I'm a girl staying at the hotel by myself due to a missed flight on transit and asked for late checkout to catch up on sleep. In the morning I was woken up not once but twice by housekeeping. Ok, maybe my fault for not putting on the Do Not Disturb sign. Then later on in the day, a guy knocked once and right away opened my door and just walked in! Good thing I was in bed at the time, I could've been changing! The whole incident shook me because when you're a girl travelling alone, the last thing... Read more

Great location and good onsite restaurants. Hotel is a bit dated and rooms are small. Liked the decorations. Bathroom had cracks in the tile. Did not like how hotel only provided 2 pillows on bed and had extensive mini bar, felt like I was being nickled and dimed. However staff, especially Shanekia at front desk was great, nice and helpful!

My first night I had to switch rooms because there was a large bug in my bed when I pulled back the blankets. A few days later I came back to another bug in my bed in my new room. I checked out of the hotel early at that point and they never asked why I was checking out early. After being creeped out by the bugs I wanted to make sure they knew why I was leaving and the response I received was "There are bugs like that in the city everywhere." Haven't seen one bug in my new hotel just a couple of... Read more

We booked this hotel for the location. It is centrally located to where we wanted to be. The reception staff were very friendly. We arrived early and were allowed to check in early. The room itself was nice- small, but the bed was very comfortable. It was extremely noisy- when looking at reviews after our stay some reviews recommended requesting a room in the back of the hotel - even with ear plugs it was loud. I would recommend that the hotel put full length mirrors in the rooms - the only... Read more

Comfortable, spacious room, central location, friendly and helpful staff. A funky, cool, non-standard hotel. We had a great time and would definitely stay here whenever we are in the San Francisco area.

I have fond memories of Hotel Triton as I used to stay there regularly years ago. I was surprised to learn that they recently left the Kimpton Hotel group, so no points for me. We stayed in the Jerry Garcia suite, which is a very large room and has artwork from Jerry. The good: great front guest staff, unbeatable location, fun décor, quiet halls, good bed. The ok: The property needs a little uplift--the cool wallpaper in the halls was peeling, etc. There is now a Lululemon across the way ... Read more

Hotel just next to China Town entrance, close to Union Square (walking distance). The hop on hop off buses stop right outside and tram very close. Very good location. My room was on the 3rd floor and was larger than expected. Very comfortable bed and bathroom adequate size. You are provided with T.V which has plenty of channels to keep you entertain if required. The road outside was noisy but hotel does provide ear plugs, but due to being knackered after sightseeing and time difference had no tr... Read more

The hotel staff was extremely helpful especially since this was my first time in San Fran. The room was decorated very quirky but that's what I liked about it - not your average stark hotel room. The room and other parts of the hotel were always clean too.

Staff is very welcoming and the rooms were extremely clean with very comfortable beds! It's also in the perfect location in downtown! Location is in the center of the financial district and near major retail stores, making travel and leisure very easy and enjoyable.

First, let me tell you the two things I didn't like about the Hotel Triton: my room (522) had a window heat/air unit in the only window; and it was on the alley side and the alley was extremely busy all night long (generally sounded like a garbage truck was emptying dumpsters all night long except there are no dumpsters). I complained to the desk one night and it stopped for awhile but it was back every night (I stayed for 7 nights). Now, for the things I did like: everything else. The locati... Read more
