Stayed 2 nights at the Super 8 Hotel. Must say that the best thing about this hotel is that the location is great. The room though was not the greatest. When I first walked into our room, it looked nice. As I checked out the room, there were some minor things that bothered me. First, the carpeting next to the bathroom was wet/moist. It was like that for the days we stayed there. Second, the shower curtains in the bathroom had holes in them and looked really old, and third, the mattress on the be... Read more

The main problem we had with her we were woke up at 4:30 in the morning people above us that were so loud bang and things for two hours back to sleep. I called the office twice and they apologize but they never got the people to be quiet it was a tour group. There also wasn't any breakfast left when we went down to get some because of this tour group ate everything . I feel I should be reimbursed for the room because of the disturbance!

The room was clean and nice, but the walls were paper thin and the people in the next room sounded like they were holding a party that lasted until about 3 in the morning. Sleep was impossible. The next night, they played the TV loudly until early hours of the morning. The breakfast bar was good with a variety of choices. We had no microwave in our room. The toilet was plugged when we first checked in, but they sent a serviceman to unplug it.

Good sized refrigerator in newly decorated room. Shower was over bath: difficult to step over high side - a walk-in shower would be preferable. Very limited choice of TV channels. Freshly cooked breakfast, but second-floor breakfast room was very crowded on Tuesday morning. Elevator needs maintenance- hydraulic mechanism juddered when passing third floor. Helpful staff in Reception.

Hmm, how to begin. Well, upon a late arrival (after midnight, our flight was delayed) the parking was non-existent. We checked in, got to our room to find a room full of construction workers drinking in the room next door with their door open, soooo, we asked for another room, which the young lady quickly accommodated, one floor up on the end of the building which turned out to be nice and quiet. My stay was not what I expected per the photos that show the property. The staff is very accommodating. But a serious upgrade is needed for this hotel, and no pool facilities is ridiculous with all the neighboring properties providing such a service. Parking should be guaranteed for hotel guests as well! I had to wait 30 minutes before parking at night!

I stayed here one night and it was okay. I wanted sometime affordable to stay for the night before my beach fun the next day, and this worked. Something you should expect from a Super 8. Small rooms, basic amenities, soap and shampoo. What I should have expected but didn't get: cleanliness, unstained bedding and towels. Yes..the bed spread had blood stains on it as well as other fluid stains ( I have pictures if anyone needs proof ), the towels had burn spots and stains, the room smelled of smoke despite the non smoking status, and the pillows were hard like rocks. This Super 8 was OK. the internet connection was really bad. The parking was worse, they have construction workers staying there during the week and with the small parking lot their big work trucks made it very hard to find a space especially if you come back to the motel at night. Front desk staff initially grumpy, and elevator still out of order but good location for San Diego. Room overlooking the bins at the rear of the hotel, parking fairly tight but room decent enough and slept soundly. Breakfast room a little crowded but no problems when we went and staff worked hard to ensure items all available. I would suggest an upgrade on the bathroom as it was a bit dated. The bathroom was an issue. I have taken a picture of the issue. When I turned on the shower, the water from the spout shot water across the bathroom wetting the sink, all my toiletries, and the bath tissues. What a mess. the shower was missing the attachment that would lead to a mobile shower head, therefore the water shot out.

Room was small as others have stated. But it was spotlessly clean, had all the amenities in excellent working condition. Elevator was older, but worked well and was appreciated. Front desk staff friendly and helpful.Only issue was some tv channels snowy. Very convenient to Old Town.

Located 10 to 20 min from tourist attractions, close to a mall and several eating spots Staff are friendly and a free lil breakfast buffet saves you money and time. Only negative is water from shower and sink smells like sewage for the first couple of seconds??Ě other that I would return

Nice staff, but it is a motel. Sometimes NO HOT WATER. The room is small and old. BAD BREAKFEST, worth nothing. VERY NOISY! BE AWARE. Really close to the highway, and the room is not sound proof at all. You can also hear the other people next to you. Very expencive compared to what you get.

Older Hotel but reasonably kept up, had to move the night stand to get at some plugs, it needed some cleaning as appear had not been moved for a while. Location was good and they did a good job with the breakfast. Cost was within reason for this hotel and situated reasonably to get to locations such as Sea World and old downtown San Diego.

We planned our trip to the zoo late and knew places to stay would be pricey due to the holiday weekend. We found a great deal with this hotel and it was good. The location is near all the major family attractions. The breakfast was adequate. Overall if you need a place to stay and are not picky about being in a fancy hotel, this place will do you good.

Friendly staff, clean rooms. We could smell the bleach they used to clean the bathrooms which was spotless. Sheets and bedding had been bleached as well. No worries about sleeping or using bath.

The first 3 nights were fine, the last night at about 1 am dope smoke permeated the room, and loud people were talking out side for a few hours then went inside to the room next door turned up the tv.

First time was terrible. Rooms were old and falling apart. This time the room was different and more updated than last time. Much cleaner . The check in manager was on personal phone call and made me wait 15 min. to register.

Great service for a motel. Was really clean, but room size is very tight for a couple. Breakfast was not my choice, could be better with healthier choices such as fruits, real eggs, and better choice of meat. The ones presented were quite unhealthy brands.

This is the best choice in hotel rooms in San Diego, the prices are very affordable and the value of the establishment supersedes the price you pay. The manager Mike was very polite and Breezy at the front desk was very helpful as well. your breath is have eggs and sausage as well as waffles and assortments of breads and fruits which make it a joy to wake up to. It has a very general location which makes it easy to access any area of the city. I will definitely make this at the top of my list as... Read more

The room could best be described as posted stamp in size. The desk is small as is the room and the walls are thin. I enjoyed hearing the woman next door expressing her glee at 3 am which woke me out of a sound sleep. I could hear every word being spoken and it was triple x. I wouldn't stay here again if the room was free.
