"This is approximately the 20th time I have stayed at the Dana. As always the staff was wonderful. Very friendly and quite helpful ! I stayed in the building overlooking the marina. Beautiful location! The Internet never cut out but the tv did 2 times but was fixed quickly. Rooms were very clean. The only reason I gave it a 4 on cleanliness because someone ate peanuts and left their shells by the hot tub and they were not cleaned up for 2 days. One other thing, I would not charge for parking. They have plenty room to accommodate all guests. That should be one of the perks at the hotel.."

"The hotel itself was nice. The entrance to hotel rooms are from the outside. The room we stayed in was tidy. and modern. The lighting is very dim and I wish there was a length long mirror I could've used to put my makeup on and check my outfit from head to toe. My husband complained about the satelite signal not being good. As that what was all he can do while he waited for me to get ready, he got irritated that it would go in out of service. Not a big deal for me...lol! We were only there for 2 nights, a little birthday weekend getaway. The weather was cold, but the good thing about the pool was that it was heated so it was enjoyable to be in as well as the hot tub. They have 2 restaurants there, the Blue Pearl (Casual) and Flyerfly (more upscale). We only ate at the Blue Pearl for a lunch since we wanted to venture out and eat/tour else where. The service at the Blue Pearl was great, very attentive and very nice employees. The food was good also. We orderd room service from there too the morning we were leaving and they came right away and the breakfast was very tasty. We decided at the last minute to rent a car (very convenient decision) because we took a taxi from the airport to hotel and it was $27 plus tip and iit's only a 15minute drive. So instead of paying a taxi everytime we wanted to go out we figured it'd be cheaper and convenient to rent a car and it was. The Hotel's rental car service through Enterprise was excellent! The hotel sets the initial step for you, they call Enterprise to come pick you up, then Enterprise employee drives you to their facility only about 10 minutes away, you answer a few questions for their paper work (DL, Name, number etc.) then you drive away with the rental, and when you're ready to check out you just leave the rental at the hotel and turn in the keys at the front desk and Enterprise comes and picks it up. Very convenient service. The hotel offers a shuttle to the airport that runs every hour, you just have to schedule it with the front desk the hour you need to leave, and the charge is $18. The front desk said that if it's a few more people in your group the charge may be more, but for my husband and me, it was $18. which was great, considerng what the taxi charged us. So overall, we had a great stay at the The Hotel, nothing major to complain about. They just need to add brighter lighting in the rooms. The marina by the hotel is nice to walk around as well. Will be staying next time we go to San Diego since it's a nice hotel for the price, and it's centrally located. We went downtown in 15 minutes and Coronado in 15 mintes as well."

"Nice Room but needs more lighting. the circut breaker kept tripping on our visit power went out twice when we turned on the heat. Poor wireless internet cuts out not reliable. have to pay for parking. good location. friendly staff. good room service. good housekeeping. good shuttle service. overall good experience for the price."
