It is an older, motor lodge type complex. Somewhere you go because you need an inexpensive room, not a place you go for a vacation. In spite of it's apparent age the paint was fresh, my room appointments (carpets, drapes, bath fixtures) were newish and nice. Someone has put a good deal of money into quality upgrades in the recent past. The rooms and lobby were clean and neatly kept. Both of the persons who I dealt with at the front desk were helpful, pleasant an professional. Yifi struggle... Read more

My boyfriend and I just needed a basic room to sleep in for the night. Outdated and old hotel. Basic room with basic needs. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable. Air conditioner did not work- it was very hot and humid in the room and the only other temperature that the air conditioner worked on was 65 degrees. So we were either burning up or freezing! We also found a decent-sized spider on our pillow in the morning. Breakfast was basic, but got the job done. They had a waffle maker and pastries su... Read more

The hotel room was clean, maid service was offered everyday of our stay even though we did not utilize. The breakfast was good although supplies ran out rather quickly and then instead of tech filling supplies we had to ask. The front staff said hello when spoken to rather then welcomed. The location was in a great spot not far from several beaches as well as close to University of San Diego. The cost was a bit high but we did rent with short notice. I would stay again if rates where lower. They... Read more

Stayed here for 2 nights in a handicapped room with a king size bed. I didn't request for one but didn't care either. The room and bathroom were pretty big as expected. What the room had was free Wi-Fi, in-room safe, flat screen TV, free breakfast, great a/c, and it was pretty clean. What the room didn't have was a desk (it had a small round table) or a big table to place your things on, not enough outlets to charge your phones/tablets, very rough bathroom towels, and thin walls. This motel is not a new facility. Nor would it be considered luxury. But if you're looking for a budget friendly place to sleep while you vacation this is a good spot. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered was good and the area was kept clean. It is located within walking distance of several other places to eat and a couple of drug stores. This hotel is older, but well kept up. The staff...All of them...went out of their way to be helpful. They offered directions, called to make sure everything was ok, and kept the continental breakfast area full of goodies. Breakfast was free ( waffles, bagels, rolls, cereal, toast, yogurt & juice & coffee. It was close to sea world, & close to the highways. The price was very reasonable...We had the 2 queen beds, a refrigerator, & microwave..so great for families.

Great distance from Sea World and San Diego Zoo, there are apartment complex on the side, but the hotel has cameras all over so that was a good thing that they monitor their property. The front desk called to welcome us to their hotel. All the fast food places were located on Midway as well as Sea World, very convenient. Over all, better than Motel 6. Older property, a little run down but clean. The satellite TV stinks, fades away every time a plane flies over and the HBO channels are mostly unwatchable. My biggest complaint is they advertise airport shuttle service but when you want to go back to the airport they'll either tell you that you should have booked it 24 hrs in advance or that they don't run the shuttle before 5:00 am which stinks if you have a 6:00 flight. Taxi cost $20!
