During living here, countpart and security are warm and good. If you need receipt for your expense report. You need to tell them when you check-in. If you tell them during check. You will get into trouble. They might say email to you. But, you need take a long time to push them to send it.

Great location, terrible neighbourhood. A lot of homless people outside on the streets. But I guess that's the case for many neighbourhoods in San Fransisco. Hotel interior is since it was built. Probably 50 years ago. Rooms are clean and the staff is nice.

We stayed in a double bed room and room was very small even bathroom too. for one night its ok to stay. But there are lot of noises from outside during the midnight like screaming, etc which is very scary those who dont get sleep soon. Eventhough hotel is very old, they maintained it very clean and safety wise also they have everything on place. 24/7 Coffee/tea and water thats a good thing since most of the hotels does not provide. Doughnut also available but we could not taste due to time constra... Read more

Most rooms don't have showers you have to use a communal one in a hallway. Location is good, but the neighbourhood is awful. Opposite the hotel is a bus shelter where homeless gather, they are often mentally ill or on drugs. When I first arrived they were throwing bottles across the road. The rooms themselves are very dated, there's no air con and I found that the radiator in my room came on early I the morning , despite it being summer. 'Breakfast' is a box of staleish donuts laid out on a s... Read more

Nothing; it's not worth your money (even though it is "cheap" compared to other hotels. Horrible location, tiny rooms, rooms seem way better on the photos than they actually, dusty hostel/rooms, slow internet (<1Mbps down/up). I had to change rooms due to my first room had an awful smell when I came in.

Needed a place to stay that wasn't outrageous and close to the Giants stadium. Older but had character. Staff was friendly, beds were clean, and it gave us a place to rest our head for the night. Lots of homeless around downtown but they didn't bother us or beg.

Just arrived at hotel. Was met by two people asleep in front of the entrance to the hotel. A smell greeted us as we walked in. The carpet was dirty and notice as we we walked by the lift that the floor was cover in bits of rubbish. My friend went to check out her room as I waited in the check in area for our husbands to come back from parking the car. Also there was another lady asking for a refunded as she did not wish to stay. On returning from the room my friend said she would not be staying ... Read more

Very old fashioned hotel (looks like something from psycho haha) but lovely for a budget stay. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The area is a little scary as lots of people hanging around outside however we had no problems with them, just kept ourselves to ourselves. Excellent location for getting around the city. Easy walk down the street to union square. Bus opposite to Golden Gate Bridge. Tram outside down to fisherman's wharf and also going up to Castro. Get down early for breakfas... Read more

The area is awful. Drunks and homeless right outside the door. Stench of urine and weed is overwhelming. But the location is brilliant for the city. Price is low for the city BUT you get what you pay for. Book it if you are aware. Some reviews said they felt unsafe. We were 2 female travellers and felt safe both in hotel and on nearby streets in the daytime. Night time - use taxis. Hotel is run more like a hostel and first impression when you arrive is bad. Lobby is often full of gue... Read more

The picture is very misleading on the true size of the rooms. Street noise is very loud and the area itself shady. Even though we were gone most of the day doing tourist stuff, walking till our feet hurt, never enjoyed coming back to the room to rest.

Ever heard of a hotel where they charge you $30 if you have a visitor? Yep! Breakfast offered is a box of donuts they put on a table in the hallway/lobby. There is no water pressure so one has to take a cold (!) shower in a trickle of water. The bathroom is so old and nothing has ever been maintained. That is the condition of the whole place actually. The funny thing is though that they have little printed notices taped up everywhere with instructions for the guests! Like about 15 notes on the ... Read more

The streets around are not safe, crackheads everywhere. Stinky and dirty room . Smells like hell and stage people wondering around . Don't go there as simple as that . We regretted we already payed and we couldn't change our reservation . Made our stay in San Francisco miserable !

Absolutely disgusting stinking hotel where you need your shoes on to walk on the carpet ! Unfortunately didn't research this only used Booking.com's description as a guide. Arrived obviously having pre booked and giving credit card details to secure, checked in to be given a key dating to the 1940s that should have rang a bell along with the dated decor , worn carpets & state of the general appearance of staff in poky hole window of office where the most modern piece of equipment was a ball pen... Upon checking in for a 4 night stay the lady on reception was fantastic which gave me some solace as the 'hotel' (term used loosely) was extremely dated. Reception had 3 vending machines.... All broken... Lift was covered floor to ceiling in floral carpet. Room was even worse... We paid extra for a bathroom which was a cupboard with a shower so small you literally stepped out of the shower and into the toilet. I'm about 5ft 8 and the shower was so low even I hit my head and it didn't adjust, the... Read more

Basically do not stay at this hotel. Having worked in America all at a summer camp and going travelling after we just booked this hotel without looking at the reviews which is what I normally do for every hotel but just was in a hurry to book! On arrival the woman at reception was quite friendly but the hotel is extremely dated I was hoping the room would be better but sadly not. We paid 400 dollars for 4 nights which is absolutely ridiculous for the quality. The room itself was old, had a sin... Read more

Not the area in San Fran you want to be in, at least not stay in. Ok youre not sleeping outside, might as well. Hotel does not take responsibility for things lost in your room and you have to leave the key in the front desk. Come on!! So dont leave your luggage unlocked if you are going outside...

My friend and I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in mid September : 2 consecutive nights and 1 more night after a 7-day tour to YellowStone. We were very disappointed on arrival as the hotel was located in an area of poor neighborhood: homeless people and black youngsters yelling on the opposite side of the street. We wanted to change hotel but couldn‚??t as rooms were booked online under non-refundable terms. On the 2nd night, my friend went out to dine with friends. As I had to go out alo... Read more

This place advertises as Aida Plaza hotel to attract people when in fact its name is just Aida Hotel. It boasts of air conditioned room and only has a heater that turns on only at nights for 5 hours starting midnight and is only for 15 minutes every hour.

I was pleased the room was clean, towels and linens clean. A funky old hotel and affordable. I would stay again. There shower and bathroom was down the hall but there was a sink in the room. I found it to be tolerable.

Stayed at this hotel for one night towards the end of September. Hotel management wanted to edit our review. In fact, this hotel should have been closed down by health inspectors years ago. It is not even value for money as you can find better accommodation to stay in San Francisco at a cheaper price. This hotel is also a health hazard. We stayed on the 6th floor and it was a disgusting. It stunk; it was itchy - possible mould spores, lice, etc. The one window - which needed to be open - did not... Read more

Was in this hotel during the business trip this autumn. I had not the best impression from the hotel. It looks like this building had better times 50 years ago. Now it looks like piece of old American West. Funny part was breakfast, which consisted of donuts and big can of coffee for all hotel visitors. Elevator is not fastest on the planet as well :) But the best thing about this hotel is it's price. Recommended for budget traveller.
