The hotel is very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was nice. Not too noisy. The bed was comfortable. I was there for 6 days. I love the location. The breakfast was a little week. But it was OK. I would stay there again.

The room was clean and the location felt safe in a residential area. The view on the upper floors was good we were on the 10th floor. The parking fee was reasonable but take a small car it is San Francisco. Had a wonderful time as usual. The check in process was a bit slow but the desk persons were polite and professional.

The staff was very friendly and offered to hold our bags till our room was ready and also after we checked out on our last day so that we could explore the city till our flight. The housekeeping staff member (Eva) was so friendly and was such a nice person to have talked to during our trip. The location is also great! Just a few steps from the famous Lombard Street,Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39 & Chinatown. The views were also fantastic and we were able to see the Golden State Bridge clearly and... Read more

We arrived a party of 3 friends after 20 hour journey. it's 60$ cab drive from the airport great location for the money you pay, it's 15 minutes walk to fisherman wharf! We got free breakfast which was nice, the staff however was unfriendly and not much of a help. The rooms are basic, & the plumbing is old - we has a problem with the bathroom which was fixed..(however it was a smelly couple of hours) in total it is a recommended hotel in the pricey San Francisco

This is my second stay there. The room is large especially for SF, the free breakfast has cooked eggs, sausage, make your own waffles, yogurt, pastries, and bananas. The pastries weren't fresh but otherwise fine. There is a refrigerator in the room. This time we used the parking garage which was fine. Make sure to ask for a higher floor to get the terrific view, we were on the 9th floor. The bed was comfortable and the linens nice. The ac unit is noisy if on high. Just 4 blocks away, yo... Had a very comfortable stay from 5/26-5/30. Great central location within 15 min walk to fisherman's wharf and cable car turn around. Food was good and larger selection than most budget hotels. Safe area Was upgraded to top floor room with beautiful view of bridge and Alcatraz. $7 average for taxis to most areas of city for 4. Bus stop nearby. Highly recommend

We got a room away from the street, so street noise was minimal, but the trade-off was that we had a lovely view of a green wall. Bed was very comfy. Room was small but clean and had everything we needed. Staff was friendly and helpful, particularly Sharon. The free breakfast has a great variety of foods (eggs, sausage, waffles, cold cereal, oatmeal, muffins, bagels, and fruit), but it never varies. For example: always sausage, never bacon, and same flavors of muffins each day. The best t... Read more

This hotel is not up to date in decor, but it's a nice place to stay. It's a short walk to Fisherman's Wharf so it's convenient to a lot of restaurants. The breakfast provided is the same fare as most hotel's breakfasts. The rooms are a nice size with comfortable beds, but the bathroom was a bit small. However, overall a good place to stay for a reasonable price.

The room is average, it's clean and adequate. The hotel is on an extremely busy road (obviously normal for San Francisco) and there is no where to pull off to check in. I had to jump out while my husband circled the block. The underground parking is VERY tight. If you have a larger vehicle it would be tough to navigate. We were in a Nissan Maxima and had a rough time getting out of the garage. The hotel could really use to replace the older beds, but they will do if your tired. The room noise fr... Read more

If you are looking for a clean and tidy place to sleep after loads of walking then this is a great place. Easy walking distance to most of the sights, restaurants and grocery store.( try the Buena Vista down near fisherman's wharf for an Irish coffee). Tiny bathroom, standard breakfast, secure car park (limited spaces). Didn't here any noises from traffic or neighbors but thats maybe because we were so tired after our long days and we were on the 9th floor. I would stay there again.

First the good points. Very good location....on the tour buses route so can hop on and hop off the tour buses close to the hotel. Parking is available in underground car park at about 30 dollars per night. Good breakfast. However each morning we were short of seating space. Must this was minor compared to the lift/elevator nightmare. With 10 floors a lift is essential and we were on floor 9. Most of our stay one of the lifts was out of order. That meant it was chaos at breakfast time with a 15 m... Read more

First, the positive. Room is clean, bed very comfortable, location is excellent, upgraded view is well worth the extra $$, and the included breakfast is good. But, management is totally inept. We were there 4 days, Friday through Monday. In this high rise (11 floors) one of two elevators was out of order. This meant average of 10-15 minute wait for elevator every time we left or returned. And then a very unpleasant ride up or down in overcrowded elevator stopping at every floor. Desk clerk... Read more

Great location but very tired building. One of only two elevators for ten floors was out for most of our visit which meant we had to get someone to unlock the fire escape so we could walk up to the room. Felt like we were in an episode of the Big Bang Theory. Sink in the bathroom was cracked. Toilet cistern chipped but least it was flushing. Let me start by saying this is a very nice hotel. Front desk staff was excellent and knowledgeable about the area, especially Sharon. the whole time we were there, and we would come back to the hotel at different times, we NEVER saw a manager. Our room was larger than I expected, very clean (and stayed that way the whole time we were there), and for a 'partial view' we had a very nice view of the Golden Gate and Lombard Street. The hotel rooms were okay. They could have had better beds for the price you pay though. They seemed pretty cheap to me. The hotel staff wasn't helpful at all! My boyfriend and I tried to ask questions about restaurants, getting around the city, places to watch the nba finals games, etc. Unfortunately, the only things the ladies could recommend us were places literally right across the street. Location is great at Van Ness and Lombard. Easy walk to Fishermans Wharf, Lombard Street and other areas of town. The staff is fantastic at the front desk, thanks Sharon! This hotel was a great place to stay in the city. Very very comfortable rooms and adequately spacious. It was close to the many attractions of SF like fishermans wharf, pier 39 and great restaurants. Breakfast is also included which was excellent because they had a waffle maker and many other goodies. Definitely a place I would recommend for families and friends.

If all you want during your stay in San Francisco is a good location on Russian Hill (right across from Lombard Street and within walking distance from the Piers), a clean/comfortable room, and free breakfast, then this hotel is for you. It's also helpful, the price is for the budget-oriented tourist.

Very nice hotel right at the corner of Lombard St. Just a hill climb away from the crooked part of Lombard St. The staff were very helpful and it is within walking distance of Fisherman's Wharf area, Union St shopping and so much more. The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was good and the price was reasonable.

First impressions are everything and the front desk person, Eva, does not make the guest feel welcome or comfortable. Her body language during the check in process was that of someone bored and annoyed with their job. She had her head resting in her hand while she used the computer. I witnessed her snap at a guest when she answered the phone while getting me check in. She was all around very unprofessional. The breakfast area is too small to accommodate guests when the hotel is at full capacit... Read more

Spent 2 nights at this hotel. First impression was the staff was very helpful. I had numerous questions about taxi's, city buses, etc and they were very knowledgeable and helpful. Check in was a breeze. A little on the pricey side($700 for 2 nights. OUCH) Parking in their garage was an adventure. Very tight spaces. The room was clean but needed some updating. The continental breakfast was huge!!! Get there early as it gets busy fast. Overall 4/5

As one checks in, the ordinariness of the hotel reception area is on the face. The reception staff seemed unenthusiastic, lacking energy, however they did respond to all our queries. We got a room on the higher floor, facing the back street, view was average, but since it was away from traffic, it was fairly quiet, which was an bonus. Apparently, the rooms facing the bay area, over looks the main street, which is very noisy & crowded at most times. So if opting for bay view, do insist on high... Read more

the hotel is located near the pier 45. nice location for tourist. if you have a rental car, no bother to circle around the hotel area. just pay to park in basement parking lot. (there is zero parking spot on street) the hotel definitely needs remodel and they are doing that already. but we found the elevator floor is sticky. looks like someone just split their soft drink or something. however, next morning, it still hasn't beed cleaned up. the room is huge (we book for a suite) but it loo... We found the staff very helpful. The ladies on Reception were very cheery. The little handyman who fixed our TV was lovely. No complaints about staff at all. Also our room was fine. The only thing that really let this place down was the breakfast room - it looked like a holiday camp canteen! And the breakfast itself. I know it is included in the price which has impressed some reviewers, but it was very sub standard to us. We didn't have much from it because it didn't look nice! This is not the ... Read more

Friendly and attentive staff, clean room, close to fishersman wharf, On a higher floor you have great views of the golden gate bridge and partial view of Alcatraz. within walking distance to the wharf. 4 blocks to the top of the crookedest street (although it is up a VERY steep hill). the included breakfast is average at best, but it does get you started for the day of site seeing. Near a stop for the BIg Bus tour. All in all a good place to stay for a reasonable price

This hotel exhibits the same standard as the rest of the choice hotels clear across the board. $26.00 parking fee per day is the least reasonable after considering that the warf charges $9.00 an hour (actually $3.00/15 mins) and that a closers high end hotel charges $50.00 a day for its guests. Breakfast was the same. It is cleared promptly at 9:30.dont be late.good starting point for most of everything you will do as a tourist in San Francisco.

We stayed for 3 nights and were very satisfied with our room and view. we were on the 9th floor. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Be sure to ask them what bus you need to get to Fishermans Wharf because it sure beat the walk there and back. The room was clean, beds comfortable, plenty of towels. The breakfast was good Room could of been a little bigger but it worked. The parking garage was very small area. Good luck getting thru with a large SUV. I would stay there... Read more

The Inn was ok, 4 adults in one room. Beds were ok, bathroom was not. It was small and the vanity was in the bathroom making it difficult for others to get ready. Mold on the ceiling in bathroom. Air conditioner not working good, blew warm air. Parking for a hefty fee. Very, very tight parking thankfully we had a compact rental. Great location for walking to marina, Fishermans Wharf and Pier 39. Continental breakfast good, variety of fruits, yogurt, breads, eggs etc. very busy and tough to get a... Read more
