Room smelled damp/moldy, they don't have the breakfast they advertise because the restaurant is closed...someone mentioned a voucher but I didn't get one for any of my 3-night stay. Basically it's very outdated! Wouldn't recommend at all. Definitely not at the prices they charge.

So, you pay for breakfast included. Then you get there to learn restaurant closed but you get a voucher. The voucher gives you a 15% discount at a restaurant across the street! Fraud as far as I am concerned. Small rooms. Noisy. No HD TV. Way overpriced. Absolutely not recommended. Will not repeat ever

Hotel is right near the Cable Car line to Fishermans Wharf and the waterfront areas like Ghiradelli Square, Pier 39 and boat tours. Union Square is 2 blocks away and Chinatown is within walking distance. Since we were here in January, the fireplace in the contemporary lobby was constantly going. Very nice lobby for relaxation. Room was quite large with bay window and view, yet somewhat in use of some work. This hotel received a Diamond rating in 2014. Our whole family enjoyed the hotel and we wo... Read more

Great place to stay. Staff was very helpful. Very clean and close to lots of things to do. This was our first time in San Francisco and we liked that it was in walking distance to a lot of great places to see.

This hotel was recommended to me by my mother and her friend who both stayed here. It is a great hotel 2 streets up from Union Square. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms clean and nice.

Short 1-1/2 blocks to Chinatown main gate. Cable car goes right by corner to Fishermen Wharf but take Uber for 1/3 the price unless you haven't done the cable car yet. Good Italian food on corner at really reasonable prices and great food. Uncle Vito's

We've been staying at Vintage Court for years. It has been redone and is very comfortable and nice. The rooms are not large, but they are not too small either. Public Parking is a block away, and is discounted for the hotel. They serve wine in the lobby every afternoon, which is nice and cozy and has a fireplace. The suite on the 8th floor is great - full kitchen, nice size living room and two bathrooms. We had a group visit and reserved about 15 rooms and they gave us a really good rate.

I was nervous after reading the reviews, but IMHO, those people are too picky. From the reservationists, to housekeeping, to the man with the complimentary wine, they were all extremely nice and helpful. It's price and location is what sold me. I can't comment on parking or the food, because I didn't use either. But I can say that my room was cleaned when I got there, and was kept clean everyday. The Wi-Fi worked great, and there were plenty of channel options on TV. Is it an older hotel? Yes. B... Read more

Cons - The first room we were taken to smelled like old sewage infiltrated into the carpets. The second room had a less than wonderful smell which made us realize its the carpets. The 2 lamps at the bedside do not work so in this very small cramped room we dodge furniture to get to bed in the dark. Pros - This hotel is in a prime location near Union Square. The linens and lobby are clean. Lobby has a happy hour with wine offered 5-6pm each evening. A window in the room opened so we could keep... Read more

I am currently staying at this hotel. Completely unacceptable! I was moved from a room to a different room because of the horrible smell in the first room. This new room also smells really bad and it really isn't what was advertised when I booked it via hotels.com. Save money and go elsewhere. There are many options in this neighborhood so do yourself a favor and find a different place.
