I was there with business associates attending a trade show at the convention center. In the middle of the afternoon I had to return to the hotel and took the trolley and was back within and hour. Station is only a block and 1/2 from the hotel and the trip took about 16 minutes. In fact I took the trolley to and from the convention center every day. $5 day pass. The nightly dinners and entertainment are just across the street to the entrance of Old town. Lots to do and many options for dining. T... Read more

Great location, close to old town. Good proximity to transit (light rail). Rooms were clean, and a beautiful spacious lobby to lounge in. Made use of the hot tub in the evenings. Staff were friendly, particularly those who worked in the restaurant area. Would definitely recommend!

Very nice hotel, great staff, nice amenities less that a $10 uber ride to most everything in the area. The view from the hotel was really nice. There are restaurants in walking distance from the hotel and some gift shopping near by.

My wife and I decided to take a few days of leisure in San Diego, and discovered this gem when we decided to stay in Old Town. I have to say that all staff that we encountered were extremely helpful and friendly. However, I'd like to draw special attention to the restaurant servers. We had breakfast at the hotel 2 days, and my wife and I were immensely pleased with the level of service and care provided to us. In particular, Anai (1st morning) and Edgar (2nd morning) were amazing. They both en... Read more

This hotel is new and nice right across from Old Town and a short walk to the trolley station. I highly recommend it! Nice staff, cookies at arrival, easy location and so much to do in Old Town, not to mention the trolley to get around town. We will be back!

Two gorgeous people at the front desk greeted me with beautiful welcoming smiles as I walked in the door with my luggage. That pretty much set the tone of the stay. The room is nicely equipped with modern and very clean bathroom. The hotel is just a few blocks from the historical Old Town State Park. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops within short walking distance. It is about 5 minutes walk to the Old Town trolley station, from which you can take the green line directly to Little ... Read more

Try turning on the air con. Enjoy the deafening roar of the single setting ?? ON or OFF. There??s no high, medium or low. And that unit (which I assume is in every room) is probably the cheapest one that could have been installed. Try sleeping in the bed next to it and wait until the temperature drops to where it??s set and it switches off. Perfect silence. That is until the aircon unit suggests that I??m sleeping in the hold of an aircraft.   To rent a room with these kinds of sounds for a... Read more

I am a Hilton regular and stay in a Hilton almost every week. Often the Garden Inns are a little worn and compared to the marquis Hiltons, the staff on the friendly but average side. This hotel was by far the finest Hilton Garden Inn I've stayed in, on par in most ways with a Hilton. I attribute this to two things: one, the facility was new and perfectly maintained with tasteful décor, a better than average gym, and an nice outdoor pool. More importantly, the staff members, to a person epit... Read more
