I had book a room "without a window" in another hotel and was left in a lurch... i found the hotel grace through an app and was pleasantly surprised... albeit, i walked right past it due to some late night construction... and, even though i had to wait about 15 minutes until reception was able to check me in (there was a problem with the rate -- which, the night manager reduced for me...!) i very much enjoyed my night... the room was small but very cozy... the pillows and comforter must either ... Easy walking distance to Union Square and downtown locations. Wonderful staff very helpful and friendly. Great rooms and comfortable beds. Lobby is still under renovation, but it will be even better after that is completed. I will definitely stay there again when I go to San Francisco.

My husband and I stayed recently for 2 nights during vacation and we loved this hotel! The location is excellent for sightseeing. The hotel was newly renovated and it looks beautiful. The staff was amazing! We arrived late and were hungry and the receptionist gave us a great nearby restaurant recommendation. The front desk also gave us a wine bottle opener when I asked if they had one we could use. There is an outdoor bar next door that was very busy both nights we stayed but we never hear... Read more

We were worried about booking the Hotel Grace after reading some of the recent reviews on the website about the sketchiness of the location and the major construction but these concerns were unfounded. The construction on the lobby bar and restaurant were just finishing up and not obtrusive during our five night stay in May. The hotel looks great and has an upscale yet welcoming feel to it. The room was small but very clean and comfortable. Bed was super comfortable as were the pillows and the p... Read more

Maybe the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Well-situated hotel, very close to Union Square. The room was really very tiny, but extremely well appointed. I'd stay again without hesitation. Lobby and bar were being totally renovated in mid-May '16, so updated amenities to come.

My husband and I visited San Francisco for a long weekend to celebrate my brother's birthday. We got a great rate because they were still working on the foyer. Immediately I was impressed with the friendly and knowledgeable staff. We were upgraded for free to a Celebrity King room without asking. Our room was tastefully decorated. The bathroom was very spacious for a downtown boutique hotel. I was please that they kept the historic charm of the hotel while integrating modern touches. I love the ... Read more

Loved my stay at Hotel Grace in San Francisco this April. Though my room was quite small, it had everything I needed for 1 person. It was bright, trendy with a great shower and ammenities! Rate was good for the value on such a busy week in San Francisco. The hotel lobby area was still under rennovation when I was visiting so I'd be excited to go back and see it completed. Would stay again (in a bigger room)!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Grace. The staff was both friendly and helpful. The room was small but beautifully decorated, and the space was very functional. The bed was awesome. The soft duvet comforters provided us with a good night's sleep. We would definitely stay here again. Also, it was in a great location.

This hotel is a gem! Beautiful "Great Gatsby" style decor. It's located at a short walking distance from union square. Beautiful lobby, nice rooms, super comfy beds, quiet, great staff, fantastic all around. They also make great lattes and even have gluten free waffles for breakfast. Loved my time here. Would definitely recommend it and would 100% come back.

In the rooms they have free bottled water!!!, free Keurig coffee, and a lot of USB outlets to charge your stuff. Hotel Grace was a delightful place to spend the night! I wish we had more than one night to enjoy our stay. The rooms were tastefully decorated and included great personal touches (umbrellas, robes, coffee machines, refrigerator, bottled water). Hotel Grace is a fantastic option for budget conscious travelers to SF. You'll get a beautiful (albeit small) room, sparklingly remodeled and featuring splashes of Pineapple Hospitality's signature yellow. Everything is clean, fresh, and new. The bed was incredibly comfortable; a European duvet system provides every sleeper with an individual down blanket -- genius. It makes a lovely difference! Hotel Grace is located within a 10 minute walk to Union Square and a 10 minute drive to the SF Pier/Wharf. The hotel itself is nice as it has recently been renovated and taken over by the Pineapple Hotel. The rooms are clean and modern and small (although I suppose that is what is expected in SF). We had a two-night stay at Hotel Grace this past weekend. If I had to review it after one night, it would not have been as positive. Front desk staff was lukewarm at best and sleep was not easy - the outdoor bar adjacent to the hotel generates a LOT of noise (but I will say it's a fun spot!) along with street noise - yelling, honking, etc. (and part of this is just being in the city, but there's no soundproofing in this older building) made it difficult. This might sound nitpicky, but the AC/h... Read more

The place is newly redone and looks great, everything was welcoming from the Fluffy dog in the room to the bedding and the soft pillows. The decor is great and staff were very attentive. The only bone I had to pick was noise. Not from the street, mind you, which is understandable, but from the room next to mine. I could hear the entire conversation of the person next door at 1 am!
