This is the second time staying at the Pearl Hotel and it was fantastic. From the time you make your reservation to the time you check out, you feel taken care of at this hotel. Meghan was amazing in setting up my room reservations and answering all of my questions. Natalie was great too. The hotel is this wonderful little oasis and escape from the outside world. It's retro vibe is fantastic with shag carpet at the entry way with board games you can play, a wonderful restaurant and bar that open... Read more

It's a very Unique boutique hotel with a charming atmosphere. The rooms are very clean and the public spaces are very modern. Great service and highly recommended for parties, dining, and or vacations.

Our stay at the pearl was so fantastic, we extended and then came back the next week. The rooms are mid-century stylish and the service is beyond exceptional. The staff are amazingly accommodating and thoughtful. Best part is the restaurant and bar - the food and cocktails are spot on. The vibe is great and the location even better. Could not recommend this place more!

We stayed at the hotel three nights. The pictures online make it seem a little nicer than it actually is but the rooms are cozy enough. I definitely recommend a balcony room not on the restaurant side. The restaurant area gets very busy in the evening and can be noisy. But it is also beautiful. They show movies on a big screen above the outdoor pool.

Nice location. Nice room. Once a week a film outside at the pool. Dining and drinking there. Option to get a bicyclette for free for a ride to the near harbor. Very good service. They helped us a lot. Thanks again

The Pearl is a renovated motel (think motel not hotel and you will have a better idea of what this property is like before you get there). The rooms have been updated but are sparse. The bathrooms are clean but in need of renovation and innovation to figure out how to make room for your stuff:). The bed is comfortable. The outside needs some TLC. No room service but there is a restaurant. Coffee in the "lobby" in the morning is a nice plus. Best of all, it's close to the new Liberty Public Marke... Read more

I travel a lot for work and am always looking for interesting places to stay that aren't your average Marriott or Holiday Inn. The Pearl is my new favorite San Diego stay (just edging out Hotel Vyvant). The Pearl is small and adorable. It's got this cozy, beachy, mid-century vibe that's very welcoming. Once you're through the door, it's like you've entered an enchanted grotto. The rooms are attractive and comfy. With the vintage fiberglass chairs and low bed, my room was probably better for one ... The Pearl was a very clean and friendly place to stay for the night. I recently did a fishing trip out of San Diego harbor and needed a place close by to lay my head. This little boutique hotel fit the bill. The room was very clean and the staff very friendly. I got into the room and found the television not working so I got with the front desk and they immediately addressed the issue. They gave me tokens for a couple drinks at their nice bar for the inconvenience. The bar and restaurant were al... Read more

Needed a hotel close to airport and from the reviews this sounded interesting. The food is very good and the wait staff are attentive, the bartender came over to our table to discuss a dessert drink after we mentioned to our waitress our indecision on what to order. The room was comfortable but faced the street, which is very busy so early rush hour traffic woke me up. This is not a cheap hotel and if you're looking for a deal near the airport for a night this isn't it. It has a relax and comf... Read more

My daughter and I had a wonderful two-night stay here November 23-24th. The service - at the concierge, restaurant and bar, and housekeeping - was consistently excellent. They're super nice and helpful. Our room (#20) was beautiful and had the perfect view of the Wednesday night movie. The mid-century modern decor and ambiance is top-notch, from the lounge/game area's shag carpeting to the pool. The green wall was a great surprise. The food and cocktails were excellent. Highly recommended.
