The hotel is beautiful but lacks lighting, it's dark everywhere even in our room with the lights on. And the aircon in our room was noisy. Staff were bery friendly and always asking if you need help. Overall, we like our stay here.

Pros: 1. Big rooms, if you pay to upgrade 2. Good air con if a little noisy 3. Good beds 4. Good showers 5. Good TV 6. Good staff, friendly and helpful Cons: 1. Rooms facing the street can be noisy 2. No room service 3. Noise from the corridor can be intrusive 4. A bit expensive for what it is? Overall, a good hotel in a central location for trams and buses.

My wife and I stayed at pier 2620 May 21-24. Not having been to San Francisco before we wanted to stay by fisherman's wharf. After researching hotels we decided to try this hotel due to it's boutique appearance; we are so glad we did. Upon check in we were told they were sold out due to a convention and we were being upgraded to a suite. The room was very clean and very nicely decorated, including a huge shower and separate soaking tub. The original room we reserved included continental break... Read more

Clean, we'll run, friendly staff, ebullient concierge, good (tourist) location BUT the walls are thin and you can hear everything above and beside you all night, the buffet breakfast is good but expensive for eggs, fruit, and cereal ($22 pp), the bar is unremarkable and the pour is poor, parking is very convenient but $55 per night. Yes San Francisco is expensive and worth it, so you might want your hotel to be great. It is not a mistake to stay there but we would not go back. Do more research.

We always choose Pier 2620 Hotel when we are in San Francisco. It is very close to Fisherman's Wharf, piers, cable cars, shops and restaurants, and Ghiradelli Square. It's size makes it easy to get around rather than hotels with many floors. Good parking options. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel has a restaurant for breakfast and a wine bar which is great for meeting with friends.

The rooms have a nice theme to them (harbour/seaport theme) which the kids loved. Room was a good size, air con was available etc. Fisherman's Wharf is only a 5 minute walk away.

Pier 2620 is a modern, boutique-like hotel with a European style. The rooms are comfortable, even inspiring, in their design and the recent renovation means everything is still very new and fresh-looking. That said, there is still definite room for improvement. Cleanliness is a crucial area which they're clearly getting wrong. On arrival, there were long and very obvious hairs in our room - two in the bathroom and another in the bedroom. We first arrived at the hotel and the receptionist seemed very pleasant. We were told that there was no food served until breakfast which was quite expensive so we did not try any food at Pier 2620. The lift was very odd, you had to use a room key in order to get anywhere. Pretty much everything was within walking distance!! Rooms were clean. A bit dark for my taste but my husband seemed to like the darker room. If you don't want a lot of street noise in your room, ask for a room within the interior section. We did that after reading reviews online, and we're really glad we did. It was very quiet in our room. Just an FYI the walls are really thin. But location is awesome!

Damn expensive, but what is not damn expensive In San Francisco? Nestled in a cluster of hotels near Fishermans Wharf, Pier 2620 is in a nice neighbourhood and a good location to visit this touristy part of town. Good beds, reasonable shower (given the water shortages in California) and friendly staff. Adnd the industrial look with fake traindoors in the bathroom? Well it doesn hurt and it's a nice gimmick.

Views of city from our 3rd room floor were Awesome! Location was close to everything for ease of walking. We parked at hotel and walked everywhere. I would recommend for anyone coming for holiday! We used the bike shop next door "basically free" and recommend if you are going to use their free offer of shooing at store.

We stayed with our two children in a room with 2 queen size beds. The décor was different to most hotels which was lovely to enjoy. Most of the staff were really helpful, although we did have an incident upon arriving. Our booking couldn't be found. The staff member dealing with this was not very helpful and left us feeling a little stressed with the situation until eventually it was resolved. Let me start by admitting any hotel that charges nearly $50 for parking per night loses my loyalty. In US often public areas of hotels are amazing and rooms dated, these rooms are warehouse industrial chic but cold and dark. You have to fiddle with lights, find surface space whilst listening to every conversation in the corridor. Surface over substance. You can do better.

We had a room here with two 2 queen beds. The room was a decent size, and we liked the industrial/modern decor quite a bit. It's within walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39, and there are lots of places to eat nearby! (There's also a Safeway, CVS, and Trader Joe's within a few blocks.) It was clean, friendly, & convenient. We appreciated the onsite valet parking, as well as the extra security of needing to use your key card in the elevator. Great stay!

The room was large for a city room, and very clean with a comfy bed (we had the King.) I l also loved the Float bath products, and the bath dispensers were great so I wasn't limited to a tiny bottle! As a girl who travels,... Read more

We just stayed here and were very surprised at how nice the room was. We had two queens and the theme was "ships." Quite unique. There is a fitness room and a nice open outdoor area with seating. This is walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf and all the restaurants there. This is a clean hotel and the staff is helpful.

Is located within 100m of the cable car and a short walk to Fishermans wharf. Rooms are nice and themed as a wharf type theme. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying at Fishermans Wharf in San Fransisco. Staff are helpful and we had no issues.

Just checked in and it is the most wonderful hotel we stayed in for 2 weeks in North America. Location: near to the bay, safe neighborhood. Fast and cheap to get to by cab from Montgomery BART station Room: the most tastefully and ultra modern designed hotel we stayed in. Very clean and comfortable. The toilet is clean and comes with all the modern amenities. Everything about this hotel is perfect. Would have been even better if we got a bay view room! Absolutely worth spending the money an... Our room was right next to gym. My headboard of bed and at 11:30 at night someone using weight machine and dropping weights. Sound kept us up for 1/2 hr. Same thing next morning at 6:30. They need to insulate that wall more. Also doors are heavy and people don't close them quietly but let them slam all hours of night. Otherwise very interesting and clean. If a sound sleeper great. I was on 1st floor. No one was sitting in courtyard but am positive that in nice weather can be noisy till all h... Read more

Well located and nicely decorated. Very expensive for the quality though, certainly influenced hy the fancy location. A couple of days is enough there to see San Francisco key spots. A bit disappointed that breakfast is not included in room rate which was quite high.

The convenient location is a couple of blocks from Fisherman's Wharf where you can go to many attractions, sailboat tours, Alcatraz tours, shops and restaurants. The hotel is close to Walgreen stores, three blocks from Safeway (we bought food there and used our room's fridge) and it's only one block from the Grayline tours office/bus boarding location. The front desk staff was friendly, helpful, accommodating as well as the concierge and housekeeping were excellent too. The room is very unique a... Read more

There was a good deal of street noise during the evening and into the early morning. I chose this location on the recommendation of Golden Gate Half Marathon. In hindsight, I would probably look into other locations for values and features.

A very good hotel (and quit expensive...) located Close to tram stop and fishermans wharf. Beware of valet parking - over 60 USD (with tax) per night! A good gym but no pool. Good service. Walking distance to fishermans wharf, Chinatown and other sights. Very good standard overall.

Our room was spacious - 2 queen beds and room to move. Room was well appointment and clean. Decor was different - quirky - following on the fisherman's theme. Short walk to Fisherman's Wharf - and the buzz that happens there - boats to Alcatraz etc - quirky shops and some seriously good restaurants. Happy hour at 5.00pm. Nice breakfast! The only thing that spoiled our visit was noise. In San Francisco they are big on 'clean'. About 4.30am every morning the garbage would make it's daily ... Read more

Great time. Great location. Hotel was great. Highly recommend the club rooms facing the courtyard. It was very quiet. We slept great, but we did walk 12-15 miles every day. The refrigerator in the club room was not well stocked and that's my only complaint.

Loved the decor, not your cookie national chain hotel room. Everything was super clean and looked new. Convenient location near fishermans warf but a few blocks removed from the super touristy strip which worked for us. Free wifi "because that's the way it should be" as stated on their website! Club room breakfast, included with room type we booked, included hot scrambled eggs each day's, bagels, toasts, fruit, coffee etc. which was a good convenience on the mornings we had early tours book... I chose to stay at Pier 2620 Hotel Fisherman's Wharf after reading reviews and looking at pictures from other tripadvisor reviews. Other hotels suggested to me by my travel agent in the neighbourhood were furnished like every other chain hotel. Pier 2620 was furnished a little more funky than the others. Light fixtures are on the industrial side (bare bulbs in caging, conduct and boxes with bare bulbs in the ceiling) Hallway and room walls look like a concrete finish but up close it is some ... Great location with an excellent room just a few blocks from Fisherman's wharf and close to Cable cars. The Club King room was facing an internal courtyard, no view but room was quiet and with plenty of space coupled with the access to the Club breakfast which was a good start to the day. Would definitely stay again.

What a lovely hotel, roomy bedroom with corner sofa, huge bed. Quality bedding and towels provided as are toiletries. Fresh linen each day. The lobby smells gorgeous every time you walk down. Friendly staff "have a nice day" bandied around a lot but then it is America. A little shop is in the foyer which was open when we woke at 2am needing food and drink after a long flight from the UK.

The only down side to my visit was a pubic hair on the hand bar inside when it was removed from its small box. Other than that ugly experience the hotel staff was. Very polite and professional. Room was a very nice size and well decorated. The bed was very confortable with a large array of pillows which were very firm making for a good nights sleep.

A great location and perfect for short stay. Loved North Beach area and staff was informative and the room very comfortable. We had coffee and tea in room. We paid extra for the Club level. I do wish we had been informed that the snacks weren't available on weekends in the club but not a deal breaker. We didn't even make it there on Sunday. You should be more forthcoming because some may care. The decor was industrial which we liked. The beds were very comfortable and we loved that we had a tub... Read more
