We stayed for two nights in May 2016. The hotel is a lovely place and the rooms were very clean and modern. It is in a very good location - easy walking distance to Union Square and Chinatown. The couple of negatives (for constructive criticism) - you had to pay for the coffee in the room. We think there may have been free coffee on a morning in the hotel but we would expect some free tea/coffee in the rooms (and indeed had found that to be the case in most other hotels we stayed in on our trip... I came to SF for a friend's memorial and this hotel was one of the hotels chosen for out of town guests. We ended up having a large group coming in from everywhere . I stayed for 6 nights and could not of felt more at home. For such a central city location the rooms were spacious enough(small bathrooms but nicely done) and well decorated. I like to sleep in a cold dark room and the air conditioning worked very well(I froze my friend who shared the room with me) and the drapes blocked the morning ... Read more

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was a very good central location meaning we could walk everywhere. Breakfast not included. Free wine and snacks in the evening and coffee in the morning. Nice staff. Room a good size with large, spacious bathroom. TV, coffee machine and wardrobe. We had an internal room with view over courtyard - not really a view, but not an issue. Aircon in room. Overall, a good hotel for a short stay.

Weekend stay for a comedy fest so we didn't spend much time at the hotel. It's a nice upscale boutique hotel that has kept its history despite renovations. Perfect location to walk into a number of neighborhoods. They had a french restaurant downstairs that provided room service but we already had plans for dinners out. The menu looked good though. Also just next door is a cafe called Bread and Cocoa which is perfect for your morning caffeine. Good pastries too. We stayed in January so the price... Read more

Very close to all the places I needed to be (walking distance). 30mins to the Pier, 10 mins to the ferry, 5mins to the underground 10mins to Market and 1min from several 7/11s. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel and the room is beautiful. I had a lovely view of the Financial District and found myself not wanting to leave the room a few times. The staff was exquisite, very professional, knowledgeable, and even knew how to carry a non generic conversation. One very interesting thing that... Read more

I stayed here for 4 nights while on business in San Francisco. I was placed in a 2nd floor room, facing the street. Check-in was an easy process. Staff were friendly and efficient. I am not sure of the room class that was booked for me, but I am not sure I would wish it on anyone. The bathroom did not have a basin - it was in the bedroom instead. Additionally, morning noise on the street was very loud and irritating. Since it started at 5am, this was not ideal. The on-site gym is small b... Read more

Very personal and genuine service - no mouth service - they really care about their guests. Convenient location and well worth a visit. San Francisco is getting no better but that is a very different story!! See you again soon GPH!!

Arriving early after a long haul flight we used the BART which was only a short walk to the hotel, our room was not quite ready but Simone advised she would text when available. Simone offer a choice of rooms putting us in one that would receive less road noise she also organised cold beers or wine of our choosing to be in our room on return which duly happened. Very central hotel with a short walk to the trams. The hotel was spotless. The staff Simone, Jill, concierge, cleaners and a membe... Read more

I loved everything about this hotel! Great location and it has been remodeled very well. The room was small and it was expected to be due to the fact that it was in the heart of the union district. The bathroom was huge though! Very clean room and nice staff. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others!

I am in SF during Apple's developer week and the city is sold out. I spent two nights at this hotel and realized I needed a third due to a change in plans. Natalie and Ben worked for about four hours to try to secure me an additional night. They fielded multiple phone calls from me in that period of time and proactively reached out to me. We started the process around 6pm and we just locked down a room. I am hugely appreciative of the time and effort they put into this and the genuine concern th... Read more

Typical older hotel in SFO near Union Square. My room was clean, and the bathroom had been completely redone. Very stylish. Window AC unit made window pretty much useless. Room layout was not good for business traveler who needed place to work. I need to break a $50 bill. The front desk refused saying they could not break anything bigger than a $20. Happy hour in lobby is nice, but very little seating, and two chairs practically block entrance to one of the elevators. As I exited the elev... Read more

We had a great time at Galleria Park Hotel ! Wonderful location for all we wanted to do in San Francisco. Rooms were super comfy, and we enjoyed the cocktail hour with nice wines on the house ! We had rooms just across the hall from one another so we could get together and plan our days, just as requested. We would both recommend Galleria Park !

Great older hotel in the heart of everything. Friendly staff were very helpful with directions. Small rooms but to be expected for a historic hotel. Small up to date bathrooms. Coffee and tea in the morning and wine in the early evening. Pet friendly with a walking track (for humans or pets) and relief area for pets within the facility. Not being a dog owner, this was only observed, but I never heard or smelled pets.

I am currently enjoying the complimentary "wine hour" on our first day here. Both my 14 year old daughter and I are thoroughly enjoying this hotel. Check in was extremely friendly and the front desk lady prepared a map for us of local attractions and restaurants while we settled into our room. The bathrooms are up to date. Rooms and decorations are also great.

The hotel location was excellent for us- 2 blocks from the hub of Union Square. The room was perfect- up to date and clean. We especially liked the second sink by the door when getting ready. We enjoyed the nightly wine hour between 5:30-6:30 each night. During that time we would approach the very accommodating and knowledgeable staff about our plans for the night and next day. They were very willing to help. Finally the restaurant next door Bread and Cocoa was delicious and perfect for a quick ... Read more

We stayed here for the 4th of July weekend and loved the location. We walked everywhere from nearby Chinatown, to Pier 1 all the way to Pier 39 to watch the fireworks. Everything is close by and we recommend Bread and Cocoa next door for breakfast and great coffee. So many restaurants and shops nearby, you will not be disappointed. Also, Bart Montgomery stop is only about two blocks away so transportation from the airport round trip was only about $18 per person.

This is simply a wonderful hotel. It's centrally located for SF exploration, has a lovely decor and the rooms (at least our room on the 4th floor) have high ceilings, peaceful color scheme and high-quality bed linen. Good quality bathroom goodies. Wine hour in the lobby is very welcome (albeit a tiny bit awkward as everyone simply crowds in an area that's not meant for a leisurely get-to-know-thy-fellow-travellers hour). The hotel staff are accommodating and helpful -- they upgraded us to a ... Read more

We loved this hotel's location, good for Union Square as well Market St area. Lobby and public areas are stylish and well maintained. Room was small and had no view to speak of but it's no smaller than some swankier hotels on NYC. There is a "wine evening" in the lobby from 6.30 to 7.30 but if you want a seat, make sure you get there early. Staff were mostly friendly but we did find a couple of the front desk staff lacked local knowledge.

We booked direct with the hotel, good value room rate for two separate stays in late April. The hotel room very good size and attractively furnished, bathroom definitely on small size but adequate and well serviced. Only room complaint is the noise and vibration you get through the door to corridor from adjoining rooms when somebody lets it slam- noticeable and a bit off putting initially but we got used to it. Loved the high ceilings and detail in architecture, newer buildings just don't have that kind of charm... Furniture was creative and fun. The bed and linens were very comfortable... And the free, generous wine hour offered was a total bonus! Thank you.

We liked the Hotel and the location. The staff was friendly and the room was nice and clean. The only problem we had was the noise coming from the street late at night. It sounded like there was construction going on nearby throughout the night for the 3 night we were there, I read reviews mentioning the same problem but I took a chance a picked a room with a street view. Otherwise, we enjoyed the hotel.

Stayed at this hotel for a quick stop in San Francisco and I must say it was a great stay. Beds were very cozy and guest room very clean. Although room was very small, it was comfortable for my husband and I.very beautiful decor and they nailed the boutique style. Pleasantly decorated, friendly staff, small but nice room (only had a double bed which was a little disappointing as we're used to king size at home) nice central spot to get to the various trips we had planned whilst in San Francisco, very near to Union Square: Macy's, Chinatown and Italian area.

This hotel was one of the best. The people that work there are Excellent. That was my first time staying there. We asked many questions and they knew the answers. That was great.
