"The Hotel Fusion was a decent place to return to in the evenings. The room was relatively small, so we didn't find ourselves wanting to just hang out in it. But after a long day of touristy sightseeing, it was a comfortable room to return to. Everything was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful.
The included breakfast is pretty simple - a large tray of a variety of pastries, instant oatmeal, coffee and juice. Nothing that lasted us long.
Also - CAREFUL with the 'FREE' drink vouchers. They can only be redeemed for a few select items on the drink menu. My wife and I don't go out to drink, so I was very unpleasantly surprised to have to pay $25 for 2 drinks I thought would be free."

"From start to finish, we had a wonderful time. The hotel is in the best spot. Close to everything. We stayed on the four floor back corner room number 426. Awesome room...small but clean. Prices were perfect for location. It was our wedding anniversary and the first night my husband and I went out for drinks. We hung with some locals that night and a bunch of others we meet out on the town. The staff is very helpful and courteous. Overall we had a great time. Bed was small but still very comfortable. I would stay there again. No BED BUGS, NO NOISE FROM CLUB ON 4 th floor. Those other post are ridiculous...I'm very picking and this hotel gets an A"

"This hotel had excellent location and super friendly and efficient staff. We were able to walk to the BART right around the corner, and taxi service was constantly around. The staff answered our many questions about the area, hotel, club, etc, and they were willing to fix any issue we had as quick as they could. The rooms were small, but when considering the price we paid compared to the prices of other hotels, I would not complain. Cold Stone and the historic trolley turn around was right across the street!"

"After being in the city for a few days we were going to stay here because we were promised two free drinks, free club passes, late 2pm check out. So we were going to check out the club and enjoy a lazy day. When we check in the room was 8 feet wide by 11 long. The smallest room I have ever seen!!! I was also informed that the club is closed on Mondays, which was the day we checked in. So no free drinks, no club passes and no late 2pm check out. The locations is all that is good about this place. I would not recommend this to anyone.

"While the hotel location is GREAT and the staff is friendly, that's about all Hotel ILLUSION Fusion has to offer. Stayed here for 3 nights and wasn't in the room for very long so it wasn't terrible, but definitely expected more from what was advertised online. The first day we got there, the elevator was broken so we had to walk up to the 4th floor. Our room was VERY small. Cons: only had a stand-up shower (nowhere to sit to shave your legs), no counter space (just 1 sink), water pressure in the sink was very low, we had no window view b/c it looked out to the next building, the lighting was awful, and even though we requested a queen sized bed, we got stuck with a double bed. Everything was clean for the most part, but everything in the room was out-dated. Stay here if location is the only aspect of your vacation that's important to you! "

"While this hotel is in a great location (close to Union Square, BART, trolley) and the staff is helpful and friendly, the benefits stop there. Our room was very small and dark because the window faced other buildings. While the room was clean, the furnishings were of poor quality and the walls, carpeting, bedding, towels, and bathroom certainly did not seem newly updated, as advertised. The photos on the website are definitely deceiving, as my friend and I were expecting a hip, lounge-type environment in the hotel itself but which, in reality, only exists in the club downstairs. Also, the complimentary breakfast, which is served in a room not much larger than a storage closet with no seating area, included only a few pastries, microwaveable instant Oatmeal, and OJ. We did not spend an extended amount of time in the hotel/room because of the activities we had planned but would only recommend this hotel if location is of upmost important to you."

"I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Super small, super loud. I bought the upgrade for only $12 more to get complimentary cocktails upon arrival as well as free internet. The internet was free, yet the part I was looking forward to was the drinks!! NO WHERE DID IT SAY THAT THE CLUB inside the hotel WAS CLOSED ON MONDAYS. NO WHERE!! SERIOUSLY so mad. Also the valet parking took forever, and you need to park your car in their designated areas. Such a hassle. NO ONE SHOULD STAY HERE. Poor night's sleep. Really terrible service. Small everything.

"I was really dissapointed with this hotel, we had been travelling around California and was expecting this hotel to be a nice sanctary for a couple of nights in San Francisco, but it was not. The room was clean but tiny, very dark as the window faced in a small square of surrounding buildings therefore not able to open the blinds as onlooked from all directions.
I think having all the pictures of the nightclub is misleading as there are NO facilities at this hotel, the reception area is tiny, no lobby, or lounge it is essentially a thin hallway and rooms.I did not see anything within this hotel that warrant it being described as a stylish boutique hotel, we actually thought we must be at the wrong place.
I found the standard much better in travelodges and cheap motels than in this hotel

Add said there was portable A/C in the room which I guess means fans that are so loud that you are unable to sleep with ear plugs in.
Hotel smells like a smokers lounge from the 60's

"This hotel is in the heart of downtown with easy access to the cable cars, Union Square, shopping and the metro. Overall the hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. There is a club downstairs so unfortunately if you stay on the 2nd floor like we did you hear the loud music till about 2am when they close down. In general the walls are pretty thin and the beds a little hard, but you pretty much pay for the proximity to the city. Would recommend it if you're only in town a night or two!"

"I arrived at 10pm on a Saturday and was told that my room was not clean. After waiting for an hour it was ready and then they wanted 100 dollars for incidentals that has still not been returned. The room was small but nice. It's a smaller hotel and you can hear any noise that happens. The noise from the club downstairs wasn't that bad. It is located in a very good part of town, close to shopping and downtown. Everything is in walking distance. "

"I feel like I was tricked. I stayed there just to get out and have a night on the town and perhaps visit the Infusion Lounge and not have to drive home. They do call it a boutique hotel, so you would figure it should be good. The hallways reek with smoke and make you feel like your in a hospital. There is no A/C at this property. I didn't know that places like this existed. If you want cool air open the window. Most hotels don't allow you to open a window so far that you could fall out of it. I mean that is a lawsuit waiting to happen. So it's either hear your neighbor or boil in the room. Not a great choice. The Infusion Lounge is pretty ghetto I don't know how it was rated one of the best clubs. It's like Jersey Shore meets Watts. I don't suggest it.
I would stay far far away. I would never stay here again."

"This is the best deal I have ever found in San Francisco. The location is prime, and the room was really very nice. I was pleasantly surprised to find robes in the room, as well as nice toiletries, coffee maker, safe, and fridge. "I have stayed in boutique hotels all over San Francisco. You do expect them to be a little tight with space and older, etc., but you do not generally expect them to be dank, tiny broom closets. "We recently stayed here for 2 nights. Ended up getting upgraded to a junior suite - which I was glad to hear since I had heard the other rooms could be very small. Was not too happy about being on the 2nd floor - but luckily the club noise did not prove to be too distracting in our room. The yucky view of the other hotel rooms was easily hidden by pulling down the shades. Overall no major issues with the hotel. It was a great deal. The only downside was how long it took sometimes to get your car from the valet's. Otherwise I would probably recommend this hotel for it's great location, close to alot of good food and fun."

"I booked this trip on a 24 hour sale. I wasn't looking for an expensive place to stay, this hotel was not bad. The rooms were pretty small and I wasn't too impressed with how small the TV was. The other thing that threw me off was that on the booking for the hotel it said two VIP tickets to the hotels club and two complimentary cocktails upon arrival. PLEASE READ SMALL PRINT! The passes to the club only get you half off the door price, so it's still $10 to get in, plus you have to use it before 11pm. The complimentary drinks can only be used during happy hour in the lounge, so pay attention to the hours it runs. The staff was very friendly I have to say, they were kind to take our luggage while we waited to check in and also before we left to the airport. Overall its not bad for the price we paid, its in a good location and close to all the transit systems."

"My wife and I have traveled to San Francisco from Spain thanks to our Easter Holidays. The city is amazing and the Hotel has been a very good choice to make unforgettable our holidays. The hotel has an excellent location, just 50 meter from Powell Station. We had breakfast included in our booking and it´s funny because you have to go the 5th floor, collect your breakfast (orange juice, oat meal, cakes and coffe/tea) and then you take your breakfast with your tray to your room and have it there. The only dark point is the noise. In the lower floor of the hotel there is a Lounge (Hip-Hop, Disco...) and in the middle of the night when people has ended and try to go home in an friendly manner, they are not precisely silent... "Overall a good value for the money. The room was much smaller than I had expected, but it was clean, safe and served it's purpose, a place to sleep and shower. My room was on the second floor above the culb so I could hear the boom of the beat the solution they offered were ear plugs, didnt help much, luckily I was exhausted so the noise didn't keep me from sleeping.Staff was very friendly, the only negative is that they hold $100 deposit for incidentals, even if you don't use any and it will take 3-5 days for it to be returned to my account."

The breakfast bar was pleasant and well-stocked (continental), and they kept the coffee and tea going all day in the lobby. Nice staff, willing to help out in a pinch. Con: My room was impossibly small, making it outright dangerous as I kept banging into the furniture. There was no space for a desk and a chair, making it difficult for a person on a business trip to work. If you can tolerate this, this hotel is a great value when you need to be close to all."

"Everything was great! Keep up the good work! There was an issue with the hotel room bed request not provided as it was purchased on the web site. The staff was offering a suite with one bed for three persons family, when two beds where purchased on the original web site order. The staff wanted to get $ 165.00 extra to accomadate this request!!!! After our explanation they did not charge us, however they originally wanted too!"

"This was a very poor experience. When I checked in, the front desk woman was friendly and helpful. The service went down from there. This was a business trip and I had arrived to SF mid morning after waking up very early so I was looking to get to sleep around 10pm. Since I was on the second floor, I figured I was far enough from the street noise. I was. But, I was pretty much on top of the nightclub. So, until almost 2am, my windows shook and the base beats of the night club kept me up. It was very very loud. I called down to the front desk and was told that the music would end around midnight. So I was patient. Then it was 1230, then 130am, and the music kept thumping. The person on the phone was abrupt and rude. I asked my question, she answered, and then she hung up quickly. I'm guessing she was getting lots of calls from angry guests. It was impossible to sleep. This was not something earplugs would block. The next morning, working on a few hours of sleep, I asked the front desk to change my room. There was no apologies, no explanations. It was just a cool and unfriendly greeting, that did end up moving me to the 4th floor. The guy behind the desk didn't seem surprised about how horrible my night was. He didn't really care either. So, the second night started the same: enter the shoebox sized room and hope for the best. At around 10pm, I start to hear a faint thumping beat. It's 2 flights above and I'm still hearing the nightclub! I was able to doze a bit as it was a bit less than the night before but it was not a restful sleep. The hotel is not worth a stay; it's cheap but not worth not sleeping. The location is fine but the service and comfort is lacking."

"Super noisy guests...not very courteous during the late night hours throughout the hallways and other rooms...never got a good night's sleep. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Coffee was gone, no fruit, no yogurt, just high calorie sweet rolls . Another problem was the room was very small and had no tables and chairs to sit down to eat one's breakfast...had to eat in bed, rooms were SUPER clean and and bedding comfortable but smaller than expected without much furniture for clothes. Hotel was centrally located to EVERYTHING including all means of transportation...staff very friendly, courteous, and helpful with our questions."

"I really enjoyed our week long stay at this hotel. It was very clean, comfortable bed, nice linens, fresh robes to wear, and the location was ideal. The cable car that takes you to China Town and Fisherman's wharf were less than a block away as well as the rental car companies. The only two areas that needs improvement would have to be the breakfast area and the fact that there is a club downstairs. Do not book this hotel if you are planning to save money by eating breakfast at the hotel. It is in a tiny room with mediocre danish. I would highly recommend 'Sears' it is a wonderful restaurant only 2 blocks from the hotel. (Aprox $30 for 2 people) The club that is downstairs at the hotel is a problem on Friday and Saturday nights. The reason this is a problem for us is because we had an outside room that overlooked the street and we had to open the windows because there was no air conditioning in the rooms. We could hear the people downstairs yelling and partying till 3am. Even with these two downfalls I would still stay at this hotel again. The front desk staff was wonderful, helpful, and professional. The cleaning personel was wonderful. We always had fresh linens and a clean room when we came back from sight seeing. I would highly recommend this hotel."

"Great place to stay, wish we could have done two nights. I was very satisfied. My wife and I had a great time at the club they have and it is very centerally located. We will be back for sure. "Trip to San Francisco and northern California. Rooms are very small. They were out of coffee in the lobby. Had no luggage cart available for visitors on 10/28/2011.
Receptionist was talking on the phone and was not available to answer questions.
Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Coffee was gone, no fruit, no yogurt, just high colorie sweet rolls . Another problem was that he room was very small and had no tables and chairs to sit down to eat one's breakfast.
Parking costs $27.00 per night from the hotel. This hotel does not have a spot for visitors to onload their luggage. In San Francisco visitors need a parking space to unload and check in.
I went about two blocks away and found indoor parking for $15.00 per night.
All in all, this hotel was the poorest place we stayed in and we were in five different places."

"Great location, steps from BART and Trolley, 2 blocks away from Union Square shopping. Courteous and friendly front desk and housekeeping staff. Not as updated as photos lead you to believe but decent. Hallways smell a little like a hospital and could use a revamping of the carpeting and lighting. Room was cozy and showed effort in making it more trendy. Not all rooms have Air conditioning so make sure you ask. Sheets were pilled so it was a little rough. We asked for housekeeping to change them out but they still were pilled. Flat screen TV and Robes were nice. Bathroom was fine, water pressure could be worse. Toothpaste was in the toiletry kit which is uncommon. Overall I'd stay here again without hesitation."

"The Hotel was located in a GREAT locations. Very close to bart and tons of restaurants, bars, and a club next door. There is an italian place right across the street that had a great happy hour every day of the week. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I read a lot of complaints before we went about the noise outside and from the club below. The noise never bothered us, but we were also probably part of the noisy club goers. This trip was for fun and had tons! We will definitely stay at Fushion Boutique next time we visit San Francisco. Great Value, Great time!!"
