Booked this hotel (for 3 couples) to be used after our cruise before heading back the UK. The hotel is in a good location for both the Gaslamp Quarter and the Seaport Village. Check in was straight forward and the rooms were large, clean and comfortable. I managed to get a good price during their spring sale for a Coronado Bridge View so treat that as a bonus. Porter service was quick to get our bags up to our rooms and we also managed to get in early at around 11.30. What we found disappo... Read more

Love the location. The rooms are nice the restaurants are wonderful, we especially enjoyed eating in the deck overlooking the water and watching the sun set. The pool area is awesome very tropical with rock waterfall. I was scouting for a wedding venue and to get married around this pool area would be fantastic, imagine a steel drum band tiki lights, Mai Tai's...Yes.

Our room was large, clean and overlooked the harbour. There was no fridge in the room, so upon our request, one was brought to our room free of charge. Unfortunately, no Wi-Fi in our room, only in the lobby, lounges, bar etc. There was a lovely outside bar with swimming pool overlooking the harbour. Self parking was USD35 per day. The Gas Lamp district was within walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast in the restaurant was expensive, so if you have the time, it would be better to walk ... Read more

The location is great if you are attending a conference. Rooms are average for Hilton. I was disappointed there was no fridge in the room. Nice view from some rooms. Restaurant is way overpriced. I really liked the Starbucks downstairs. Hotel staff was very friendly.

Staff was friendly and helpful and solved issues promptly. Hotel is close to restaurant and public transportation. you can ride and explore downtown via street cars found at a walking distance from the hotel. On the other hand, I found parking to be very expensive in case you are planning to rent a car while you stay at the hotel.

This hotel is in the perfect location for restaurants; exploring the city or the harbour. The hotel is large, modern and clean as expected. We made use of the gym which was good. The airport is also very close. It is unfortunate that we needed to pay extra for wifi. Every McDonalds offers free wifi so it is very poor that such a large and lovely hotel charges, and a high price at that! The parking is also quite expensive. We wanted to check out the spa, but basically it only offers a steam ro... Read more

I stayed here for a conference taking place in the same hotel. The room/bed quality was fine, and the room was quiet, so no complaints there. However, the in-house dining was way too expensive to be covered by my per-diem. There's also nowhere to get breakfast for under $20 within a 10 minute walk (I timed my walk to breakfast places in Gaslamp district, and it took closer to 15 minutes each way), so plan on getting up early for breakfast.

I loved this place. The view was great, beds soft and very comfortable. Very clean hotel and well maintained hotel. Prices were priced good for drinks. The pool is great, there's a place for lap swimming and a place for just having fun. My kids loved the slid and the kiddy pool.

The staff are very friendly, especially the man who helped with our bags on the trolley. He was funny and in good humour. The rooms are very tidy and comfortable, wish they had robes though! It had amazing views of the Coronado bridge and marina. We spent most the day in the pool drinking margaritas out of their souvenir cups, which has a built in water spray to cool you down! Very close to Gaslamp quarter, easy to walk from the car park over the bridge and past petco park. Thanks for a relaxing... Read more

The room was nice, but I was very disappointed by the pool. I was shocked that no one was required to swipe into the pool area. Anyone could get in. As a result, it was an utter zoo, with many people using the pool that were not guests of the hotel. The word is clearly out that anyone can get in. I picked the hotel in large part because the pool looked so nice, but it turned out to be a bummer.

My kids (ages 7 and 9) and I stayed at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront for the first time last week for 1 night. We had a wonderful experience there! We have never stayed at a Hilton because: 1) we have frequent guest status at Starwood and Marriott properties, and 2) I have been turned off by Hilton by the reputation of the Hilton family and figured their hotels would be cheesy. I am SO GLAD we tried it out - our stay completely changed my impression of Hilton - for the better! These are the rea... Read more

Stayed here for two nights. The hotel has great views of the bay and city from the higher floors. We stayed in Room 2801. Our room had a bose music system in bathroom and living room areas. The room was very nice and spacious. Pool area was a little on small end of things, but had a nice little kids area where they played kids movies at night. They serve food and drinks at the pool too. I would definitely stay here again, if we are visiting downtown San Diego.

We booked 8 nights at this hotel and were very disappointed. The attention to detail in making up the rooms was missing. Sometimes items were provided and sometimes items weren't. For $5000AUD for 8 night it was extremely disappointing. Room was tired and not really facing the water, when a waterfront room was booked. The breakfast was the same buffet each day and waitstaff were more interested in the gratuity than anything else. The buffet is $31USD - $50AUD per person and then on top of that... Read more

We had tickets to see the Padres vrs Yankees. I wanted to stay at a location close to the stadium and my wish was granted!! The hotel is right across the street! There is an amazing bridge that you walk over and voila, you're there. The hotel room was small but comfortable. It is close to.......everything San Diego. We had a voucher for breakfast which was the best!! It is a little spendy, but worth it for a fun family getaway.

Unfriendly reception staff, to the point of brusqueness. My business reserved a high floor room with a view - on arrival I was then asked if I'd like to pay an additional $30 for a view (no thanks, I wouldn't). No minibar. Housekeeping knocked on door early (on a Saturday). Overall this hotel is very impersonal and not worth the cost. Thankfully I only stayed one night. I'm returning to San Diego next month and will stay somewhere else.

Being at this hotel reminded me of hotels I visited in Key West - pricey for a just above average room and a dated facility. All the hotels in Key West look like they were built in the 1960s or 1970s for a James Bond movie, they're way overpriced for what you get, and they don't try very hard because there will always be millions of tourists who want the rooms. We chose this hotel because of walking distance to Petco Field and many attractions in San Diego. We had a beautiful view from corner room. Room clean and comfortable but needing some updating. However they did not have a room for us the first night of our reservation. Hilton did pay for our room at the Marriott down the street. The staff in the concierge (Shawn) was so helpful(helped us how to get an UBER on our departure.(5 stars) Only thing is there were no slippers nor refrigerator.

Well, we booked this hotel for its obvious advantages. Its in a good location for a lot of things in San Diego, great view, great pool. Well except for that last bit. If you were here for the SAP convention when we were, then you enjoyed the pool. But we simply showed up at the pool at various times and found out then that the entire pool area was taken over for the convention. Nobody mentioned this at check-in. No letter under the door. Nothing. You simply find out day of. Not cool. I... Read more

We were lucky enough to get a corner Bayfront room, fairly high up (20th Floor). The view was spectacular, you can see all of SD Bay, Coronado Bridge, Pt. Loma, etc, you almost don't want to leave the room, just sit and stare at the view. We used the pool and Jacuzzi, both were very clean, a little crowded but not bad. We also used the Spa, the Steam Room is one of the best I have ever used. It was a comfortable walk over to downtown to eat both nights we stayed, and there is lots to choose ... Read more

We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel after arriving from Los Angeles. The hotel is a fine hotel - modern and providing a good view of the Harbor. The rooms were comfortable and well furnished. Paid parking was provided in the Hotel. As we did not have breakfast included (and thought it was too expensive to buy) we looked for something nearby. The only option was a branch of Starbucks right at the hotel - as we were not the only ones looking for breakfast - this branch was very crowded and the qu... Read more

Stayed on the last day of Comic Con, so nice to walk from convention to hotel. The hotel is nice and comfortable, rooms are good size. We stayed on Bridge side with view of Dole plant. In a room on 19th floor. It was fairly quiet since we were closer to the elevator. Has a Starbucks and store in the hotel so that is always a plus. Restaurants are pricey but you are within a 10 minute walk to gaslamp restaurants so not an issue. Would stay here again and would love to hang out at the pool.

I must confess that I enjoyed this hotel very much. Firstly because it is entirely and truly smoking free. My room (26th floor) was great and overlooking the bay as well as (unfortunately) the Dole's containers depot. This was't much fun to see but the hotel is at the most southern point of San Diego and as a consequence, it is the last stop of the nice waterfront before the industrial area. I booked this hotel as a Hilton HHonors member through a 25-days trip to California. From the map and the photos we preferred this Hilton instead of the others in San Diego. After an argue with the reception about the quality of the room they offered us plus the lack of the compliments we enjoy as members, I was finally talking to the duty manager, who saved little bit the situation. This hotel needs a total renovation in order to satisfy Hilton's standards. Be careful.
