This hotel was perfect for our stay in San Francisco - a long weekend babymoon for my husband & I. I read in prior reviews that I could request a bridge view room and am I ever glad that I did!! We arrived at midnight so we didn't know how amazing our view was until the next morning - WHAT A TREAT! From our room on the fourth floor, we had a perfect view of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge from the comfort of our bed. The bed was so comfortable. The rooms were perfectly sized with cozy bathrobes ... Read more

The da Vinci Villa was a very nice hotel to stay in for the price and location. The location was perfect for what I wanted - away from the main center of the city buzz and close walking distance to the bay, the wharf, and good restaurants! The hotel is on a busy street so if you get a room on the street side it will be noisy if you open the window, but with the window shut it was that loud. The room is basic with little decorations, but it's spacious and comfortable. Lots of lighting options... Read more

Average rooms with soft towels. A/c unit was too loud. Elevators were slow and had expired inspection dates. Not bad but not great. Parking is expensive but in a decent location for walking. We could hear the people talking in the connected room through the door which made us feel like our conversation were not private but all in all we enjoyed our stay. Oh, the complimentary breakfast was ok too. Just a solid AVERAGE hotel stay for a lot of money.

My husband and I really loved this place, it was just what we needed for a couple of days to explore the city. A lot of cool stuff in walking distance (if you don't mind the hills, which we don't!) If you have a room that faces the street you will hear a lot of noise, we were prepared for this and had ear plugs (a must if you are staying at ANY hotel, cause, well you just never know!) The staff were nice and helpful and allowed us to check in early because our cross country flight arrives int he... Read more

Room was located in the back of the hotel with an outside concrete walkway on the third floor. The room was small and had a bad odor. You also could hear your neighbors on both sides along with the stomping of feet from the room above. The bathroom was tiny with no room for your toiletries. Breakfast included was bad unless you wanted a sugar fueled start to your day. Healthiest choice was over cooked hard boiled eggs served warm. I paid over $400 a night with room fee, taxes, and daily parking.... Read more

Warning: this hotel is nothing like it's picture! Our room was infested with some type of gnat that began to take over our bed, bathroom and we even had several bug bodies floating into my coffee cup by the second day of our stay. Although the staff was friendly and accommodated our request for a new room, we still were frustrated by the fact that we could not locate any water in the hotel, so had to walk down the street to the nearest liquor store. It is also not conveniently located to the ... Read more

Good location, we walked from Civic Bart station with our suitcases but I wouldn't recommend that for the unfit! It's about a 15minute walk to fishermans Warf and the piers. Friendly staff, quick check-in. The hallways and lifts ect are a bit dated but very clean. Our room was excellent, we were in a King room on the fourth floor and out of our windows we had a beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge, which was a nice surprise. (Room 410) Breakfast was simple but plentiful, for my preference I... Read more

The only good thing I can say about this hotel except for the location is good, and the service was very friendly. I know SF is expensive, but for the price paid I expected A LOT more from this hotel. - The rooms were dark, smelled kind of weird (perhaps damp, there was a dehumidifier in the room) and although the bed was comfortable the pillows were not. - The bathroom was clean the shower had barely any water pressure and was just generally pretty horrible (just a plastic base and a shower ... We paid a lot of money to stay there, and feel ripped off :/ The service was friendly, but that was about it. The website and TripAdvisor pics are nothing like the actual hotel. The room was tiny..and we had a king room. We had a terrible view of the parking lot, although they charge you $33.00/night for parking they don't guarantee you a spot! The shower curtain was ripped and the bed was not that comfortable. Not exactly happy about our stay

The PROS: great location, close to some of the city's attractions and well connected thru the public transport, decent room, heated pool. Very helpful Israel at the front desk The CONS: weak breakfast, room services might fell, tiny shower. We took this option because of the price (in SF there is nothing cheap) but we certainly expected more for the money.

The pool was very nice. The staff was friendly. Good location to go sightseeing. The room has a nice view of San Francisco. The room was not what I expected found some shorts from previous guests. I feel that the rooms were not cleaned appropriately.

First visit to San Francisco. Selected da Vinci Villa from internet search. Drove by it 3 times before actually seeing the hotel sign. Hotel room was small; with small drawers, small bathroom with no counter. Had to stack luggage against adjoining room door. The continental breakfast was reasonable; good coffee. View from upper hotel floors is very pretty; can see Golden Gate Bridge. Nice short walk to Lombard street & a downhill mile to waterfront. Charge for parking @ hotel a little pricey. In... Read more

Great hotel for the money although you don't get a lot for your money in San Fran. Staff were friendly and attentive and willing to go the extra mile. We would stay here again and considering the prices elsewhere it offers everything you could ask for including a lovely continental breakfast. Ask for a room away from main road too as its a tad noisy at night.

The hotel was vey good for the price, we booked a three bed suite which cost about $1000 for 3 nights which was very competitive for the location. It was about a 10 minute walk to Fishermans wharf and the same to Little Italy . A good safe area with great public transport around town. There was a good American breakfast, muffins, waffles, eggs, pastries etc. An excellent gym and adequate pool area. We all shared the one suite which was portioned by a wall with separate bathroom , which worked fo... Read more
