I've been there few times in these past 3yrs and I love it !! Great location,Great prices. The only bad thing is....parking is not included in the price therefore,if you have a car,you need to pay extra money, but worth it because parking in that area is a real problem...specially overnight. Rooms are really clean, staff always ready to help. There's a nice restaurant on the 4th floor with a small balcony overlooking the bay...lovely !!! Also the location is killer because is just a block north of... Read more

We had a king-size balcony room and it was nice, with a pretty nice view. With the slider open, it was a little noisy, but closed it was quiet. Bed was very comfortable but a little short for me, which I found surprising. The marble in the bathroom was pretty but it had no counter space or storage. Fantastic water pressure but not through the shower head. Bathtub was comfortable. We never had WiFi working, even though I called twice about it. They comped our parking fee for the trouble. The fron... Read more

This hotel located in Little Italy is in a great location. Close to a lot of restaurants, walking distance to the bay. Jose took such good care of us shuttling us to/ from the airport and MCRD for our son's Marine Corps boot camp graduation. He has such a positive outlook and work ethic...such a pleasure. We had a room with 2 queen beds and 1 room with a king bed. It was almost like one room had been updated and the other room not yet. The room with 2 queens was dark and the bathroom no... Read more

The service I received was outstanding! Lindsay at the front desk was kind and helpful! Jose, the valet, was the best part of my stay. He was friendly and always had a smile on his face. He ended up being our Uber driver for most of our stay. I felt safe and well taken-care of with Jose behind the wheel! Unfortunately, the breakfast buffet was a hit or miss, in regards to the quality of the food, but the server, Reina, was courteous and accommodating. Our room had a few quirks with an end table ... Potentially great rooftop lounge area for spring/summer/fall. Nice compact gym. Room is dark but otherwise has all you need. Ask about hotel shuttle services and handy maps (front desk vibe is cool, so it is up to the guest to draw out such information). Jose, the valet, is awesome, offering lots of activity/must-see details...and warm smiles.

We stayed in room #409, 2 queen beds. Hotel is not too far from the ocean but would need to drive. Hotel breakfast was great in the hotel restaurant, the Glass Door. Breakfast staff very nice!! Loved having a full length mirror in the room. Hotel is located not far from shops or markets. Right in little Italy district; enjoyed great dinners, desserts & coffees. Hotel staff Raul was extremely pleasant and helpful at check-in. Bedroom & bathroom were very clean. Beds firm but comfortable. If a li... Read more

We stayed here for three night trip to San Diego and were lucky to find street parking across from hotel. Nice location to walk around with nice little cafes & restaurants, close to Waterfront as we had a sunset cruise booked. It offered good value with buffet breakfast included and we found the staff helpful. Would advise if your looking for somewhere central and moderately priced. Parking onsite is available at a charge.

Great location, just one block away from Little Italy. The hotel was in walking distance to the waterfront. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel provided free shuttle service around the downtown core. I would definitely stay there again.

The Porto Vista Hotel is placed really close to the Little Italy neighbourhood (2-3 minutes of walking), and also to the waterfront (about 5-10 minutes of walking). To the city center you make 5 minutes with the car. The breakfast at the 4th floor restaurant was very good. Also the skyline from the restaurant isn't one to be missed.

This hotel has very little as a breakfast offering. It does have a nice bar offering good city view. Best of all it is in a good location next to Little Italy with all its bars, restaurants and the Saturday morning Little Italy farmers market.
