Hi this is a nice hotel very close to Union Square. Being near Union square is nice as it is close to a lot of restaurants. The rooms are large. Bath is clean and good. It has free wifi but it is very slow and at times doesn't work. They had wine tasting sessions between 5-6 pm, which was nice. There is a coffee maker in the room. Ice cold Water available at the lobby 24 hours. It's a bit pricey but recommended for its location.

The hotel is situated in an excellent area so everything is within walking distance. The rooms were nice with comfy beds, good facilities and friendly staff. Breakfast could of been better as there were not a lot of options. I would go back to this hotel for my next visit to San Francisco.

The location of this hotel was fantastic! A few blocks from Union Sq, China Town and the Financial District and a short cab ride from most other areas! However that is were the praise unfortunately ends for this hotel. The hotel wasn't clean, the rooms had a terrible musky smell and the surfaces were covered in dust. The bathroom in my room was 1.2m x 0.5m (length x width) - NO JOKE! It was tiny the shower was the smallest shower I've ever seen and you were pretty much sat on the toilet as soon ... Read more

After a few initial check in issues (booked twin but was told only double available), advised clerk that he would have to find us a room elsewhere then & miraculously the room we booked appeared. Room was spacious to front of hotel though not too noisy. Large bathroom, newly refurbished with over-bath shower - very clean! Evening Wine hour nice touch as we were a big group, nice to congregate in cosy lobby before venturing out. Few nice eateries very close though Union Sq on,y 5 min walk. No bre... Read more

Upon arrival we were allocated a small, dark box room which view out of the window was of another room facing us which was approximately 10ft away. We asked to be moved and the request was facilitated with no hassle. The room we were given, was slightly bigger and lighter with a view of the street. It smelt a little musty but I was happier with it. It has a fridge which is stocked with beers, soft drinks and snacks which you could buy (for a premium). The bathroom is small - but refreshed da... First impression when entering hotel is good. The lobby area is decorated In a modern style with working fire, added bonus is the free wine tasting each evening. The staff very pleasant, courteous and nothing is too much trouble for them. Our room was a big room at the front of the hotel. It was very clean but in need of updating (especially the carpet). Breakfast is continental only, and in my opinion, not worth $13. The hotel is a 5 mins walk to union square and shops. The cable car stop is on... Read more

The Good: Situated near the corner of Powell and Bush, this quaint hotel is a short walk to Chinatown and Union Square. My room, while small, had a comfy king bed, efficient bathroom and flat screen TV. The lone window looked out on the back of the property, which was other buildings. There is a restaurant that I did not try (Roxanne's Cafe, on Powell, is good) and there is a hosted wine reception every night. The Not So Good: The tiny air conditioner barely blew out enough cool air to keep me ... Read more

I stayed here with my husband and 4 year old daughter during a trip for business and vacation. The building is probably old but the hotel is well maintained and updated. We had 2 choices for rooms; deluxe king or 2 full sized beds. I thought that it would be easier for the 3 of us to all sleep in a King bed than to try to have 2 adults sleep in a full sized bed so that is what we did. The room is small but definitely adequate. This was a fabulous little find. The hotel is clean and quite comfortable. It was quiet at night and the location made it easy to walk to many different places in San Francisco. I felt comfortable getting up in the morning and running (as best I could with the hills) on my own.

My Wife and I stayed at the Executive hotel for 5 days and loved it, small rooms but very well kept. This 102 year old beautiful building located in the Nob Hill area just up hill from Union square and right on Powell and Hyde cable car line. The beds are very comfortable and rooms are very clean. The staff were extremely helpful with directions and information very courteous individuals. Bill, Vincent and Donovan made our trip very successful!

Lived up to the reviews online. The staff are friendly & helpful, especially when we spontaneously decided to go on a winery tour at the last minute. The lobby is welcoming, nice to have the complimentary wine tasting on offer in the evening. Whiskey the rooms aren't large, they are adequate for space & have a cosy feel. Great water pressure for the shower.

The hotel is central to the city..just a short stroll to shopping, cable car and restaurants. The hotel room was comfortable and clean and each evening a complimentary sine was hosted for guests between 5 and 6pm. The staff were helpful and obliging and made our stay pleasant. Air conditioner was a bit noisy and needed service.

The best part with this hotel is the location! And that is what you pay for. And perhaps the complimentary wine at 5-6PM... Comfortable bed. The room was clean to most part, not sure about the carpet though. The view was really sad. Basically staring into a wall. And this is not very nice, this should be mentioned when you book.

This small hotel is a bit old but it is well-maintained. It is convenient as the Union Square is only a few minutes walk away. The room size was OK and the staff are friendly and helpful. One surprise is the hotel offer complimentary house wine every evening to all in-house guests at lobby and that is a great time for everyone to sit back, relax and have nice chat with each others. LOVE this arrangement.

Room was great and so were staff, but for the price you pay you wouldn't expect to be woken up every 20minutes by the freight train sound that is the air conditioner... Also parking is $35 plus 14% tax so definitely not for those traveling by car

The hotel is nice and in a good location, being just a couple of blocks from both China Town and Union Square. The down side is that the rooms are very small if you are there with more than two people and is pricey for what you get. No complimentary coffee in room or lobby. Be prepared for a view of a back or side alley.

Good points - staff were great very helpful and friendly, free wine between 5-6 pm, great location and comfortable beds with good TV for when you're chilling in your room! Bad points - pricey for what you get, hotel is very dated and strange old smells throughout, we thought our room smelt like an old peoples home!! Bad views from the room too!

We chose this hotel as it was close to union square. The room was pretty small and the wash basin was in the room and not in the bathroom which was a first for us! That made it very inconvenient. They were offering complimentary wine in the lobby but when we went there, we found insects flying all over the place. We beat a hasty retreat and went out to drink wine at a better place than avail of the free offer! Overall, it was poor value for money.

We stayed here for 3 nights in Sept and were pleased with the hotel. Yes, it's older, but it has wonderful charm. The location was perfect and walking distance to so many different tourist locations. The wine tasting each night was so much fun and a great way to transition from day to evening. The cons were: the room is small and had a musty odor, but nothing that lingered for too long. Two of us just spent three nights at the Executive Hotel Vintage Court and had a great stay. The room and bath are small, as is to be expected in a SF hotel in an old building, but they were comfortable and spotless. Requests for things such as extra towels were promptly filled. We've been staying at Vintage Court for years. It has been redone and is very comfortable and nice. The rooms are not large, but they are not too small either. Public Parking is a block away, and is discounted for the hotel. They serve wine in the lobby every afternoon, which is nice and cozy and has a fireplace. The suite on the 8th floor is great - full kitchen, nice size living room and two bathrooms. We had a group visit and reserved about 15 rooms and they gave us a really good rate.
