I was very fortunate to meet Claudia Gales during my check in. There was some technical issues initially, but Claudia overheard my ordeal and came right through for me. She worked with Alba and Indy and got me a nice suite. My stay there was fabulous. I will continue to stay at Focus whenever I'm visiting the area.

I didn't expect luxury.. the only purpose was somewhere to sleep and a shuttle for an early morning flight, so when I got up to meet the shuttle at silly o'clock, I was not impressed to find that the lady I had checked in with in the evening and requested the shuttle from, had not bothered to book it.. rather defeats the object!! Luckily this was hastily arranged at the last minute, so no missed flight.. A basic, clean room and comfortable bed, is about the best I can say.. was leaving too earl... Read more

Very small rooms, specially if you aren't travelling alone. Bath is almost over beds! Mattress are like a table (really nothing comfortable), poor quality room service, and breakfast room have only five tables, all of them busy and dirty.

First off I recall booking the hotel making sure it says free parking and when I get to the hotel around 9:30 p.m. from A3 hour drive they were very undecided on what they wanted to charge me for parking when I showed it to them that is clearly says free parking why would they not honor that, they said things have changed these are the new policies now so I found that a bit Shady and of course the rooms are not at all remotely sanitary my dog's pet hotel gets up 5 Star compared to this

Stayed here for one night only before an early morning flight out of SFO. Looks a bit dilapidated, but nothing in particular wrong with that. Room was basic but clean. We left early so did not take breakfast. Air con rather old and noisy, but this was resolved by switching it off. A decent star.

I stay here often at the hotel and I have never had any issues. The representative that look forward to when i check in and out is Lita Wheeler...she's always so boastful and full of energy making you want to extend your visit at the Hotel Focus. Whenever I have an issue, she is there to accomodate meaning that she wants to satisfy her customers, making it hard to check in to any other hotel in the area. All of the staff members are helpful and what I appreciate the most, is that they pay attent... Read more

We have been staying at various SFO airport hotels while visiting family who live in the area. Since we're not spending much time in the rooms, we have been going for economy pricing. This hotel was inexpensive for June in San Francisco, but that's one of the few positive things I can say about it. Parking is $10, and there are other hotels nearby that do not charge. The walls are very thin, you could hear people talking in the room next door. There was quite a large gap around the door into the... Read more

This is and old tired hotel; spruced up from the outside but in real need of quality upgrade inside. Rugs are old dirty and worn, whole place needs painting. ?Rooms are small and baths are TINY. Water is hot in shower, bed ok for sleeping, haeting cooling units old loud and tired. At $200 per nite not a bargain. It is close to airport and does have free shuttle, WIFI ok and in rooms

My four kids and i spent one night here for a layover and it was perfect- especially for the price. the beds were super comfortable. the staff let me store our obscene amount of luggage behind the counter and when we woke up too late for breakfast the next morning, they still gave me food for the kids. thank you so much, Hotel Focus staff, for being so good to us. xoxo....

As for the least expensive hotel in the proximity of SFO airport I didn't have my expectations set up high. Still, for over $150 per night, one would expect something a little better. I stayed there twice, for overseas connections, and at least the staff was better the second time. But both rooms were old and tired, with frayed, old carpets. The neighborhood is somewhat industrial, with trash outside the window, with not much to do around. Very limited choice of eateries, Denny's being the close... Read more

This hotel is inexpensive & okay just to spend the night. I would not want to stay longer than a night. The sink is literally right next to the door. The bathroom is separate. Surprisingly it was quiet being on the second floor. The tv was large and worked fine. The air conditioner worked great! I like that the window can open to get fresh air. The mattress really needs an update, it was flat & not very comfy. I peeked under the bottom sheet to inspect the bedding and the mattress was horribly... Read more

Looking for a hotel near the airport it was not easy, too many choices but when I saw the hotel website, I was impressed by the garden. I booked a room and I made a request to have a room facing the garden. During the two days that I was there, I had coffee and breakfast outside. I believe, Oscar was the name of the front desk person that checked me in, he was extremely helpful. Short and sweet it worked for me. Busy hotel and parking but I will come back.

Free shuttle from airport. Good price. Place needs some additional upgrades but it was clean and has friendly stuff. Good breakfast - includes cereal, juice, tea and coffee and fresh bagels. Cons: this place has zero-sound proofing. Seriously. If you don't want to hear people talking when they pass your room then bring noise cancellation headphones. However, windows block noise from the street.

This hotel was a delight. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent with a good choice for the guests. The gardens outside were elegant, and quite pleasantly surprising for a 'budget hotel' near an airport. Clearly the owners had a design team on this one...peaceful rock gardens with swaying grasses and red cape cod chairs to lounge in! The room was clean and tidy, and it was a perfect place in all regards. Highly recommed!!

10 minutes from airport, free shuttle from/to airport. A lot of restaurants in 5 minutes walk distance. Lobby doesn't look too attractive but room was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast is very basic. Friendly staff. From my point of view - for such low price it's very good hotel. Best way to go to the SF Downtown - Lyft/Uber to San Bruno BART station (about 6$).

Don't expect anything fancy from this hotel, but it is a perfectly acceptable place to sleep if you need short term accommodations. Parking is $10 and there seemed to be plenty of it, at least when we stayed last weekend. Room was clean but modest. Very basic. Not the greatest shower pressure but again, acceptable. Friendly staff. Short drive to the airport and there is a shuttle that stops there.

Excellent accommodations, clean rooms, well trained polite staff, hotel was hooked up into almost every tour, and travel arrangement available including flights. Recommended !!! The location was great as well, right near the freeway where we could go either north or south.

Will only clean room till 2pm, after that they do not clean or replenish towels, so do not sleep in. Breakfast was just cereal and toast. Ice machines are only on first floor. You have to pay to park at $11.00 a day. No fridge or microwave in rooms. Parking is hard to come by, buses park taking most of parking. No table in room, just little wedge attached to chair.

Hotel staff was very rude and impolite. I booked two rooms on When I checked in, she said she can only see one room reserved and no rooms were left on that night. What did you expect me to do? I booked two rooms and was told only one room was reserved! Then the staff said I must call and she insisted that I only booked one room. It's obviously not my fault. It's the communication between and the hotel. How come I should be treated by that rude manner? I totally ... Read more

Basically, hospitality is non-existent at this establishment. The validity of my ID was questioned by the night auditor in a extremely rude manner. I had been inconvenienced many times as to the CC I left for incidentals (basically I was never asked if I had a vehicle and the auditor failed to record or swipe the CC I had provided). The most shocking experience was when I received a note the morning of my first night, explaining that the water would be turned off between the hours of 1pm- 5pm.... Read more

I had a last minute trip to the City to meet a friend who has a lay over from Florida to Japan. I couldn't find anything less than $100 near the airport at short notice. A friend suggested Trip Advisor and I stumble upon reviews of this hotel and I checked out the pictures. It had mixed reviews but I took my chance and booked. The front desk clerk Lita help me out and boy was she great. I asked if they have any specials and she said "unfortunately no". After a little bit more conversation and pl... Read more

It was a last minute booking, and we got the last available room. When we arrived at the hotel, I was hesitant to go out of the car because the parking lot is a bit dark but when I was finally inside the reception, my check in was a swift. It only took like 5 mins then I got the keys. It was really fast. The room is very clean and tidy, also spacious. But the towels are really small for plus sizes like me. Checked in: 10/4, incident happened 10/5 and checked out 10/6. I want to start off by saying that the hotel was a good value. It's close to the airport, a bit far from the city but had restaurants near by. The power lines in the parking lot are a bit unsettling. I wanted to say that I've had 3 Kureig machines and have used several akureig machines at various hotels. I wanted a cup of hot tea so I used the machine for hot water. First the cups they give you are smaller in ounces than what the mac... Read more

The room is clean and large enough. The shower is too low and could use a bit of love. If you want to head into town you might want to get a hotel closer to the Caltrain station. It works for a night but that's it.
