The hotel is beautiful but lacks lighting, it's dark everywhere even in our room with the lights on. And the aircon in our room was noisy. Staff were bery friendly and always asking if you need help. Overall, we like our stay here.

Pros: 1. Big rooms, if you pay to upgrade 2. Good air con if a little noisy 3. Good beds 4. Good showers 5. Good TV 6. Good staff, friendly and helpful Cons: 1. Rooms facing the street can be noisy 2. No room service 3. Noise from the corridor can be intrusive 4. A bit expensive for what it is? Overall, a good hotel in a central location for trams and buses.

My wife and I stayed at pier 2620 May 21-24. Not having been to San Francisco before we wanted to stay by fisherman's wharf. After researching hotels we decided to try this hotel due to it's boutique appearance; we are so glad we did. Upon check in we were told they were sold out due to a convention and we were being upgraded to a suite. The room was very clean and very nicely decorated, including a huge shower and separate soaking tub. The original room we reserved included continental break... Read more

Clean, we'll run, friendly staff, ebullient concierge, good (tourist) location BUT the walls are thin and you can hear everything above and beside you all night, the buffet breakfast is good but expensive for eggs, fruit, and cereal ($22 pp), the bar is unremarkable and the pour is poor, parking is very convenient but $55 per night. Yes San Francisco is expensive and worth it, so you might want your hotel to be great. It is not a mistake to stay there but we would not go back. Do more research.

We always choose Pier 2620 Hotel when we are in San Francisco. It is very close to Fisherman's Wharf, piers, cable cars, shops and restaurants, and Ghiradelli Square. It's size makes it easy to get around rather than hotels with many floors. Good parking options. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel has a restaurant for breakfast and a wine bar which is great for meeting with friends.

The rooms have a nice theme to them (harbour/seaport theme) which the kids loved. Room was a good size, air con was available etc. Fisherman's Wharf is only a 5 minute walk away.

Pier 2620 is a modern, boutique-like hotel with a European style. The rooms are comfortable, even inspiring, in their design and the recent renovation means everything is still very new and fresh-looking. That said, there is still definite room for improvement. Cleanliness is a crucial area which they're clearly getting wrong. On arrival, there were long and very obvious hairs in our room - two in the bathroom and another in the bedroom. We first arrived at the hotel and the receptionist seemed very pleasant. We were told that there was no food served until breakfast which was quite expensive so we did not try any food at Pier 2620. The lift was very odd, you had to use a room key in order to get anywhere. Pretty much everything was within walking distance!! Rooms were clean. A bit dark for my taste but my husband seemed to like the darker room. If you don't want a lot of street noise in your room, ask for a room within the interior section. We did that after reading reviews online, and we're really glad we did. It was very quiet in our room. Just an FYI the walls are really thin. But location is awesome!

Damn expensive, but what is not damn expensive In San Francisco? Nestled in a cluster of hotels near Fishermans Wharf, Pier 2620 is in a nice neighbourhood and a good location to visit this touristy part of town. Good beds, reasonable shower (given the water shortages in California) and friendly staff. Adnd the industrial look with fake traindoors in the bathroom? Well it doesn hurt and it's a nice gimmick.

Views of city from our 3rd room floor were Awesome! Location was close to everything for ease of walking. We parked at hotel and walked everywhere. I would recommend for anyone coming for holiday! We used the bike shop next door "basically free" and recommend if you are going to use their free offer of shooing at store.

We stayed with our two children in a room with 2 queen size beds. The décor was different to most hotels which was lovely to enjoy. Most of the staff were really helpful, although we did have an incident upon arriving. Our booking couldn't be found. The staff member dealing with this was not very helpful and left us feeling a little stressed with the situation until eventually it was resolved. We paid extra when we booked to have access to the Club facilities, breakfast, evening drink etc. ... Read more

Let me start by admitting any hotel that charges nearly $50 for parking per night loses my loyalty. In US often public areas of hotels are amazing and rooms dated, these rooms are warehouse industrial chic but cold and dark. You have to fiddle with lights, find surface space whilst listening to every conversation in the corridor. Surface over substance. You can do better.

We had a room here with two 2 queen beds. The room was a decent size, and we liked the industrial/modern decor quite a bit. It's within walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39, and there are lots of places to eat nearby! (There's also a Safeway, CVS, and Trader Joe's within a few blocks.) It was clean, friendly, & convenient. We appreciated the onsite valet parking, as well as the extra security of needing to use your key card in the elevator. Great stay!

The hotel is situated very well. Staff very friendly and helpful. When we complained about a yapping dog next door, we were moved immediately to a suite. Couldn't be more helpful and eager to please. Didn't eat there just had breakfast which was totally overpriced and typically "hotel".

Great place to stay. Friendly, helpful staff. Booked a club room which included an excellent breakfast each morning. Our room was clean and comfortable. Walking distance to many attractions including Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square and cable cars. One block to public transportation. Would definitely stay again.

The room was large and very comfortable with a great bed. Location was so nice. We walked to fishermans wharf, north beach, china town , Lombardi crooked street, coit tower and some great pubs on Russian Hill. Uber was always available if we wanted a ride but everything was so nearby. Concierge helped us rent a car to go to Napa and gave us discount coupons for renting bikes. The gym is small but has one of the best hotel gyms I have ever used for the amount of equipment. Housekeeping staff were... Read more

Pier 2620 is a clean, convenient hotel located just off Fisherman's Wharf and a few blocks from Ghirardelli Square. If you don't mind walking, it's a great location. The nearest underground BART station is about a mile away, or you can catch a cab or UBER. The rooms were clean and updated, but the floors are a little thin. We were on the first floor and we could definitely hear walking above us. There wasn't any street noise, so that was nice. Upon check-in, I was just a little surprised by the... Read more

our company was attending a seminar By a large retailer in the bay area. They had worked a special price for the vendors t . The manager and assistant manager did not want to honor the rate they made with the retailer. our stay cost us$ 700.00 more for 2 night stay.,than a comparable hotel that made the same accommodation with the retailer. This is not acceptable.

We checked in for a week's stay and upon check in were upgraded to a suite. The room was great. The decor has a Marine/Industrial feel to it. The suite was spacious and comfortable. I had been talking to the Concierge, Debbie for a couple of weeks in advance of our stay to reserve some tours and activities. Debbie made the trip a breeze with her knowledge and help. My only knock on the room was someone had smoked in the bathroom and the smell wouldn't leave. Overall this is a great place t... Read more

Great location, unique room decor, relatively good value for SF but the elevator security system is a disaster. We had four rooms spread over all three floors and spent way too much time trying to get the elevator to stop at each floor. The key card doesn't work like in most hotels but there are no instructions that explain the difference. It wasn't just us. Everyone we encountered in the elevators was extremely frustrated. And the security benefit is totally lost because you could use the stai... Read more

On Arrival Valet parking quickly dispatched my Mustang, was greeted at the desk by a friendly chap who checked us in efficiently. The so called security lift worked without the use of your card so that needs addressing. Great hotel with comfortable beds and great location. Stayed 3 nights. The front desk lady who checked us in was very friendly. However there was a very rude front desk man who spoke down at me when I requested for the bottles of water on my third night which was provided on my first and second night. He rudely explained (more like yelled) that these were complementary on on my first two night and as per their policy and I should buy them if I needed more which I wouldn't necessarily mind. Apart from the location I can't think of anything I liked about this hotel, do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else, overpriced and overrated, would not stay here again for free! Walls paper thin, front desk staff going through the motions, courtyard is a joke never saw anyone out there, no place really to sit outside, breakfast was crap, all dried up as with club level, never saw anyone there. Facilities are all great, beds were comfy, room had a fridge, phone and coffee machine and ample storage, towels and toiletries. Really well placed for Fisherman's Wharf (literally round the corner) and Ghirardelli Square, and about a 15-20 minute walk to North Beach, 20-25 to China Town. This hotel had a cute industrial theme and the decor was nice, however I agree with another reviewer who mentioned that the lighting in the room was too dim. It's in a great location within walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli square (a bit of a longer walk, but pretty along waterfront), Lombard street, Pier 39 etc.

It's my preferred place to stay when I visit San Francisco to do a swim event in the Bay. The recent upgrade of the rooms is fun and imaginative; the parking fee is reasonable, and the staff are friendly and courteous without being intrusive. It's a quiet place to stay given its close location to Fishermen's Wharf.

Pier 2620 is a beautiful property with friendly, helpful and attentive staff. We were able to check in several hours early. Great decor, very cool use of a small shipping type container as a closet and drawers. Very industrial look to the rooms with trendy lighting. Comfy beds and luxurious bed linens and towels. Great little bar and a convenient marketplace. Would definitely stay here in the future.

The location of the hotel is a very quick walk to shops and restaurants on the wharf and just a little further of a walk to Pier 39. The hotel is conveniently located- a 5 minute walk to Fisherman's wharf from where most of the tours originate. Lot of eating places nearby. The rooms are designed in a "Pier" theme with pier number written on the wall. The room was spacious with a very good shower and temperature control. Only downside was the noise coming from outside. The hotel also has a good concierge service which was very convenient for booking tours and airport drop. Overall a good place to stay.

Great location if looking to be near Fisherman's Wharf. My husband and I stayed for our Anniversary. When I told the front desk that we are celebrating they were like that's nice. Would recommend. Staff efficient and attentive. Only reason for 4 stars is unavailability for coffee in the morning. Although room offers coffee pots, I do not care for them. I think bistro should offer the availability of getting a cup of coffee only. Did not want to purchase breakfast offered - too expensive for what was offered. This really is a great hotel, the location is good, the room is pleasantly spacious and the interior design of the room and the bathroom is appealingly modern and stylish. The entrance lobby is great and provides nice seating areas. But the reason I only gave 4 out of 5 points is that in this price range we would have expected these following points shouldn't be: -Breakfast wasn't included. -The windows aren't sound proofed enough, the tr...
