"Stayed at the Cova for New Year's Eve and was pleasantly surprised at the nicely decorated interior of hotel, staff friendliness and secure entrance. The Cova is not located in a desired part of SF, however, it is near downtown, civic center and nob hill so if you're into checking out the true local scene and not just the tourist traps, this hotel is the place to stay. We had tickets for a show on California and dinner rez for italian restaurant near Union Square - all were in walking distance from the Cova!! The only caveat is to use the shuttle in the evening as the locals come out to play and they're not all what you want to meet on your vacation.

Bottom line: good hotel and the price is right!"

"keycard kept deactivating...was told it's due to cell phone contact. they need to get new cards or a new source for cards and stop accusing clients.of deactivating cards...I've never had this muchof a problem before. Also they should post that SUV will cost $25/day and they might consider getting a ramp for wheelchairs to morning buffet. Also map would not print on Bookit site prior to trip.
Also location not in good neighborhood....I would not take a walk after 6pm inn that area"

"The room was excellent. The hotel staff amazing. Wonderful hotel to spend and celebrate an awesome birthday with someone extraordinary. We would definitely come back for another visit. We had a terrific stay."

"Very simple place. Alittle pricey for the room and location but it is SF. Wish the restaurant was open, it would have been nice to walk down to get something to eat instead of wander the Tenderloin District or have to drive. The staff was nice and helpful. They made an extra trip down to Union Square at 6 AM which was a life saver for the marathon. The rooms were very plain. White with no decor or even mirrors in the room. A little color or style to the place would have been nice. Bathroom was nice, we liked the sink, but the shower head wasn't great. Overall I would stay here again if I had to but not my first choice."
