Front desk, and actually all staff wonderful/ helpful. Clean room. Free airport shuttle. Walking distance to Point Loma Seafood... yum and Ralph's grocery store. Quaint vintage elevator...a bit slow but made me laugh every time I rode it. Point Loma was in full color all the jacaranda trees in bloom!

We did everything we wanted to see in California in a day. The longer you stay the more expensive it is. We visited Hotel Del Coronado and Coronado beach it was very nice. Cabirillo Monument was cool it was $10 a car load. Viejas casino bingo buffet was fun. And a couple of walmarts and dollar tree store. The Ramada was a relaxing hotel to relax before catching a 7am flight back to Denver. Thank you from Rita Bennett and Steve Nordstrom from Westminster Colorado.

I stayed here for only one night after a conference. The management was very welcoming, approachable and nice. The trainee receptionist (Wong?) was extremely nice and professional. He did not hesitate to move me to another room when I complained of consistent noise from above. The breakfast was simply but filling and plentiful. I walked to the quay at lunchtime and ate lunch at the recommended Lomas Seafood restaurant. I requested a late check out as I had a late flight and the management was so... Read more

Me and my wife came to San Diego to see my son who is in the navy. We got a room here at the ramada and was pleased with the hotel. The front desk personnel was great. Very pleasant and the room was clean and comfortable. In the morning the breakfast area was packed with guests but there was plenty of breakfast available. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a good nights sleep.

The Ramada San Diego Airport is about 2 miles from the airport and also about 2 miles from where our son lives. It is a clean, hotel that doesn't have a lot of frills but is a nice place to spend a few days while visiting San Diego. It is near the Marine Corps Recruit Depot and the USS Midway ship/museum. It has a pool, a guest laundry room, a continental breakfast with an option for waffles. We have stayed there 3 or 4 times now when visiting our son in San Diego.

Average hotel for a one night stay. Nice pleasing view of the habor. Surprised at the lack of security at night. Outside stairwell entrances were not secure at night and anyoue could enter the hallways. A good place to stay the night before to catch the next days' fight out of San Diego Airport. The room was ok, a bit small but recently renovated and quite clean with relatively comfortable beds. A "hot breakfast" is stated on the hotel channel on the in-room cable TV, but it lists continental breakfast when you book. I guess they count the waffle maker as a "hot" breakfast! The pool area is well maintained, but the rest of the exterior hotel property and the hallways and main areas (check-in, breakfast area, etc.) are in need of a complete renovation. Even a complete new paint job w... Read more

If you're looking for an old, inexpensive, no frills place to stay, you won't mind staying here. It's in a good location, across from the marina. The parking is free and there's a limited selection, continental breakfast. (Hard boiled eggs, cold cereal, yogurt, pastries) Our king sized bed was very comfortable. Our room was spotless but I read other reviews stating their rooms were dirty. Apparently some folks also had elevator problems. We were on the first floor so I can't address that issue.... Read more

It's ok. We had a coupon out of a hotel book so the room was $89. Anymore then that would have been to much, The rooms are very small. The plus is the free wifi, free parking and the fact that the San Diego Bay is across the street. The breakfast was a normal breakfast, but another added bonus of the hotel. The outside of the hotel needs some work, but it appeared they are working on that.

This Ramada, besides being near the airport, is ideally located for exploring Point Loma and Shelter Island. You can literally walk across the street and be on the harbor, with sportfishing charters right there, as well as great seafood restaurants. Shelter Island is nearby and very scenic. The nearest swimming beach is Ocean Beach; that's a short drive, Uber, or maybe a bus (I didn't explore that option). This hotel is average. It could use some updating because it looks like it's stuck several decades back. However, it is clean, the location near the airport is excellent, we could leave our vehicle for the week we were gone (fee), and the shuttle service was excellent.

Spent five nights at the Ramada hotel and by and large I was satisfied. The place was clean and the room was reasonably spacious, with a nice bathroom. The main drawback was a vague unpleasant smell - something in between an old pharmacy and your grandmother's wardrobe that's not been opened for several years. But the location was very convenient and the staff reasonably friendly

It's an old hotel with basic facilities. The breakfast was not good and you may consider going out to get your own. The location is close to airport but take a while to town. After all, it's a relatively cheap hotel, so you paid for what you get.

Location was great next to the fish market but the building seemed old and drafty the people were not very friendly. My wife asked the people behind the desk for some local attractions literature. They said they had none. As we were walking out the front door on both side there were racks of brochures.

The hotel was not as I expected for a Wyndham property. The room was small and we had a bug problem that was resolved; however, it made me feel anxious about putting anything on the floor so I had to keep my shoes, etc up on top of the table or bed. The complimentary breakfast was not up to Wyndham standards; however, the employees were extremely helpful and accommodating. It was not a hotel I would chose again or recommend to my friends or family.

We had a balcony room across the street from the Harbor. It was fun to watch the charter fishing boats come in every morning and weigh the fish. The motel was nice, clean and the staff was friendly. Great for a budget motel.

There was a strong odor of mold in the room especially coming from the bathroom. The bathroom had been recently worked on. We suspect the mold was in the walls, Room 257 at the San Diego Airport location. We did report it to the front desk. Also, the AC unit was very loud. We needed it on during the night as it was warm. I know I sound like a complainer but this was was the worst room I have ever stayed in for $135 a night (includes tax)..

While on business in San Diego I stayed at the Ramada San Diego Airport hotel. I contacted the hotel to use their shuttle service and they picked me up in a reasonable amount of time. Upon arriving at the hotel I was greeted by a very polite and friendly front desk agent and within minutes was checked into my room. My room was clean and comfortable and the bed relaxing. The breakfast area had a nice selection of food staples to choose from and began service at 6:30am. The hotel has a small... Read more

Hotel just a few minutes from Old Town (stop of the bus right in front of the hotel) and Shelter Island. Very spacious and clean room. Friendly staff. Only negative note is the poor breakfast. Absolutely great value for what you pay. When I return to San Diego (awesome city), I will most likely stay there again

Cozy (i.e., very small room), and nice location next to marina. Windows were left unlocked in my room, which was on the ground floor. Breakfast very low quality. Stale pastry and the only protein source was hardboiled eggs. Desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

I was pleased with my room. It had a nice little balcony with a table and chairs, and I liked the décor of the room. It was very cozy. I didn't partake, but there was both a pool and a do-it-yourself laundry facility. There was also a little shop in the lobby for drinks, snacks, and other odds-and-ends that you might have forgotten. The location was good too. It was minutes away from the airport, and they provided a free shuttle back and forth from there. Just make sure you arrange your trip ... Read more

The Hotel is located very close to the harbor but just outside the city. We rented a car and were in San Diego within minutes. The surrounding neighborhoods were very clean and appear totally safe. Shopping and all other amenities you might need were only minutes away by car. We would absolutely go back to this location as we felt safe and secure.

the advertisement said they had free shuttle to hotel. No where did it say that it will not pick up after 10:30 or I would have never chosen to stay there and they said they would not charge my card it would just hold the reservation and They charged my card anyway and it took several day's for the hold to be released.

Pros:extremely friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, great location for food and airport , park n fly ability or harbor rentals, no mishaps. Cons: very old building though updated, minimal choices for heartier appetites for breakfast (high carb).

Two reasons I gave them 2 stars, which is down grade from the 5 I gave last year. First the toilet inside wasn't clean. I had to get the maid who cleaned it out. Second when I went to check in the room I reserved was given to someone else. No upgrade or discount, I reserved a specific room for a reason. The room I was given was right next to parking lot the noise level was terrible.

We had a ten hour overnight stay between connecting flights at the San Diego Airport and stayed there at the Ramada Airport Inn San Diego. They had excellent shuttle service from and to the airport in their Ramada van. The room was very clean and comfortable. The wake-up call came right in on time and after a good continental breakfast courtesy of Ramada Inn we were back at the airport with time to spare (about a ten-minute drive.)

This hotel, close to the bay, and very near to the airport, was perfect for our one night stay prior to my airport departure the next day. It is minutes from downtown, the waterfront , and the Gas Lamp district where we had dinner at an Indian restaurant. The staff at the hotel is friendly and helpful. The hotel, while older, has been upgraded and refurbished nicely. The WiFi worked well in our room.

My business has me traveling much of the year and I see a wide range of hotels, branded and independent, in many different types of locations. This is an older hotel that is very well maintained, and that is a very important factor for guests to realize. One should not assume that a specific brand or that a new hotel will automatically meet everyone's needs. Those needs are met by caring managers, staff and hotel owners. These owners have been here for 17+ years. They are passionate about h... Read more

I had reservations at another hotel. Got there and found they didn't reserve a ground floor room for me and my fishing buddy. Both of us have medical issues. We went over to the Ramada , no reservation, they were able to set us up with a very nice room , ground floor at a great price. I had a similar experience back in July . No room at competition , shirt notice , hooked up with nice room. I will use Ramada in the future.

Overall, we had a great experience at this hotel. However, I have 4 kids and I was put on the second floor. I was continuously called by the front desk to keep things down when the kids were quiet and simply getting ready for bed. I have stayed in a hotel by myself without kids and understand that walls or even floors can be thin. However, the number of calls I got was borderline harassment and really started impacting our trip. I provided suggestions that you move the person complaining or ... Read more

We chose this hotel because there was an airport shuttle. (Truly the only perk to this hotel) The air conditioner made a pinging noise all night, and wasn't even turned on! Unplugged the unit, but the noise continued. The occupants of the next room came in at 2:00AM. Sounded like a Fraternity party! The walls were paper thin. We could actually hear them using the toilet! Started our vacation with a sleepless night??

Place was pretty good. Clean and friendly. However, I do noticed some things that stood out as bad. First, the main door leading to our room is broken. They fixed it by tying some sort of rubber bands. Second of all the breakfast room is bad. Either they are being cheap or they don't have enough equipment, but I had to wait like an hour to get my waffles. There is only one waffle maker for like 30 people squeezed into the room.
