting to Oakland (Bay Bridge series!) relatively easily. I made use of the bus to get to other sites nearby that were a little too far for walking but also... Read more

Recently stayed for three night business trip when my usually places were booked up. The hotel was completely remodeled about 6 months ago into a new, hip style. While I generally prefer a straight forward business hotel, this hotel does have charm and style. The staff were friendly and helpful and they have more modern support services via mobile text. The room was small, but were had large windows and good light. The queen bed was one of the most comfortable I've encountered in hotel in s... Read more

My 10-year-old daughter and I stayed two nights at Hotel Zep. We loved the place. The room was contemporary and solid and the staff was exceptionally courteous. The game room downstairs was great (adding an arcade style game like Galaga would be a bonus, btw). The location is great, a short walk to Union Square and about an 8-minute walk to Powell Street BART. Highly recommend the place.

This hotel was very different to what we would normally stay in. It was a great find, the hotel staff were very friendly and the location was amazing. In the heart of the city close to the shops. A 2 mile walk from pier 39 which doesn't take too long and makes for a nice walk instead of taking taxis... The hotel itself was clean and well decorated. The bar was very nice... Booked through - kingsize bedroom @ standard room price, so it was well worth it. We didn't have a view and we had to take the elevator to the 4th floor to get to the 5th floor in their "other building" - kinda weird. However, the room number they gave us - was my mother's birthdate, so I thought this will be a good experience. :) The room was comfortable and although small, it's better than average sized for a cosmopolitan city. Interesting gray, black and more black color scheme in the common areas and hallways. Elevators were fast and easily accessible. As with most downtown hotels, parking is a challenge. I had never heard of this hotel so I was hesitant but it turned out to be just right for a staycay, and too cute! Incredibly stylish, cozy, clean, friendly and very helpful staff, and conveniently located, it was everything we needed. The front desk staff was able to recommend several nearby restaurants to meet our varied tastes. And we loved the really cozy lounge area. If I remember correctly they also had complimentary wine- always a winner. I will certainly return.

The hotel is very nice and in a very good location. Be aware that there's no restaurant or food service on-site, and the air conditioning unit was very loud, it was like sleeping right next to an ice vending machine.
