Stayed a week at this hotel. It is located in a great area that is perfect for a business trip or vacation. Not too far from the touristy areas but far enough to enjoy peace and quite at your leisure. It is only one or two miles from the airport. A nice park and jogging trail are next to the hotel. The indoor facilities are average. The hotel does have a really nice outdoor sitting area. Nice hotel staff. The breakfast is average, nothing special. Pretty good choice of eateries near the hotel

This hotel was great. I was there on business for 3 days and the staff was very accommodating. The room was spacious and I liked the layout of the whole room. For the short stay I did not use the kitchen, but, if I were to stay longer, it definitely would get used. The breakfast was good and the social hour in the afternoon was definitely worth a visit. The location was great and central to a lot of restaurants and shopping. (I didn't do any shopping). If you stay here, it is a decent walk ... Read more

Searching for a fun place to stay with a preteen right after Christmas and needed a two room space that was near the water and wouldn't require us to drive everywhere (plus free parking). The Homewood Suites by Hilton at Liberty Station fit the bill perfectly. Super close to airport ( yet no real noise I can recall). Check in was super easy, gave us the perfect room the first time. Great big room with a view, kitchen and living area, but a tiny bathroom (only flaw). Everything super clean and ... Read more

From Sarah at the front desk with a vivacious personality at check in to Dago who helped me through repairing my internet connection. I can't imagine a more comfortable "airport" hotel. Built on the former military base, it is in the middle of a multi-use shopping center with endless restaurants and specialty stores (whole foods, etc.) It is also on a walking path to the bay. Quiet, peaceful, lovely rooms and a great free breakfast. (Why don't ALL the brands offer a free breakfast now?) Oh, and a Starbucks nearby. Oh, and it is in San Diego, did I mention that? Nuff said.

I was hesitant because it was a hotel right next to the airport. However, next time when I come to San Diego, this would be a top choice for me. Staff is great. Clean and well designed hotel. Everything works. The rooms are big and reasonably priced. There are stores and restaurants right in the complex.

I have been at this hotel before and I loved it. The service it great and amazing rooms. Cameron, Oscar, April, and William were just one of many that made our stay extra special. We had a large party(for a family reunion) and we would come back in a heart beat. The only issue I had that was minor was that the pool was a little small for such a huge hotel. Also, the plane noises were not an issue at all in the rooms. Definitely on my come back list. Great job Hilton!!!!ū???

I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel on Memorial Day weekend. My bay view room was blocked by a big palm tree, so the premium I paid for the nonexistent view was a waste. The room and furniture were in need of updating in this older property. I did not find the staff to be very cordial or helpful, much less so than in my other hotel stays on this particular trip. This hotel has great location, great staff and good amenities. The front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating. The rooms very well cleaned and comfortable. Excellent shower. We loved the location, right on a water inlet overlooking San Diego bay. There was a very good walking trail out front and over a bridge heading towards downtown San Diego. We rented bikes right outside the hotel and rode over to Harbor Island. We rented a car, but the hotel is easy distance from the airport a... Read more

This hotel got good reviews and it looked like the location would work for us, out of the hustle of downtown but near attractions. Sarah checked us in and seemed genuinely glad to welcome us. Free bottle of champagne for our anniversary too! The included dinner with wine made it easy for us to enjoy a relaxing evening walking along the park next to the water, saving $ and stress free parking. Very nice stay; clean grounds; within walking distance to Starbucks, restaurants, parks, view of the bay. We stayed while visiting my son stationed in San Diego (along with my son who was on leave). The room was smaller than I expected; the photos make the room look larger than it is but within hours, we acclimated to the size. I was also considering hotels in the Coronado Beach location but after taking a day trip to that extremely busy, touristy area, I was so thankful to have chosen this h... Read more

The homewood suites was perfect from check in, free breakfast, the in room kitchen, and the location. I could mcrd ftom where we were staying. The location is beautiful with walking and running paths a few steps away. The airport is a t minute trip but the planes did not cause any problems. The best part of our stay was the barbecue grills. We were able to have family and friends join us for a mini graduation party. I can't say enough positive things about my stay.

We stayed our last night in San Diego after traveling all around the area for 6 nights. We were checked in very quickly by a very nice front desk agent - April. We wanted a bay view and she helped us pick out a room to make sure we could see the bay. When we talked to her later she was very accommodating for anything we needed. I will add that I am an employee of the Hilton chain and would say April was A++ in everything she did. I loved the breakfast and dinner reception and would rate this... Read more

Roomy, clean, great staff, a perfect base to visit San Diego where everything is within 20 minutes (del Mar, La Jolla, the Zoo etc). Liberty Market is a few blocks away, a big Von's with an incredible wine cellar included :-) Good restaurants nearby, Solare among others. Good Sushi in the parking lot and Oggis when you want quick good food within 2 minutes walk.

There was nothing particularly wrong with this hotel, it just seems a bit old and dated compared to other Homewood Suites that I have stayed at. And the price is not really comparable to those other hotels either. To be specific I paid more for this hotel room than I paid for an ocean view room at a Marriott in Dana Point and I couldn't justify that. I looked out at a parking lot.... Regular customer for 5 years staying average 3 times a year. This is our last stay here. New parking $14 fee as if Feb. Advertise environmental program for less housekeeping, believe it's a cost control/reduction for Hilton and a marketing ploy. It's all business and profit. Customer's need to ensure they get their return on investment and shop around. Wonder how this will play in San Diego's move to add a new tax/fee to support the building of a new stadium for the Chargers.
