"Stayed a night at Hotel Kabuki this past Saturday evening. Positives: 1) The staff was friendly. 2) the overall ambiance was calming and welcoming 3) room was spacious enough for two adults and two teens. 4)parking easily accessible in underground lot. 5) Short walk to Filmore to catch the Muni to the Mission. Negatives: 1) Didn't receive spa passes. Said it was only for guests who book directly thru the hotel site. Wasn't going to pay an additional $22 per person to take a quick soak in the morning. 2) Double beds are much smaller than I remember. Also, a little soft which lead to a restless nights sleep 3) No privacy while showering due to glass door that opens to vanity in room. Very awkward when traveling with teenagers, my daughter and her friend. Had to leave the room to give them privacy to bathe.
All in all, was worth $128 bucks a night (taxes included)."

"Great hotel. I really love the traditional Japanese bathroom. So great to scrub off first before taking a relaxing soak. Also, nice shops and dining close by. Only thing is bring a mask for your eyes, because the light shines in through the window panels at night."

"Hotel Kabuki is a 'good bargain.' It is not an 'upscale' hotel because it is a little outdated and it seems a little worn. However, the hotel is relatively clean, the staff is friendly, and the decor is interesting. What appealed to me most is the low price I received. I would stay at this hotel again."

"We just got back from SF. The 75th Golden Gate Bridge Anniversary was icing on the cake.nI like staying in Kabuki very much. The view from rooms 504 and 503 are beautiful.nWe had breakfast at a little mall next door - it is connected to the hotel and you have various places to choose from. It is very clean. The bakery has the BEST pastry we had in years.nThe hotel is neat and staff is supper friendly. nI like staying in Japan Town more than Fisherman's Warf because it is quiet and still close to downtown, Golden Gate Park and museums.nThe only thing that may bother you in the hotel is the heights of the shower if you are very tall :-). But most people will love this hotel and its unique design. n"
