I stayed at the Park Central hotel for a 9/day business trip and a 4/day leisure weekend - for total of 13 days. Hotel location is great, convenient to downtown area attractions and very close to Moscone Convention Center. Gregory at check-in was super helpful, nice and accommodating giving me a nice room, knowing I was staying for almost 2 weeks! They hotel also let me stay in the same room, even though I had 2 separate reservations which was very helpful! The elevators only work if you use... Read more

When I stayed there for 2 nights on my business trip I didn't have to use hotel services much as I was in and out for my engagements. However that all changed when my long-haul flight home was postponed and than cancelled 3h later with little comms from the airlines. 2h later waiting in a queue I was desperate for a bed and some basic customer service. At 4am I called concierge and spoke to Anthony Murcia. Super friendly and accommodating. 30 min later I was check-ed in, looked after and given ... Read more

Overall, the hotel is good. Great location, in the heart of downtown, just a short walk from major shops and a ton of restaurants. They have valet parking and a nearby self-parking garage. The rooms were good, but not amazing. Nothing wrong with them, but I've stayed in better--marble in the bathrooms, larger rooms, that sort of thing. (You can get a pretty good idea of what the rooms are like from the pictures.) At this price in this part of town, though, you probably won't do better. (The rest... Read more

Nice modern hotel in the heart of the city. Only a short walk to attractions like Union Square and Yerba Beuna park. The rooms are quite small, but nice and we'll maintained. The sink and vanity are separate from the bathroom which adds to convenience when traveling with someone. Unfortunately there is no fridge in the room. The $25 USD fee they charge is a bit rich for wifi and two bottles of water - they should certainly get rid of this nuisance charge. Anyone with a car should park at Cit... Read more

With this hotel you are paying for location. I stayed here for three nights in May for a conference. I arrived to the hotel really early, and the front desk were able to check me in. My room was spacious with a comfortable bed, my view sucked, but I couldn't complain because of early arrival. The bathroom had hair on the floor, perhaps an oversight from housekeeping. The only complaint I had was the hotel lobby was filled with knats and flys. I hope management can get this under control.

"Starwoods Preferred Guest Member" My first impression when i came in to the hotel was absolutely welcoming and charming, the staff seems to be pretty helpful however we couldn't get a room immediately because apparently there was a card reader problem, but i got a feeling that was not the reason, seem like we came earlier for the check in time and they don't want to tell us at least i felt that way, the money was never an issue for me and I'm always willing to pay for service and have pleasant ... We have been pleased so far with our stay in the Park Central. We were greeted on arrival by friendly staff, most notably Sara who did everything she could to get us to best room and make our stay as comfortable as possible. Rooms are spacious and clean with a great view of the city although could perhaps do with a small amount of modernisation. The hotel is located very centrally and it was really easy to get straight into the centre from here to explore. All in all very satisfied with our choi... Read more

I'm an SPG Platinum who stays at Starwood resorts 50+ nights on the road. The only good thing I can say about this property is that you can get a nice view of the city, and even the water if they put you up high enough + a good breakfast buffet that can be had by a platinum guest for a minimal upgrade fee. After that, I just wanted to come home -- but sadly had business to conduct nearby and everything else was booked up due to a large conference nearby. The room cost me $400 + parking + taxe... First off, there's not much wrong with room quality such as bed and cleanliness. But as a five star hotel and a business one, in a Cosmo city like SF, it is incredible that there is NO mini bar. No fridge. And no complimentary water too. So they expect you to buy your own, or drink tap water. And arriving late, at 1045 pm in the nice lobby lounge, they said "sorry we stopped serving food". So I asked how about room service menu but I eat in the lobby. "No, no room service after 1030". What?? So ... Read more

The hotel has a good location close to many bars and restaurants and is also close to the AT&T park where we went on 4th July to watch the Giants. The staff are really professional and friendly. Jennifer on reception is an absolute star who made us feel really welcome and checked us in and gave us a great room at 9.30am even though checking didn't open until 3pm. Perfect customer service. The location right off Market Street is good for getting around. The hotel is OK, the rooms seem partially updated, other than the strange shower head situation. It's a hand held spray that also sits on the bar but it can't be raised high enough for a normal sized person....a little awkward. $18.95 for wifi, ridiculous but it's SF. Service was fine and the elevators were pretty quick even for a high level -- floor 24. Did not eat at hotel. Gift shop too.

Not a bad place to stay if you're in San Fran - particularly for business. The hotel itself is a tad dated and reminds me of one of the older Sheratons. My room was quiet, my bed was soft, and my room was spacious. The hotel is close enough to tourist attractions and far away enough to be out of the hustle. It seems a bit pricey for what you get - but it's San Fran I guess. Parking costs are quite expensive - I highly reccomend the nearby garage that will be half of the PC's price.

Booked here as I am an SPG member. Was upgraded on arrival and very impressed with the room.Service is efficient as opposed to friendly but in fairness this is a huge hotel and so you can appreciate it lacks a little soul. You could not pick a more perfect location so anyone who doesn't know the city and intends to sightsee it is ideal.Food was good if a little pricey (but SFO is extremely expensive). If you go out the front, turn right and take your first left you will find "The Grove" which is exc... Actually, lots of employees walking around trying to look busy, sweeping, wiping, talking, but not helping visitors. One of my two rooms was ready which was great, but never got the call I was told I would get when the other was ready. After I checked in, bellman rushed over to take the bags I brought in up to the room. He dumped all the bag... Read more

It is very unusual to find a hotel in a major city central business district that does not offer room service, but sadly that is the case for the Park Central. I liked the location and the room was generally fine, but with early morning business calls, it was very disappointing to not be able to get breakfast delivered. There is a small table in the lobby that has a handful of muffins and the like and a coffee urn where you can buy something simple, but that was very limited and not convenient. ... Read more

This is quite possibly the blandest hotel in America. I am amazed it is rated a 4 star hotel. No room service, no refrigerators, poor service, long line to check-in, loud pushy housekeepers, very thin walls. Upon arrival, there was a long line for check in and only one employee working and a lot of employees standing around. I requested a refrigerator but the front desk said they were out. I called again the next morning and they said they would send one right up. Never came. Called again ... Read more

We prepaid the hotel and stayed here in 2 rooms for 5 nights....on top there was an additional charge of $30 plus that was added nightly for each night we stayed. In the end I argued with the manager who was kind enough to "cut down" the nightly fee to only 4 nights total instead of 10 which is really ridiculous. If the hotel bluntly wants to make extra money off guests it should include it all in its nightly rate instead of confusing customers like me with phowny extra charges that really... Read more

We had a great experience at the Park Central! We were in town for the San Francisco marathon last weekend, which starts just down Market Street at the Ferry Building, and the hotel was very accommodating with city bikes (at 4:30am!), water, coffee, etc. In fact, this is what the $30/ day fee that some complain about is for, including WIFI and some local discounts. The check-in process was a bit rough (staff not very professional or helpful initially - definitely a training opportunity) although I did end up with a great corner room on a high floor so had great views. Floor to ceiling windows are great! After the check-in mess the remainder of the stay was very good. I didn't use any of their local services, but found housekeeping and restaurant staff friendly and helpful. I thought the in-... Read more

I attended the Adverse Childhood Experiences Conference. It was great for business, but the price point can be challenging for public servants with per night limits. The building was beautiful, the event space was perfect, and the conference food was fantastic. The only drawback was that there wasn't room service, meaning that if you get in and want to get food, you have to order from an external vendor and then meet them in the lobby. This wasn't the most convenient for a relaxing night after a... Read more

Last week, I attended the Cisco Partner Summit in San Francisco, CA. San Fran is always one of my favorite places to visit for both personal and business travel. I opted to stay somewhere that I've never been before...the Park Central Hotel. Pros: upscale feel, conveniently located 1 block from the Moscone Center and Market Street, fairly prices for a San Fran hotel, super nice staff (especially the bell service and concierge). Cons: $18 per day wi-fi, no room service. All in all, I would... Read more

Decent hotel, in a very good location, easy walk to convention center which is very, very close. Hotel is average, nothing spectacular, but decent for a business stay in a very expensive city. No room service, WIFI is $18 per day. Request a room away from the elevator, as otherwise you will hear it all night.

The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. I reserved a room, but it was not what I expected for the amount of money spent. I spoke with Giacob and Justin and they both immediately addressed my concern. They let me know that it was a small room mishap and that they would fix it right away, and they did! Aside from that, they had great people skills! We laughed and joked which made me feel comfortable bringing my concern to their attention. They are the epitome of customer care and service. ... Everything was excellent my kids loved their first stay in this hotel as well as our first time in san fran. The view was excellent, wifi worked great, valet parking included with our room package. Everything was clean and neat. The beds were really comfy. Cable had kids channels for them to enjoy tv. All the great places to visit are right around the corner no more than 20 minutes. Great hotel will definitely recommend to friends and family!

A little late but worth the wait. I almost left. Had a bottle of Chateau Montelena. I had stumbled across it earlier in the day by accident. I asked the liquor store clerk, "is this the one from Bottle Shock?" A shrug. I bought it and I was right. It was every bit as good as the movie made it out to be. The hotel was very nice too. I was intercepted by a con man on the way home.

Great location to explore the city. Rooms are standard, comfortable, what you can expect from a Westin. Service is o.k. valet parking 65.- recommend to self park right across the street for almost half that price. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Located close to tram station, chinatown, Coit Towers and shopping district. + Check in was quick and efficient. Had a city facing room. + Rooms were clean and tidy. Bathrooms were clean. Bed was soft comfortable. + Concierge was helpful in explaining tours/options to see around. Not a complaint, just an observation...rooms could have been designed better. The closet door which had full length mirror did not have lights up on top and was in a dark spot. No towel hangars by the bathroom mirro... Read more

This was a nice, centrally located hotel, that provided easy access to the various neighborhoods in San Francisco. The hotel itself seems a bit overpriced in terms of the amenities provided. They also charge you so extra fees for staying there which also contributes to the already high price.

I'm not objective. I love SPG. But it's because I've never been disappointed. I spent a night here, on my dime, after two nights at the Union Square Hilton on my boss' dime. I was concerned that this was maybe too far from Union Square (it's not) but when I got there, I learned that it's a perfect location...you cross Market, go left on Geary 2 blocks. 2 nice blocks. That's it. It's across the street from The Palace Hotel (with a Ghiradelli in the lobby), another SPG via The Luxury Collection, s... Read more

We stayed in this place for a few days and loved it. The room was large and comfortable, with a huge window covering the whole wall and plunging above the city and the sea. The view was extraordinary. The decoration of the room was nice and warm, with lots of light. The bed was large and excellent, the bathroom perfectly large and very functional. Lots of mirrors which are usually missing in hotels. The staff was particularly helpful and gentle. The location is super. I absolutely recommend thi... Read more

I'm in SF frequently on business and stayed at this Starwood property for the fist time this week. I was immediately impressed with how personable Sara was upon my check-in. She was very accommodating, courteous, and professional, which continued with every other encounter I had with the hotel personnel. I will definitely being staying here again!

It has great location, the rooms are big, the hotel was very clean and the bathroom too. all the staff was very friendly and nice peaple , in particular Ana on the front desk. She was very kind with us. If we come back to the city this hotel is our first option. and the price is ok too. we took with time and it was an amazing price.

This has been and will continue to be my "go to" hotel in San Francisco. We had a small family (7 people) business meeting and used the hotel as a place to meet and stay, for those of us coming from different parts of the country. It was also a place where we used a second floor room for our meeting. There were meeting rooms on the third floor too. Great venue for a small to medium size meeting or conference. The location can't be beat. It's off Market at 3rd so you can use BART to get there ... Read more
