This hotel was made famous by the fact that it has an open atrium in the center. I believe that it was used in the Mel Brook's movie High Anxiety concerning fear of heights. It is beautiful in the whole but my experience was not great. Our convention was held their and the service for coffee and breakfast was terrible - they never brought enough food and let the beverages run out. My room was very bland and needed updating. For some strange reason they thought the another person was sharing the ... Read more

This hotel does not deserve more than 3 stars, if that. Very basic room, dirty, dust everywhere, stained couch, shabby. Towels are hard and cheap quality, water pressure pathetic, empty mini bar (what the...?): and this was supposed to be a Regency Club room, shudder to think what other floors are like. Staggered that there are actually positive reviews re this hotel, maybe US travellers have extr low standards and are used to paying for garbage. It was not a pleasure returning to this room at ... The Hyatt is my favorite hotel in San Francisco. It is close to a lot of restaurants and the cable cars and street cars. The staff is always great and helpful and it feels comfortable. If you can get a room with a view of the bay it really adds to the experience and getting a chance to step outside several floor up enhances the experience and provides a great view of the bay.

I stay at the hyatt regency 3-4 times a year for business. I give my hyatt rewards number EVERY time, and was told at this past stay that it was not used since October 2015 - so I missed an entire year of rewards points. I also left my phone charger in the room prior to check out, and then left. When I called the hotel to see if they had it, I was first hung up on by the house keeping staff. Then I was told that they did not have it. Only when I pushed back and demanded that they check the room ... Read more

I recently stayed at this hotel with my family. It is a convenient hotel to stay if you like waterfront and downtown. Walking distance to popular Pier 39 (I would say good 15-20 minutes walk on the waterfront). There are good restaurants at the waterfront, so very handy location. The hotel is tucked into high-rise buildings as there are high rise buildings around this hotel and if you are after a good view, then this is not the right place to stay. The staff were very friendly, helpful and coope... Read more

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Reception/Atrium very impressive. Our room was very clean and a reasonable size. We had a lovely view onto wharf. Drinks quite expensive like most hotels but stay for happy hour ??? Bus stop just outside and a pleasant walk towards Pier 39 etc. All in all a lovely stay. If in San Francisco again would not hesitate in staying here.

Never again. $40 per person breakfast buffet... $12.99 to watch the Disney channel $70 a night to park. Robbery. I was so disappointed too. Such a beautiful hotel and the location is great too. The charges were just way to overwhelming. It hurts their employees. We didn't tip as much as we usually do.

Room was small, but clean and comfortable. What made it worth the price was definitely the view of the Bay Bridge and the Port. Spectacular. Location felt safe and secure for walking and provided easy access to trolleys, taxi and transit.

Great hotel in great location. Nice clean elegant rooms. Wonderful to stay in. Clean, hot, nice bathrooms, but I'm a bit of bathroom snob so wanted more. Quiet and in fun location. They have a fun kids height breakfast buffet and since its the holidays had santa claus and snow for the Sunday breakfast.

Had a great time. We stayed at Hyatt during LGSummit16. The best hotel lobby I have ever seen. So beautiful. Love their complementary breakfast service. The place is simple awesome. And of course the tube lifts are mind blowing.
