We stayed here for 2 nights. The room was a comfortable size, quiet and super clean. The bed was comfy and best of all the staff were wonderful! Walking distance to Gaslamp District and Little Italy, so variety was plenty. Also a short stroll to the marina where the USS Midway and tall ships are. Free parking is a bonus! Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again if we returned to San Deigo!

The hotel was actively updating while we were there. Our room was clean, freshly painted with new carpet. Our very small bathroom window needs replacing as it didn't close. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was good for access to airport, marina, cruise ships, public. Transportation and Little Italy dining.

Disgusting rooms at the ground floor close to the laundry It was very noisy. The cleaning personal was permanently waking in and out from the laundry. more than 200 USD/night was a joke. I mentioned the high price, but nobody was interested. it was very dark and I had to turn on the light at lunch time.

nothing in common with the pictures. most reviews are overrated. noise was coming both from the busy street in the front and the construction work on the back. the room had spiders in the bath tub and hair on the sheets, towels and the bath tub.

The hotel is in an excellent location, right next to Little Italy. The rooms are spacious inside and were always very clean. However, the close proximity to the airport means that the rooms are very noisy during the night and we found it difficult to sleep. There were also issues with the wi-fi throughout the stay for which the reception staff were unable to fix.

An older facility in need of upgrades but very comfortable. The staff are very accommodating and very pleasant. The location is great even though it is on a very busy street.. Parking is kind of an issue but you just have to wait until people move in the am

Great location. Everything was basically walking distance for us. Next to the beach and a park and also there are many resturants near by. Not that great of rooms. They AC sucked. The rooms were not as nice and the view outside our room was terrible. But we were only there to sleep because we were out basically the whole time

I stayed here for a work conference at the end of June, as prices skyrocket if you're trying to stay closer to the convention center. However, for the price, this motel lacked just about everything. Marina Inn is about a 10 minute Uber ride from the Gaslamp district, and close to Little Italy. But I would not suggest walking around at night. At the nearby 7-11, the clerk told me to be careful walking. And I am glad I stayed with colleagues, as there was a fight right outside in the parking lot.... Read more

This motel had a great location right over the ocean. It's clean and affordable. Price jumps twice over weekend though. There is no breakfast included but many close by cafes to get one within a walking distance. Parking was available which is great. We would come again.

Excellent, cheap, wifi and friendly staff. Near trolley station. Three minutes to centre of the city. My recommendation for family without kids:) Airport is very near and there is the noise from the aircrafts.

This place was conveniently located and everything we did was in walking distance. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because the room we had was in the back with a view of a dirt lot instead of the bay. Rooms were very clean and the staff was extremely nice. Would definitely stay her again and request a bay facing room.

If you're looking for a bed to sleep on that is in downtown San Diego for a reasonable price this is the place for you. We walked to Little Italy every night for dinner and drinks. Great location and only 5 minute drive to the Gaslamp district. But my biggest problem was parking. Not enough parking so for the overflow they allow you to park at one of their driveways so that you're blocking one of their entrances to their hotel. That's fine until they wake you up at 6:00 AM to move your car. Afte... Read more

The worst hotel I have ever stayed!!! Not wort your money. Found cockroaches in the restroom. The is no iron, hair dryer, in the room. Its great locations but, you can hear all the noise around. The parking is small, if there is no parking you can park at Pacific Inn hotel. Wouldn't stay there ever!!

We were in San Diego over Labor Day weekend for the Festival of Sail. This hotel is quite basic. Small room, even smaller bathroom. A bit worn in the bathroom; loose toilet seat, chips in the tile, small cubby hole for soap, but no place to hold shampoo tube, could only get HBO movie on the television (this wasn't a big enough deal to report as we were too tired to watch television). However, despite this being an average hotel, there is much to recommend: *The staff were so very helpful, court... Read more

If you're looking four bells and whistles or fancy decor, this isn't the place for you. It's a fantastic location with very friendly and helpful staff, and at a good price. No breakfast, but there are dozens of fantastic local eateries within minutes, walking and driving.

We stayed here for 2 nights. We felt a bit unsafe due to not being able to close the windows at the back of the room. We booked a suite for the kids but they ended up staying in the room with us anyhow, as the hotel backs into what looks like abandoned houses. Was a bit freaky. Advertised free wifi - it did not work for us at all in the time we spent there. Don't think we would stay there again. It was a good location for walking along the Marina.

Rooms are nice and clean!! It's nothing fancy, but a good place to sleep, because with so many things to do within walking distance that's all you will do in the room. Beaches within 15 minutes drive, bay area views.

We were originally booked onto the sister motel, the Pacific Inn & Suites, but we liked San Diego so much decided to stay another few days. As the Pacific was booked we stayed in the Marin's Inn. Spotlessly clean, great location & staff were very helpful. Definitely stay here if we ever return to San Diego.

Pretty good motel, location is good, not far from the gaslamp and little Italy, free parking and wifi was good. Beer the harbor and the USs midway museum. Shower in the room is pretty old. For the money we paid we were definitely satisfied

I expected more from this property after seeing their website. They are right next door do a closed down hotel, located on the corner of 2 major roads and the hotel doesn't look great from the outside. Having said that, the rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff were friendly and the hotel is conveniently located if you need to access the tram to go downtown. I would stay here again.

This hotel is in a great location and the staff were very nice, but that's about all it has going for it. The lobby is cute and has a beach cottage feel, but it does not represent the rooms. There is NOT enough parking for the number of rooms they have and the lot is so small it's extremely hard for anything bigger than a Prius to get in and out of easily. The room was cramped with old dark furniture and the TV is older than I've seen in a hotel in a long time. The bathroom was small and the sho... Read more

We stayed here for two nights (a Friday and Saturday). It was the cheapest hotel in the area we wanted. It's a block away from the water, 1 mile from the Midway, and 1.5 from the Gaslamp District. Anything closer to the Gaslamp District seemed to be at least double the price. The hotel parking lot is an absolute joke, easily the worst parking lot I've even seen. There are 17 spots (plus 1 handicap) but about 20 rooms. The parking spots are so small, If there's is a bigger car or truck parked i... Read more

I like Motels, as a taste of Americana, and have no issue with them being dated and frayed as long as they are clean. This one however is a smelly, sticky-floored, grimy establishment with dubiously stained furniture and a bathroom that reminded me of that from a 1970s holiday camp. It's awful. We christened it the "Breaking Bad Inns & Suites" so you get the idea. To its favour it is well located, the sheets and towels were clean (the only things in the room), WiFi was OK and it was cheap. I was going away for the weekend with my Son and this inn was within our budget since we were in San Diego for a Charger game . From the minute i called to reserve the room , the customer services was amazing! Jamal told me how to get there , what was around, ways to travel through the city. It was very refreshing that someone took the time to do so. When we arrived, the room was clean and average but good for a night or two stay. The location is great ! This will be the 4th year that we will stay at Marina Inn and Suites. We started staying there for just 3 weeks and now we are staying there 2 1/2 months. That is testimony in itself, but the location, the staff and the weather are all outstanding. The staff is so friendly, that we feel like family. If you need anything, like extra dishes, they immediately respond. The remodel is finished and everything is lovely.
