The hotel is a perfect location with the shuttle and view of the ocean. The staff are very friendly. Jennifer at the front desk was great and Mark the bartender made it worth the trip. The room was very clean and comfortable, this is our new favorite Hilton!

Room was awful - both cleanliness and decor. Horrible 70s style and in need of a serious facelift. No free breakfast benefit. Self parking not available and valet seriously over priced. This hotel should NOT be marketed under the Curio collection - very misleading!! I checked out after 1 night because the room was so old and filthy and moved to the Sheraton la jolla.

Ocean view room had a great view. Rooms were clean. Hotel's restaurant was wonderful with a $30 lobster meal on Sunday evenings. Staff was great. Parking was valet only. Complimentary shuttle to the La Jolla cove & beach

Stayed here during a weekend trip to La jolla. Service was terrible from check-in to check out. Took 30mins to check in one room on a 2 room reservation. Everything is nickel and dimed from Internet to parking and any service above the room. Drinks at the bar were very expensive and came in plastic cups... We had dnd on our room until 10 AM then took it off, came back at 6 and the room still wasn't cleaned. We called, they came and cleaned the room, and stacked all the towels in the middle of... The Valet experience was a very bad experience. They asked for me to park on the side until I checked in. Once we pull over and got out the Valet came to the car and said we had to give him the keys. My son was sleep in the car and I just said we would check in and be right back. I was told you will not work in that hotel unless you leave me the keys. I was insulted and it ruin the rest of my stay. The beds were hard, there is no spa and the front desk never answers when we call with quest... Read more

Stayed at the Hotel La Jolla for a couple of night so for a busness meeting. The room was large, the bathroom nice (except the shower door didn't close properly and water leaked out over the floor), sufficient working space (!) and a good bed. They also have great restaurant on the 11th floor, But no top marks because breakfast was an additional cost and there was no self parking ($35/day is not funny considering the room rates charged)

The hotel overall look and location could not have been better. The Staff was fantastic and saw to our every need. The rooms however need to be refreshed. The tile in the room had chips in it and the wallpaper on the walls was in poor condition. My wife and I came back late one night and when we turned on the lights there were 3 bugs on the floor that I killed and flushed down the toilet. The rooms are very loud, we stayed in room 500 which is closest to the highway and all we heard all night we... Read more

I have stayed in many Hiltons around the world. Hilton has always been a good experience. Thought I would try this hotel. 36 hours before checking in I received an email requesting me to check in and choose my room. Great. When I got to the hotel I was supposed to mention the email and we would be upgraded as we were Hilton Honor members. When we checked in the man at the front desk acted as if we had never heard of such a thing and that we already had "a nice room". I was too tired to push the ... Read more

My room is 401, 403, not connected, so if you book two rooms, make sure ask for joint room, that way, they will put you rooms together. I did not say that, so we are one room apart. That is fine. One interesting thing, My daughter slept alone in Room 403, after mid night, she heard man's voices from telephone, even she did not even pick up phone, voices says"wake up" many times, light flickers, too. She was too tired to worry, went back to sleep. Second night, we asked her to move to our room 40... Read more

the hotel hosted SDFW and sat of Oct 1st was the last day. We checked in with 1 kid and 1 toddler after a long day at the wedding. The crews worked on the removing of the stage until 2am. I complained but they just carried on. Complained again the next morning when checked out all I heard was "I am sorry but I was not here" It does not matter whether you were here or not the guest complains about the noise outside the room on the property and something should have been taken care of. the baby ke... The first impression on walking into the lobby was good, with a lovely light and airy feel and a muted beachy vibe. The staff were friendly and welcoming and were able to sort out some issues with our reservations quickly and professionally. While the open corridors of the hotel were a little off-putting, the room itself was well-appointed and very comfortable. While compact, it didn't feel small or cramped. The restaurant on the 11th floor has a great view towards the water, and was a great s... Read more

Rooms all face the ocean, but the higher levels have the views and are quieter in general. Beds were comfortable..my number one priority. Bathrooms are modern with a great "walk in" shower. If you are more into the beach than the high end shops and restaurants of downtown La Jolla, this is ideal. As you walk or bike ( supplied by hotel) to the beach you will pass through a quaint "downtown" in the LaJolla Shores area with a few restaurants, coffee shops and water activity shops (kayak tours, et... The hotel hosting the conference was full- what an absolute delight it was to stay at the Curio Hilton. It is close to the beach, close to a tasty sushi restaurant and fun surf shops. It's a great value, and has a really fun friendly staff and neighborhood. An artsy hotel, a really special place in San Diego I can't wait to bring my family back.

This is a great little hotel in the San Diego area. The location is terrific, within walking distance of the beaches and restaurants. The staff is cheerful, helpful, and efficient. The restaurant is very good as well. A great base of operations for seeing the area.

This hotel near the beach in La Jolla is a hidden gem. It is an excellent value. We had a nice room on a high floor facing the ocean with a small balcony. There is a swimming pool with a bar on the main floor. The restaurant on the top floor has great views and the food is surprisingly good. The front desk appeared understaffed, but other than that, there was nothing to criticize.

My wife and I spent a long weekend in La Jolla. The staff is very good, knowledgeable, and helpful. The room was modern, it has a boutique feel with a nice view of the ocean. The breakfast and bar areas are very nicely done. The hotel is about 10 min walk to the beach, and about 30 to La Jolla, a great get away, but not a lot of places to get to walking.

An okay hotel in a very noisy area. Half mile from beach. Restaurant and pool bar good. Servers good. Housekeeping very noisy. Shuttle unavailable this time of year. 2 bikes on loan but street riding looks dangerous.

We had read a few discouraging reviews before our stay, but decided to stay here anyway. We were not unhappy with our decision. The room was clean, comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Bar was expensive and the drinks smaller than they should have been. For $14 - fill my glass with more than just ice.

We arrived at midnight after a long flight, went to shower and found that no toiletries had been left for us. The front desk was helpful and managed to find what we needed (after 2 trips back and forth, since what I thought was soap in our room, turned out to be a shower cap...the one thing we were given!) When we went to get into the bed, all of the sheets pulled back, leaving the bare mattress exposed. They don't have any fitted sheets, which is fine in theory, but there is something uncomfor... Lobby and grounds make you feel you are entering a fine hotel. Going to the elevator and rooms you soon know this is not the case. Rooms dirty, elevator old and smells, and outside to room style makes you feel unsafe. Bed is almost on floor and when you get in might as well be, as it is so uncomfortable.

Loved the room! Location & the room was very clean and modern! My family did enjoy it very much.. we booked the king with view! So pretty saw the ocean from the 7th floor! I loved the location was near a Starbucks!!!! The only bad issue I had was parking!!! On booking.com didn't not mention parking price! It's $35 each night! Heads up on parking!!!

Hotel was great in terms of customer service and accommodations, as usually with Hilton. My hang up was that it appeared to be a renovated motel-style building. Rooms were accessed from open aired corridors. Also, when I was initially researching rooms from afar, I thought the hotel was closer to the water. The views from the restaurant on the top floor were beautiful, but if you wanted to go to the beach, you really needed to grab an uber or a cab.

Somewhat recently renovated, this Hilton property boasts a modern, uncluttered look with nice amenities and views of the ocean. The room was clean, with a balcony opening up to the ocean. Beautiful shower and bathroom, comfortable bed, quality television, and overall a quiet sleeping environment with some street noise when the door to the balcony is open. That minor complaint aside, this was a lovely room. The poolside bar, Hiatus, is casual, comfortable and has plenty of room to stretch out ... Read more
