The front office and food service staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Lindsay D. was awesome. I would stay at this location again next time I visit SD either for business or pleasure. The check-in area was very welcoming.

Stayed two nights, one was a Friday with excellent rates. Most of their business is M-Th business travelers, so good bargains to be found on the weekends. We paid for a balcony room which was spacious even though it overlooked the parking lot. The Bistro 39 restaurant in the lobby was quite nice and not overpriced. The staff at this hotel are so nice it is a wonder how they found so many to work in one location. They were not just politely courteous, they were genuinely friendly. They helped me with all aspects of my stay, such as making a to go sack breakfast when we had to leave super early (4:30am) to catch a ballon ride. This property is conveniently located off I-5 near La Jolla and UCSD. The front desk staff and housekeeping were exceptional, especially the head of housekeeping named Diego. Everyone was very courteous, professional and friendly. The room was clean and well appointed. The entire hotel team delivered outstanding customer service! I highly recommend this property for quality of service and value.

Alycia gave me protein bars in addition to my requested cycling joke for the San Diego Century. The other staff were pleasant and helpful. Didn't know the beds were adjustable until check-out. That would have been nice to know.

False fire alarm was the only problem woke me up at 6 am. They offered free breakfast. Rooms are clean and service was very good. Pool is small but clean. I would stay there again on my my next trip down.

There wasn't an included breakfast. What they did have cost $14 and it didn't depend on if you ordered hot food or served yourself cold food. It isn't really worth it if you are a light eater. The bar and lounge was interesting. Depending on where you sit (which isn't labeled) you will pay more for certain food items and wine.

This is a clean Hilton Garden Inn with very warm welcoming people working to hard to make your stay the best. I took a room here after a different Hilton Hotel had given up my room and was fully booked. This hotel was located near were I need to be be and had a room available. The staff bent over backwards to help make amends for the difficulty at the other hotel and I really appreciated their sweet gestures.

This was my first visit to California and this hotel was the perfect location. The view from our window was breathtaking. Our room was very spacious. The bed and pillows were super comfy. The work out room was small but had all the needed equipment. The restaurant on site had great food and drink specials. There is a nice outdoor patio where you can relax. The beach is close by as well as several dining facilities.

I've stayed in a number of Hilton Garden Inns (as well as other Hilton properties), and this location was the best-run of them all. Everything was immaculately clean. This has by far been the best hotel experience I have ever had. From the minute I checked in until I checked out the staff has been extremely friendly and helpful. After a busy day, Amanda greeted us with a smile. We were supposed to stay at another hotel (Hampton Inn Poway) who did not hold our reservation even though we are Hilton Honors members. Thankfully, the Hilton Gardens Inn had a room for us. The room was comfortable and we would stay there again if visiting San Diego.

Stayed with my family for 5 nights as we did beach and tourist stuff. The staff is top notch and will do whatever is needed to make your stay enjoyable. Very knowledgable with great local advice. The Hilton brand has never failed me. I've stayed at other Hilton Garden's but this location is very clean and welcoming. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I stay at this hotel for business on occasion. The front desk staff is amazing (Aly R., especially) and do what they can to help with the stay. I truly feel like they truly care about their guests. We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Aly greeted us after a very long day of driving - she is awesome! Friendly and helpful - ask for the local driving directions. Our room was lovely - nice balcony and had everything we needed. We ate breakfast every morning and enjoyed the food and choice. It is a bit of a drive from most tourist locations but it was very nice to come back to no traffic and quiet!

This is our fourth hotel on our trip down the west coast. But this is the first hotel I have ever given five stars to. Stayed here for business and wanted to stay closer to San Diego. This is not too far out, but the hotel is very nice and the staff were very friendly. They made the stay enjoyable. The rooms are nice and updated and the restaurant is better than most. I recommend the Juevos Rancheros for breakfast. Best I have had!!!

This hotel is heavily used and really is showing the wear for it. It needs updating and the elevators need a good cleaning. The carpet in the elevators (and odor) is terrible especially early in the mornings when one's not awake. My room wasn't cleaned one day and was completely missed. The manager did leave cheese, pita, and wine in the room but I didn't arrive back to the hotel until 11pm that night due to a long work day and business dinner. Room #238 has a very loud AC (the other rooms may too) and kept me awake most of the night. My bed was also uncomfortable (mattress and pillows) and I would not recommend staying here if you need a good night's sleep!

This hotel is located a good 25 minute drive to downtown San Diego, 20 minute to sea world, and 15 to la jolla. I found the pillows very uncomfortable bc they were so soft with no support whatsoever. The room was on the small side. They did have free coffee and tea at the lobby but half the time they were empty. The staff was average. Breakfast runs about $14 per person. The only positive was the free parking.

I recently stayed with a group at the HGI. We paid a premium price due to the soccer tourney, however, we did not get a premium experience. Great and I mean great budget hotel. Well located just off the I-5 but in a quiet neighbourhood. Excellent facility, big quiet rooms and very well appointed. Staff go the extra mile and make you feel so welcome. Easy to access the beaches around La Jolla and with lots of shopping and eating options nearby made a great visit. Thanks for a great stay

Amanda at the front desk was incredibly helpful, friendly and very sweet. From hotel questions to local questions she was very helpful. People always make the difference in any customer service business and she definitely set the tone for this hotel. The room always smelled great every time we entered and was spotless. Clean nice rooms. Great outdoor pool and hot tub. Easily ccessible to all attractions in the area. We Stayed for eight days on the second floor and enjoyed a small nice balcony. The complimentary fresh coffee was great. We'll be back again!

This hotel provided great value as far as room, service, amenities (free coffee, some fruit all the time), free wifi, and option to pay for daily breakfast. The rooms were roomy and comfortable. We were given some beers at check-in, and the onsite bar had a decent selection of alcohol (nothing crazy, but more than the basics). I was here on business, so the convenience and location was perfect.

A very nice HGI property. Online check in makes arrival quick and easy. Property nicely appointed. Staff very cordial and friendly. Had a king room with balcony. The balcony was surrounded by walls on all 4 sides so no view except up. No mold or mildew in shower. No complaints with this property. About a 15-20 minute drive to downtown SD if no traffic. Do yourself a favor and stay here instead of hotel circle.

Once again, needed to stay close to my friend so we could get to the Civic Theatre without me driving down from Orange County that day. This Hilton Garden makes me feel pampered, rooms are very comfy and the bed is a restful cloud to sleep in. The Keurig coffee is most welcome, and so are the Neutrogena bath products. The Lobby has fresh cookies, coffee, fireplace with nice seating, and the dining room is welcoming to all. If you need to leave home, Hilton Garden Inn is the next best thing!

Went for a two night stay for a short vacation to San Diego. Check in went ok, got breakfast vouchers due to diamond status. Notice that they offered premium internet for a fee, but when i had checked in online it said that premium internet was free for diamonds. Not so here, was only able to get the complementary internet provided to everyone. Breakfast is good, normal price $12.95. Can order an entree, then there are additional all you can eat options too. Would stay again.

This hotel is worth the money. It's was close to downtown San Diego La Jolla which was absolutely beautiful and Delmar all 20 minute radius. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly. You will pay a ton more to stay closer to the city and not worth it. I would definitely stay here again it was a lovely stay

Large, Comfortable rooms include kitchenette, sitting area and patio. Exterior seems quite dated but room interiors have been updated. The bathroom was much smaller than expected with a room this size. Accommodated 4 adults without issues. On site restaurant with varied menu. Butternut squash soup was excellent. Steak pasta dish was underwhelming and under seasoning. Service was good. Nice outdoor patio with fire pits were great for lounging in the evening.

This hotel was amazing from start to finish. I arrived early with my boyfriend to attend the KAABOO music festival. Check in was at 3 but we arrived at 11:30. The gentleman at the front desk told us our room was ready and we could settle in right away. We were greeted with a happy smile and a gift bag for a local concert. I had completely forgotten sunblock (there it was in the bag). The room was great. Clean and comfortable. The absolute best thing was breakfast! (anything you want, great food, for one price). There was also a deli during the day and a very nice place to eat at night. Super nice place to stay. We had to bring my father for surgery to Scripts. We stayed at the hotel for 2 days. We felt so welcomed when we checked in. The staff was very attentive. The food at the restaurant was delicious. The wait staff were attentive to our comfort. The room was clean and large. The room was quiet. We were on the fourth floor so we did not hear anyone over us.

When I checked in, there was a computer glitch that caused it to assign a room that was already occupied. When I reported the incident, Zanobia was a bright light that went out of her way to correct the situation. Good sized rooms and kept clean, the rooms had a k-cup machine, microwave and mini fridge. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Did use the fitness center one day - they have a couple treadmills and an elliptical. Small weight set. Great for my business trip!

Not your typical run of the mill level 3 hotel. This business is on their game! Cutest little place tucked away in a neighborhood of homes and luxury apartments. Very warm and inviting! The lobby has a setup of coffee, cookies and water. Rooms are spotless and beds are beyond comfy. Had a little patio/balcony off my room. This place is warm and very welcoming!

Good sized, very clean, quiet rooms with comfortable beds and linens. Everything worked in the room. New individual room air conditioners have been installed here and they are whisper quiet. Hotel is conveniently located so you can get to most places in Del Mar or La Jolla in 10 minutes. Front desk was able to accommodate a check out the night before. The hotel was as promised with no surprises.

The staff and amenities at the Hilton Garden Inn in La Jolla were pretty good but the rooms are in need of updating - beds were very uncomfortable and plumbing was not great. Also, the common spaces could have been cleaner. The bar and outdoor areas were not too crowded. Parking was easy but several cars were vandalized on our last night at the hotel which made me very nervous.

Extremely hard beds, sunken area in bed, can hear everything from neighbor's going to bathroom, clanking loud air conditioner noise, can hear woman on cell in hall, and could hear the other person on the call talking back for half hour. Poor check in service when asked where I could find a restaurant nearby...with only pointing to the internal bistro (which I did NOT ask for). For the 2 nights, $444, and a Hilton honors member, no free breakfast, I would NEVER stay here!

This is located in a quiet upscale neighborhood. The place is clean and modern. Room doors do not slam. The AC is clean and quiet and fan-always-on mode can be enabled. We stayed here for 3 nights after a cruise before returning home to Texas. After reading the other good ratings on TA we booked it and are so glad we did. I was in San Diego for a business trip. This location is close to work, the beach and has a residential and resort feel to it. I asked for a better room that faces away from the road and Zenobia from front desk was helpful to get me one. The room was clean, modern, and quiet. The fitness center is small but has most of the essential equipment.

We booked a room for the weekend as someone had stayed many other Hilton and Hilton brand hotels I would say this wasn't the best experience I had.Lobby was warm and welcoming, receptionist was also very nice.Becauze we booked a balcony room we were at least waiting maybe a pool view? But it was facing straight to a roof with no view. There was stains on carpet and needed to cleaned up. Bathroom was small.We also purchased breakfast but seen better other at other Hilton.

The Jacuzzi and pool were wonderful, the breakfast was great and the location was everything we needed as a base for our San Diego vacation!! We would highly recommend this place to anyone!!

We came here for our honeymoon and we had an amazing time. With the honeymoon package, we had wine and cheese upon our arrival and we got complimentary breakfast for the two mornings we were there. Title says it all. The internet here is horrific, regardless if you have Hilton Honors status. I'm talking less than 1MB download speeds... it's impossible to do any work in your room as pages take at least one minute to load. And yes, I tried both their attwifi and HHonors networks. The beds arent bad, but the sleep system thing they have isn't all it's cracked up to be. Pretty good water pressure so that's nice. Overall, an average hotel that's crippled by unusable internet.

Spent our last 2 nights of our Southern California vacation in the Del Mar area. Rooms clean and comfortable. Well maintained property. Our room was on the second floor with a balcony (view of a shingled roof). Not much nearby, driving is necessary, traffic into San Diego after 1600 was stop and go.
