The young lady who checked me in was really friendly. Such a nice greating. We were here on business at the Mexican Consulate and this location for a hotel was about 3 blocks away. Free parking meant we could walk to our appointment. The hotel is nice. You will hear the train behind the hotel and the airport is nearby. If you have trouble with that I would recommend bringing earplugs. This hotel is a short walk to the water and there are lots of good restaurants nearby. I will be coming back.

My friend and I stay here for two nights, we like the location ryt next to water front for our wedding event. I called ahead of time to add up another night Tanya was very helpfull, she gave me a good explaination on rates. Upon check-in Pett was very nice, and gave us a good recomendation around the area for diner and tomorrows adventure! Rooms are very nice, and clean. All in all, I would definety recomend the place, and would stay second time around!

The hotel is a little aged, but the owner and manager were clearly investing in the property to keep it up. New paint and carpet while we were there and the painters kept themselves and the surroundings neat and safe while working with guests. The front desk staff friendliness was hit and miss. Two young ladies working the morning of 4/14 were not particularly helpful or friendly. Overall a nice little motel right in the middle of downtown San Diego, priced right for mostly sightseeing during ... Read more

There was dog food on the floor when we walked in. The carpet looked 30 years old. The atmosphere was unprofessional as well as the front desk clerk. Checked in and out within the first couple hours and the idiot clerk still charged me a full day after I let them know about the crappy room. Looking forward to it being shut down. Never again.

We checked in and Pete was helping out. He was so helpful and attentive. I felt valued as a customer and the rates for this place are great. The room was very clean. Our room had all the amenities and everything was working properly. Overall we had an excellent experience from the moment we arrived. The Manager Pete also made some great suggestions on where to go out to eat and let me tell you he was spot on.

The only good thing about this hotel is its location. Rooms were so outdated and not all that clean. Baths and showers were stained, old fluffy blankets on beds, wifi was terrible, pool area was dirty. Powers outlets were half way up the walls and were so inconvenient for charging phones etc. . The photos make it look decent but it was far from

My stay at Pacific Inn and Suites was a great experience. This motel is located just across the waterfront and walking distance from little Italy where one can find a variety of places to eat. There is Little Italy trolley station just behind the motel from where one can take the trolley to downtown. This motel is one of the finest budget places for bed. Very clean room, nice beds, and clean bathroom. Toiletries are better than I have found in other similar places. Manager and staff are friendly... Read more

You get what you pay for at this hotel. Although it looks like there is enough parking for everyone, there isn't! Came back from dinner at 8pm and there were no available spaces, we managed to squeeze onto some hatchings and told reception where we had parked. The rooms quite outdated (we stayed in room 209), the sink next to the coffee machine has no running water, half the screen on the tv doesn't work and there are no plugs anywhere near the bed - only in the bathroom and the coffee machine... I chose this place because of the rates and the free parking. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was comfortable and clean, although it is dated. We had a fridge and microwave and there is a small pool. The location is about one block from the waterfront and Little Italy. The parking lot is small, but there seems to be enough room with creative parking. There is free Wi-Fi, but it is pretty sloooow.

The location was definitely the best part of this hotel - only a 5 min drive to the San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park...and walking distance from the waterfront and Little Italy which has a lot of restaurants and cafes. It was basic, clean and comfortable - we actually had a jacuzzi in our room so the shower was slightly better than most places. The parking was free and we always had a spot. You can sometimes hear planes flying in if you're a light sleeper, but I still managed to sleep fine. They ad... Read more

Took a "mommy and son" trip to San Diego and I chose to stay here because of how close it was to the pier. But I was so happy with my little get away because of Pacific INN! They nailed it...when I first arrived for check-in my Debit card decline, I was so embarrassed and frustrated. There was a certain amount limit on my card I was not aware of. They allowed me to check-in, settle in and then take care of my card issue. When my son and I finally got to our room, it was spotless. We stayed in on... Read more

This is my favorite hotel to stay at in San Diego. The rooms are spacious, and always clean. I do wish there were more outlets, but I know they are making improvements. Managers Pete and Carlos are incredibly nice people.

We were given a room on the second floor. Immediately smelled mildew. We tried to air it out, but it didn't get better. My son pulled back the carpet along the wall-- full of mold/mildew. TV also didn't work. We stayed in that room the first night( they were full). When I complained of the smell, staff just said,"That's strange." The next day staff allowed us to change rooms; second one smelled better, but still dirty and dingy. Great location. Fun to be close to Little Italy. However, not worth... Read more

The Pacific Inn is very close to the airport, and walkable to the waterfront as well as Little Italy. Late check-in didn't pose a problem, and people at the front desk were friendly. There's a small pool adjacent to the parking lot that looked clean. The room and bed were both very clean - the bathroom and TV could both use an update, but for a one night stay when I was looking for value and convenience over comfort, I have no complaints about the room. One note is that the wifi was struggli... Read more

The website states Jacuzzi suites $110 I wound up paying $290! What the hell it was my birthday. For almost $300 the room was so tiny. Went to the font desk to ask if there was a mistake this must be one of the $110 rooms basicly it is what it is. Ok I asked about the COMPLIMENTARY PLUSH BATHROBES AND SLIPPERS!! Housekeeping brought them to the room. THEY ARE NOT COMPLIMENTARY!!! THEY ADVERTISE IT CLEARLY ON THE WEBSITE BUT IN THE FINE PRINT WHEN YOU SIGN IN IT SAYS YOU WILL BE CHARGED $25 each... Read more

What a rip off. Do NOT stay here. I was in San Diego attending a two week conference. My conference listed this motel as one of the nearby options. I searched a variety of websites and this hotel came up as the least pricey option and when you are staying somewhere for 12 days price is a real issue. So, a colleague and I booked this hotel for 12 days. We made our reservations approximately 3 months in advance as we figured it would be a busy time of year. I regularly checked back on the rates an... Read more

The location of this motel is fantastic. Within walking distance of all the local attractions. The transit station is an easy walk to take you further afield. The staff were lovely, helpful & courteous. The room was spotless, good bed & shower. Great value all around.

Stayed here for a few nights while on the last leg of our west coast trip. Found the city to be very pleasant a warm climate near the coast with a good night life not too far away. Would highly recommend a visit to San Diego!

Stayed for one night pre-cruise. Check-in and checkout were very efficient with friendly staff. Room was basic and showed some sign of age but it was clean and quite functional for our purposes. Had a good sleep, no night noise and we had a ground floor room at back. AC, tv etc worked fine. No breakfast on site but fast food restaurant very close and lots of other options within a few blocks. Does not offer shuttle to cruise terminal but it was only a 7-10 minute, three block walk so we jus... Read more

After a long trip in the grass sea among the Dothraki, my khal and I needed a place to stay overnight before we continue our long journey. Pacific Inn provided us with aquaint and clean quarters, comfortable beds, quiet environment (save for the occasional planes flying overhead but it's not that bad), and the hotel was located near the dock and other awesome restaurants. The staff is friendly and they have free parking (good for my dragons) but it's small so it gets full quick.
