unfortunate property. No room service...in a hotel of this size and in a city of this sophistication, shocking. I recommend avoiding this property. I tried to use their iPad to order from an outside restaurant for delivery, but it malfunctioned.

Myself, husband and our 15-year old son stayed for 7-nights starting Christmas Eve in the standard double-bed room and overall it was a pleasant stay. The room was big enough for the three of us to get around and staff was very helpful when needed. The hotel is in an ideal location to various attractions and surrounded by shopping, eating as well as public transportation. Therefore we did not nor did we require to rent a car; especially with the cost of parking being extremely expensive. We pret... Read more

This hotel is brilliant. Comfortable, the rooms are great, staff are friendly and helpful. Useful cafe/coffee shop in lobby. Central location, convenient for everywhere. The best thing is that when you're jet lagged and awake in the night you get you own Netflix on the TV. Very good wifi too.

Great Location. Lovely roof bar overlooking the city. Great facilities - busy but efficient and all the staff were helpful. Rooms are of a good size but the bathrooms are pretty small - especially if you have a third person (child/teen) in the room.

This is one of the nicest Marriott Hotels that I've had the pleasure of staying. I was able to wake up and watch the sunrise from my bed! Once I got up, I enjoyed the full breakfast available in the lounge. Shout out to Malte, Claudia and Nena!

The hotel is huge, has all the services you could care for, and an amazing fitness center (one of the best I have seen in a hotel). However the area south of Union Square and in Downtown in general is very dirty, full of homeless and beggars and all the restaurants nearby are always full or expensive given the high population density. If I were to come again to San Francisco I would try to stay in other areas of the city.

As part of a work conference, I stayed at this enormous convention hotel. Due to its proximity to Moscone Center, you may end up paying a wide variety of rates, depending on events happening there. Because it is such a large hotel, be prepared for crowds. Check-in was quick in my case, although some colleagues reported up to 10 minutes wait when they checked in. The personnel I dealt with were are friendly and service-oriented. My king room was on a high floor. The furnishings were well-mainta... Read more

Writing this while staying here one night on Dec 3 to attend a company holiday party. As a gold member, I have access to the exec lounge. Found their breakfast hours are 6:30am-9:30am, even on Sunday! Thought - ok no problem, I'll call and they will take care of it - either give access to downstairs buffet which goes till 11, or room service or something. That's how it's been handled in multiple Marriotts around the world. Nope. Not at the SF Marriott Marquis :( The front desk did offer a wak... Read more
