I had the pleasure of attending a conference at the Marriott Marquis. The rooms were well-appointed and the balcony view of the harbor was wonderful. I really loved the smiling service from the staff at the hotel. As a business traveler the wifi was above average - reliable and fast. Thanks for the great stay!

The entire hotel is well maintained and clean. The staff is very accommodating...bell hops, valets, concierge. The view from our room on the 25th floor over the marina was incredible. And the place is huge with a couple of place to eat on site. With no complimentary coffee in the lobby, though, you're forced to get your coffee at the on-site Starbucks. And if you want to use the wi-fi, you have two choices: go to the public spaces (in close proximity to where you can also buy snacks and drinks),... Read more

Great location in Gaslamp and adjacent to the convention center. Room was nice (standard higher end Marriott room) with an amazing view of the bay. Elevators in the south tower are slow as molasses. Very friendly and attentive staff. Lobby bar is fun and a nice place to meet colleagues. I would stay here again for business.

Hotel is at one end of the convention center, facing the embarcadero and Marina. With beautiful views of the Marina and across to Coronado. The location is within easy walking distance of the Gas Lamp districts with plenty of wonderful restaurants and bars. The hotel is a very large property and the two guest towers are connected through a main lobby with a good walk between the two towers. This is a terrific place to stay if attending a convention. However be prepared to wait for the elevator... Read more

Location was great! Rooms are average but clean. We were visiting during a convention so it was really crowded. There was a good bit of construction but they kept it pretty week contained. Two of the elevators were down and an employee noticed the extremely long wait for elevators and took guests through the service elevator. Great awareness and customer service by this employee. Concierge was nice but didn't seem very helpful with allergy friendly, organic or vegan restaurants.

The room was great, clean, good view of the water. Friendly staff, close to everything. Also walking distance to most things. Not far to restaurants, close to the night markets. Train across the road. Location is great.

The hotel is what I would expect considering its location. The food in the restaurants was really good. Room service was quick but I thought it was sub-par when it was delivered in bag, condiments in packets and plasticware. Great heated pools and easy access to the boardwalk and Sea Harbor.

the best location in entire san diego. walking distance to downtown area..marina bay access from rear gate, walk to the harbour, resort like appeal, starbucks inside the hotel..couple of issues- very small rooms..barely enough space. only place to charge us for getting print outs from mail in our entire US holiday( we stayed in 7 different hotels). we hope they look into it.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. You couldn't get a more central location. Next door to the convention center, a few blocks from the Gaslamp district and not very far from downtown and the port. Checking in and out was a breeze. The rooms was wonderful and clean. The pool area was huge and it doesn't look like you would ever have to worry about getting a lounge chair

This hotel is a luxury retreat, amazing breathtaking view, beautiful atmosphere from the pool side to the firepits to warm you in the evening. Yoga with Hella is a must whether you are a beginner or a yogi. I love Hella's beautiful soul. While preparing to run the half marathon, my girlfriend and I took many classes. She incorporates the prefect balance of stillness and calmness in her class, with the intensity of an advanced yoga class. I always came out of class feeling so much more opened a... Read more

First time we've stayed here. But, everywhere one goes, the facilities show signs of an old casino. Luckily, all of the employees that we have come in contact with have been friendly. Our room was clean and tidy. As that I am handicapped, we requested a room with those facilities. The bathroom had plenty of grab bars in the shower and around the toilet. They even included a seat in the shower. But, it was so low that it would be difficult to stand from. And, there was a shower wand. But, we coul... Read more

We had the most fantastic stay at this property, the management and staff were absolutely excellent in every way. I have to disagree with other reviews claiming that they do not value Marriott loyalty and status. We were given a very nice upgrade, and the lounge privileges made for convenience every single day we were there. The views are amazing, the pool in the fire pits outside provide really nice ambience, and overall the full service at this hotel is impeccable. And if you like yoga, ther... Read more

I love this place! It's my favorite place in all of the San Diego area. Just go sit down by the pool (even in the shade) and enjoy the environment around you. It's relaxing, whether your there to swim or not, just sit there to appreciate the complex. The rooms are standard Marriott. Yes, the building is starting to show it's age in the rooms, etc. The main lobby entrance is not that welcoming or impressive. Just walk straight in to the window looking down to the pool area and find the bes... Read more

I've stayed here before, and will every time I visit San Diego. The property is beautiful and very clean. The pool is an oasis of relaxation. Staff is helpful and friendly. I'll add that this particular trip including meeting one of my now favorite yoga teachers. Hella teaches in the hotel fitness center, and offers an in-room program via recorded sessions throughout the day. She offered a wonderful way to start the day with a fabulous energy, and catered each class to what the attendees needed.... Read more

We visited for a work conference. The hotel is conveniently located on the harbour with quick access to the embarcadero and the Gaslamp district. We had a great room - high floor with a view of the water. The outdoor pool and hot tub were nice.
