Great view of Bay Bridge from our room made the anniversary weekend celebration special. Staff was attentive. Valet parking from quiet street made arrival and departure a snap compared to other City venues. Lobby parlor quite comfortable and accommodating. Free Wi-Fi always a treat.

Paid for city view. No one told us before we arrived that the city view now included scaffolding over the front of the building for painting no discount for that. Very small, rooms. Not cheap. Also had room under gym and from 6.30 til 9.30 pm had weights dropping on our ceiling. Staff moved us on request. No breakfast is an issue But happy hour was a plus. But no beer as advertised Staff very very friendly and obliging

After a long flight from Delaware we were greeted by a smiling happy staff. We were asked if we could wait a little while for our room to be ready so we went and got a bite to eat and came back. They upgraded our room which had a beautiful view of the Bay Bridge and there was also a bottle of champagne with nuts and chocolates and a hand written note telling us happy anniversary. What's great about Harbor Court Hotel: - when you score a room overlooking the SF Bay and the delightfully lit-up SF Bay Bridge - the free wine hour every evening in the lobby (particularly when a big local sporting event is playing on the TV--creates wonderful sense of community) - the staff, who takes very special care of its regulars (I stay here about once a month and they always leave a nice, personal note for me in my room to make me feel welcome) - the location - just across the street fr... Let me be honest, I booked here out of desperation during peak season when even a Holiday Inn cost over $400/night. Reviews eased my anxiety. File this under looks may be deceiving. The super confident check in guy knew something I didn't yet know, based on the unremarkable initial lobby. The room was cosy, and outfitted with things the frequent traveler needs: melt to sleep bed, iron/ironing board, free coffee beginning at 6am, and great water pressure among other amenities. The location is very convenient, however the neighborhood does not match the photo. It's an older hotel. We arrived at 2:07 and waited until 3:40pm before our room was ready. Why so long? We were never told. Our inquiries were passed from person to person. We were then given a water view. The elevator was on the blink. Would I return? Not at those rates.

Stayed here last year. Bill was settles upon leaving but unauthorised credit card charges were taken from my account on Friday 17th June. Hotel was ok and in decent location and air con little noisy. Found staff reasonably helpful while we stayed but follow up queries to mysterious charges have been ignored. Very disappointed with this level of service as they responded instantly to my email wishing to pay prior to my stay. I would advise paying cash at the desk only to avoid my issues

This place kind of sucks. Our room faced a dirty inside courtyard, and we could see our neighbors window. There was construction going on next door and a constant sound of hammering and drilling. The room was incredibly small, and the windows are so high you can't see out of them without standing on you tip toes- not that there is anything to see. There is no bar, no room service. My husband and I had a disappointing few days at the Harbor Court Hotel. Having paid extra for a bay view, we were dismayed to find the entire building covered in scaffolding. This hotel is in a great location only minutes walk to the wharf. However It is expensive for what you get. Really just a small basic room. I know these sound minor and picky but it's just manners. Whenever there was ... Read more

Love adaptive reuse! Live that Harbor Court is former YMCA. Great hotel, great location, great amenities. Loved both the public space in the lobby and our room too. Had a room towards the back. Didn't mind that we didn't have a view, location and amenities made up for it. Fireworks above right outside just in time for our arrival Sat night. Scaffolding around the base was good sign of continuing preservation underway! Definately recommend and would stay ahain. Booked through trip advisor, worked ... Read more

I have stayed in many hotels in SF, but this is now a favorite of mine. The staff is wonderful. Really friendly, helpful and professional. I was able to check in early and got an amazing room with Bay view! Absolutely stunning. The room itself was very clean, enough space for myself. Minibar had a huge variety and the mattress was very comfortable. Wonderful stay in a wonderful city!!!

Fantastic experience! I have done more travelling than most, but never alone. Jon, at the front desk, was incredibly courteous from the night before I arrived, when I called and asked some questions. Rebecca Montgomery, the supervisor, was the most lovely, pleasant, and caring person I have ever met. She took care of me like I was family, and always seemed so excited to see me again. I was truly sad to leave, and felt the staff was sad to see me go. If at all possible, I will stay at the Harbor ... Read more

With the recommendation of the check in we upgraded directly to a room with view on the sea. We can only recommend to do this in the same way like we did. Sometimes it was difficult to take the elevator to our room on the 7th floor, because the coded entry carts did not work correctly. The room with a view to the Baybridge was a little adventure and we enjoyed it every time to enter our room. Additionally to our stay the hotel offered free wine tasting every afternoon! Amazing service, location and experience. It started as soon as we parked our car and we were instantly greeted by Stephen the awesome bellman and valet attendant. Then Jon at the front desk was an absolute pleasure to meet minutes later. Then the jaw dropping view from our room!! The location was perfect and we walked everywhere. Oh and then Ralph the valet attendant when we left was also great. Consistent next level service all around.

Wow. The best experience I've ever had at a hotel. Just visiting the city to see an old friend and was welcomed by a very friendly staff member out front, who took care of us like we were old friends. Check in was smooth and easy, then our room was very welcoming with an epic view of the Bay Bridge. There was a yummy bottle of chilled white wine waiting for us when we got to our room, with a friendly note from the staff. Oh and the bellman that showed us to our room helped us bring in our thin... Read more

We arrived on a Friday past midnight and the lady at the front desk had no clue what she was doing. In addition, she was rude to us. On Tuesday morning, we checked out at 5AM. We were unlucky enough to get same incompetent person to handle our check-out. We had to knock on her office door to wake her up. She double charged us for the room. We explained to her that we had a voucher, and she nodded, but when we received the printed copy of our bill, we noticed that she had charged on our credit ca... Read more

Recently visited San Francisco for the first time. I had a lovely experience at the Harbor Court. Our visit began with a warm and friendly greeting from Jonathan at the front desk. Every employee we had contact with during our stay was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and very quite. We enjoyed the fireplace in the lobby, along with morning coffee and the evening wine bar. The location was beautiful, with the Bay Bridge and the Ferry Building just across the stree. Probably the best hotel in San Francisco without spending a small fortune. The bayview rooms are definitely worth the extra cost, providing wonderful views of the bay and the Embarcadero. Easy walk to the Ferry Building and its outstanding Farmers' Market. Also easy walks (but longer) to the Giants' Stadium and Fisherman's Wharf. And, there is complimentary coffee and tea in the morning and wine in the evening!

I stayed here several years ago and never thought I'd return. At that time, it felt somewhat seedy - but wow have the last few years changed this property. I understand it's under new ownership and that seems to have made a difference. Both the lobby and the rooms are much upgraded in furnishing and features. High end finishes and great service make this feel like a luxury hotel. I've been converted back into a fan! The one downside is no room service.

I stayed at Harbor Court from Sept. 23-28. I opted for early check-in, which was great, as I was scheduled to arrive San Francisco at 10:00 AM. My room was ready, and since I had opted for a bay view room, I was surprised to find that it was a full water view, including Yerba Buena Island, and the Bay Bridge. I had expected a lean-out-the window glimpse. From now on, Harbor Court is my preference in San Francisco.

Great location near to all of the best places to visit. Loads of great restaurants near by and easyish to get to the airport. Free bike hire was a bonus as they were quite expensive to hire elsewhere. Also, the complimentary tea and coffee in the morning and wine in the evening was a really nice touch. Only issue was that our room was a little small.

I travel a lot for business and pleasure but I can honestly say this place is simply amazing. It has a complimentary wine hour nightly and the staff is incredibly helpful. All that said, you add on the location and the easy of getting around the city. This is a unbelievable deal.

Stayed for 3 nights beg Sept. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, Room comfortable but small. Only fault was the air conditioning was noisey. We loved the complimentary bikes that you can take out. We took them out 2 mornings and cycled all over the city including the Golden Gate Bridge. The bikes was a great way to see the city and could lock them up allowing you to stop for a coffee etc. along the way. The complimentary glass of wine was lovely. The hotel does free wine tasting of certain evenings which is a nice touch. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. We took out the free hotel bicycles and rode to the golden gate bridge and back which was a great way to see the sights. As we were travelling with around 4 pcs of baggage, it was was very difficult to accommodate the same in the room. Again cabinet storage was insufficient. Loved the transparent water dispen... We just stayed at the Harbor Court Hotel on our last visit to San Francisco. It was great! The people at the front desk (Jevon in particular) where friendly and knowledgeable to the area. The Hotel itself is right on the bay. The Northeast side of the building gives spectacular views of the bay bridge. We took some beautiful pictures at sunrise from our bedroom window. I will definitely stay at Harbor Court next time.

It was my first time visiting San Francisco, and I hope not the last. If I were to return, I would definitively stay at the Harbor Court again. Service was splendid, front desk crew was extremely helpful and kindly attended to all our group, with a smile and efficiency. This was my first time in San Francisco, and I couldn't have been more lucky. The Harbor Court Hotel was chosen for me and it was such a pleasant surprise. The hotel is nice, my room was on the 6th floor and had a view to the Bay Bridge. This made my stay such a wonderful experience. And also, the staff is so nice and helpful. We go to SF often and have stayed in every level of hotel. Our favorites are the Grand Hyatt on Market and Harbor Court Hotel. We find ourselves staying more and more at the Harbor Court simply because it is so charming and we are treated like guests, not just a nameless person occupying a room. Rebecca arranged for their towncar to pick us up and return us to the airport. We were greeted every time we left or returned to the hotel from sightseeing. The Harbor Court is the reason we depend on TA reviews. It is a bit off the beaten path (not near Union Square) but it's actually in a great location to access the waterfront. We only stayed one night as we were booked in Union Square for a wedding for the remainder of our trip. The pricing reflects that the rooms are "city-size" although we found our space quite comfortable and accommodating. And the staff is absolutely first rate - you know they appreciate you business and will make sure t... Read more

Stayed in SF many, many times but had not before now considered this area (around the Embarcadero). Very glad I did! Not only is the hotel quite lovely, with an inviting lobby (which I don't often say) but the room was comfortable, the wifi good, and the location superior. The address is on Steuart St, but the lobby opens onto the Embarcadero--you only have to cross the street to be on the waterfront promenade. The location of the hotel is excellent, between the financial district and the Embarcadero area. Service at the hotel was really helpful and friendly. Having said that, the rooms themselves were small and dated, with lesser quality fixtures and amenties for the price paid (about USD 420 per night, including taxes). The public areas too were dark and dated. Some investment in refurbishment is needed, in order to justify the nightly rate.

Really unmatched in Location! Great Hotel and ideal place to wake up and run right next to the ocean bay:) Rooms are fine for the amount you pay, and the Staff really aim to please. There is a Sushi restaurant attached right to the hotel. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Slight glitches with the TV Volume and slightly smaller room than had expected, but not traveling much through SF means this is likely the norm with most Hotels in the area. Had a Pleasant carefree stay here!

Basically, I was staying overnight in San Francisco, catching an Amtrak bus from the Temporary Transbay Bus Terminal to the Amtrak Station in Emeryville, where I would board the California Zephyr.
