The Marriott Marquis in San Diego brought luxury to the forefront. Attending on a business conference, we had many selections of restaurants from Hawaiian to Modern American. Definitely try the Potato Gnocchi! The view was stunning on the 20th floor. Great short hop to Del Corando Island on the Ferry.

The Marriott Marquis San Diego is a hotel consisting of two towers on the waterfront next to the Convention center. It is well maintained, modern, very clean, and well appointed. despite being near the light rail, there is no noise problem. Prices for food are sky-high. No hotel shuttle. Parking is very expensive. I will definitely stay there again when I am in SD.

My wife and I were upgraded to a suite. I wish I could say that the suite was incredible, but it was just good. We enjoyed the hotel amenities and, the location is worth every penny. I also used the conference facilities. The staff was very personal and friendly. Teena is a phenomenal coordinator. My only recommendation is that the rooms lack a "big" feel. I think it's the ceilings, they are standard height and they close the rooms a little. Always enjoy my stay here.

Sometimes I get the feeling that Mariott just isn't really trying that hard any more. Stayed for three nights for a company meeting. It was an ok experience. Couple of things: The bathroom commode and shower had an odd smell-seemed like a water quality issue. There were some small things-the hair dryer and iron were old and didn't work properly. Had to call the front desk to get both replaced. Also, ask for a room on the marina side. There is a trolley track that runs in front of the hotel and I... Read more

I stayed here for 4 nights while attending a conference at the convention center. This hotel is very convenient to the convention center. It also is within walking distance of Seaport Village and the Gaslamp Quarter. The hotel is very clean and modern. the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The service was very friendly and efficient. This hotel seems to really want to please its guests.

Attending a very large convention and so everything is crowded. But checkin was smooth, quick, and the expected level of room available. Decent restaurants, very good outdoor gathering areas with a nice bar. Easy access to seaside walk, safe at extended hours. Expensive but all of San Diego is now. Room had very comfortable bed, large shower, water saving is unobtrusive.

The views were incredible! We had an executive suite on the 5th floor over looking the harbor. The glass doors opened wide to the balcony and there was even a view from the bathroom. This was the nicest Marriot I've ever stayed in. I would absolutely stay again.

This hotel was fantastic! Clean, courteous staff, well kept grounds, room was spot on and a big thank you for other reviews urging the bayside balcony upgrade! 19th floor view was amazing to say the least! Location is great, walk to restaurants galore! Central location was very convenient for us.

I was there for the weekend. The rooms are very clean, had partial view of the bay which was really pretty, especially at night with all the city lights. Had a balcony, small bar fridge. No microwave. The shower was great. For the expense, I thought it was nuts that they wanted an extra fee for wifi. Plus parking was $45/day, even if you stayed. I lucked out in that the lot was full, so I got to park for free at the convention center lot, but I am not sure whether that was because of the weekend... Read more
