I stayed for one night at King George Hotel while doing a weekend jaunt to the city and it was a rewarding experience. The staff were friendly and quick to get us checked in and settled. They were gracious to offer to store our luggage before check in to give us the freedom to roam the city bags free. Also, the check out is at 12pm so you can leisurely get up from your fun night out. It is an old building with a lot of charm including the much smaller lift and spiral staircase, but the old charm... Read more

We had a room with a queen bed. It was clean, cute and small. There was no A/C, but there was a ceiling fan and the window actually opened! The location was conveniently located since we wanted to go to areas like Castro and Pier 33. I would stay again if I wanted to be in that area.

A last minute overnight trip to SF. Booked the King George for it's proximity to the Warfield Theater. The hotel is clearly older. The rooms and bathrooms are on the smaller side, but we found the property quaint. You can't beat the location. Close to Union Square, A.C.T. and a lot of restaurant options. Many of the older hotels in SF are in really seedy areas, but the King George is not. The weather was warm for SF, so with the windows open a little, it was a bit noisy during the day. ... Read more

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. They have knowledge of the city and won''t hesitate to offer suggestions for places to check out! Excellent location, close to union square and night life. 12pm checkout! (even an extra late 1pm checkout can be requested at no penalty) We had an upgraded room for a special occasion and were welcomed by champagne and a cheese plate. I highly suggest this hotel while visiting SF!

With business in San Francisco coinciding with National Bring Your Daughter to Work Day I decided to bring my adult daughter with me for a visit to San Francisco. With so many options in the City we settled on the King George Hotel because of close proximity to Union Square shopping and the Theatre District. What a great choice! The newly renovated hotel offered a very clean and very comfortable room with all the amenities. It's old world charm really came through and the staff was as friendly a... Read more
