Hotel was recently remodeled and feels new. Rooms facing north have a nice view. Bed was comfortable. Rooms have a fridge. The couch makes the room feel more comfortable and less like a hotel room. Already looking forward to the nexttime to stay there.

I stayed on the quiet hillside and very much enjoyed it. Comfy and clean rooms, perfect for a business trip. Close to many great food and beverage options. The restaurant had a variety of choices that were true to So Cal cuisine although the service could use a little attention. The bartender made a delicious Old Fashioned! Perfect night cap. Friendly staff and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone in the area.

Since you charge $22 per night for parking, you could certainly afford to make improvements to the garage. The transition from the surface road into the entry/exit ramp is too sharp, and it scraps the bottom of my car as I drive in/out. The parking lots need to be resized for the mostly mid-size or larger cars that are parked there.

We picked this Hilton for the central location between the zoo and Sea World. It was also located near a large shopping center. It was s pleasant stay. Wish we got to use the pool but the weather was a bit gloomy during our visit. Breakfast buffet had a good amount of selection. We paid extra for the free buffet and parking. Overall it was a great stay for what we paid. The room was clean and the staff were very friendly. We would definitely stay again on our next visit to SD.

Large room, just refurbished top to bottom. From the lobby to the rooms, you get a welcome feel to your visit. This is a non-beach hotel. I would call it a convention hotel without the sterile environment. Breakfast was reasonable, and the buffet had everything except hand made omelets. The bacon was crisp. Bell staff served as concierge, and they did a nice job. I rate this 5 because this newly reopened Hilton stands out above other business hotels.

The location of the hotel is great but that also means there are many hotels in the area. Save your nose and stay elsewhere. The room smelled musty and stale. I would not stay again even if it was 10-20% cheaper than a nearby hotel. Quite disappointed as I have come to expect much higher quality from the Hitlon brand.

I was a guest when there was massive flooding in San Diego. Luckily the restaurant at the hotel was open. The hotel is clean and well apportioned. Hilton Gold and Diamond members get a free breakfast buffet. I had a room high up in the hotel, which was good because it seemed like the flooding was bad.

I was a bit disappointed by the hotel experience. When we got there, we were told the kitchen was closed, even though I had purchased a breakfast and parking special. I did not get breakfast, just some fruit and coffee. Our room had standing water in the bathtub overnight from lack of drainage from the tub. The dayshift managers were excellent about addressing these issues, but the night shift need some work on "making it right" customer service approach.

I recently stayed at the Hilton in Mission Valley. It is decorated in contemporary design, and very well done. The decor is beautiful, but I don't think the service is up to the usual Hilton level. If you are looking for an honest welcome, stay somewhere else.

Everyone was very nice and the food was good. The room was very below Hilton standards. All furniture was badly scratched and very old. An attempt was made to fix furniture and left glue reside everywhere. I strongly believe if management knew the condition they would never rent the room. The room was clean and bed was nice. Furniture needs to be replaced as it spoiled the whole visit. Motel 6 has much better kept furniture.

The hotel overall is fine, but the value is not worth it. I would not recommend the so called executive lounge. If you decide to stay at this hotel, get a regular room. Location is good and the room was clean. The main restaurant is fine and breakfast there is much better than the executive lounge, though pricy. Getting in and out of the garage is not the best, considering there is a $22 daily charge to park.

This Hilton, by far, has the best staff I have ever dealt with. Their customer service is above bar. The hotel location is perfect for all of my needs when I am there. The rooms are very nice, although they can get a little noisy with a lot of people walking up and down the halls. I prefer to stay here in off season so there aren't as many smaller children running around.

Great hotel near Hotel Circle and across the highway from really great restaurants and shopping. Just a little further from Fashion Valley mall and more restaurants. This hotel was great for my wife and I. The staff was nice and the hotel was the clean, could not find a place that was not. If you do not want to stay downtown this is the hotel for you. You are not far from Old Town, the trolley lines or many other attractions.

This facility is clean, friendly, easily accessible and overall a great place to stay. The staff at this facility know how to make their guest happy. If not, they know how to own up to any situation and make it right. We placed an order for room service at 2pm and were to receive it by 3. At 3:30 we called to follow up on the order and discovered that during the "shift change" it must have been forgotten to be applied. The next shift took responsibility apologized and comped the order. This... Read more

This hotel is part of a grouping right off Rt 8. It is super modern and clean. The pool area is lovely and the hot tub was perfect; heat and jets were spot on! I was here on business for only 2 days yet it was heaven. There was a small frigerator in the room and coffee maker. The bed was also super comfortable.

My husband and I stayed at the Hilton San Diego Mission Valley for a weekend trip. The location is just off the freeway and a quick drive to the entire balboa park area and many enjoyable restaurants. I think the location of this hotel is its best feature. The actual hotel itself is nice as well. We booked early and the quality was good for what we paid. Nothing was dirty in our room which seems rare now a days. Had a two night stay here whilst on a tour, room clean bright and comfortable. Everything we needed for our stay in the room fridge, hairdryer and iron. Pool area looked nice but we had no time to use it. 24 hour garage nearby with mini market, along with an excellent local diner which we used for breakfast. Happy hour at the bar was good with an excellent white sangria. We would stay here again as good transport links across the road into San Diego.

Staff were very friendly and professional. My issues were more on the obvious cost savings methods the hotel takes. This is supposed to be a somewhat prestigious establishment and cosmetically, the room decor is wonderful and very appealing until you realize how paper thin the walls are and even when the next room opens their closet, it sounded like someone was in my room opening mine. AND MY BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT was the AC or lack there of. My room felt like it was running on fan the whole ti... Read more

What a great stay! My family and I checked in for two nights during a heat wave. We don't have air conditioning and the inside of our house was 94 degrees. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is warm and welcoming, and everything we ate at Polanco, the hotel restaurant, was amazing. Even though we all woke up early both mornings to get the kids to school and ourselves to work, we really felt like we were on vacation. We took the kids swimming both nights and had a blast together. Looking for... Read more

Very nice place to stay - we were there for a conference training event and staff was helpful and friendly. I would recommend for any size group - we had 250 and in breakouts so they handled it seamlessly. We normally train 25 and the breakout rooms were perfect size for that. Great AV, room, etc.

For the amount of money you spend on the room and the amount they gouge you in addition for parking you would hope for more in general. The hotel is clean but loud and it's difficult to get a good night's sleep. Be aware that the "deluxe" rooms are really just on a higher floor. So you pay $20-$40 for the same exact room although they don't do a good job of advertising this. This is a very nice Hilton hotel as I would expect. The room was spacious and clean. The king size bed was large and comfortable great bathroom with a large shower. The outdoor pool and hot tub were enjoyable to sit in to enjoy the California evening. The only negative so I had or that it was quite a distance from the convention center area that I frequented every day. I was also not used to the freeway traffic noise in the morning. In Mission Valley so a far distance from things other than the nearby mall, half the hotel rooms face a very busy and noisy freeway. Windows on that side seen insufficiently insulated to help. Hotel restaurant was pretty good at lunch (see separate review).

Room is nice, but about 200 sqft. I can hear the neighbor next door and any slight activity outside the room too. Freeway view. No dresser. Room 1013. Avoid it.
