Don't stay at this property. I have been here for one week and because of repairs on my home, I have to stay for at least another 5 days. Where do I start? The front desk attendants are inexperienced and very young. The lobby, laundry room, main corridors and yes, my own room...ALL FILTHY! No cable/wi-fi for the first few days. Unsavory guests (prostitutes, gang-bangers, fighting in the parking lot) smoking in their rooms and even the elevator. Not just cigarettes. NO SECURITY ON PROPERTY, EVER!... Read more

Wonderful hotel clean nice staff safe location short drive everywhere. Around the corner from old San Diego, less than 10 mins from sea world and beaches. There was a Walmart near by also. Our room was very spacious with a fully equipped kitchen fridge, stove, sink, microwave and dishes and pots and pans.very wonderful stay.

It looks like people are stealing things from this place - plates, cups, flatware, face towels...even pillow cases! The kitchen covers were empty, pillows without covers. I went to front, then they issues all to us. I don't know why the hotel can come up with the better system - issue those at the check in with clear note to let them know how much each will cost and instruct them to return at check out. I made a big mistake accepting the room that was near front desk - YES, Big mistake! Lo... Read more

I managed to get a room here for about $90 on a Saturday night, which by the area's standards is relatively cheap. That said, I can't really complain that I overpaid. The room was spacious and fairly clean. The hotel is pet friendly, though we opted to board ours instead. Parking and wifi are free, whereas parking in downtown is $30/day and anywhere else nearby is at least $12/day. Staff was friendly and gave us late check-out to noon. It sits in a prime location, near Old Town, downtown, Balboa... Read more

People were lurking around the back door waiting for the room key required to enter, then following you in the door. Several cars in the parking lot with obviously homeless people living in them. Three days there was no fruit available for the "grab and go" breakfast. What - there aren't any grocery stores in San Diego??? Asked twice for our room to be cleaned and it wasn't.

We stayed here for 1 night and got a good rate. Would I stay here for more than 1 night? Probably not. Check in was easy, however the lady working did not seem too excited to be there. Our room was a good size, 2 queen beds but it was very musky. We had to open the windows and air it out. The a.c was hit and miss throughout the night. The beds were also very hard and squeaky. The bathrooms in the rooms are not discreet at all! We could hear everything when someone was using the restroom. Might... Read more

Overall our experience was good. I loved having our own kitchen to be able to cook what we like and keeps costs low from eating out everyday. Breakfast selection was ok could be better but the same old muffins and fruit and lack of variety of oatmeal.

Plenty of parking and room was nice too. Please note we had no plates, utensils, pots or pans (which I had available in the room at other Extended Stay locations). Also, received a call at 1030 to "remind" me checkout is 11 am. Felt that was a little tacky & unnecessary as we were already getting ready to leave shortly thereafter.

This hotel is in a good location close to the highway on/off ramp. It's an extended stay hotel so don't expect 5-star perks like a real hot breakfast. It does have a kitchenette in the rooms. You can prepare your own meals if you're inclined to do so. The hotel is a little old and has that "old" smokey smell in some parts. I'd stay here again for a short trip to San Diego. The staff was fantastic.

We rented two rooms with kitchens. There was no staff to greet us, a janitor walking by gave us the room keys. The kitchens had no pots, pans, plates....nothing, not even a coffee pot!! Both rooms had ants. One room was suppose to have a queen size bed and it was only a double. No staff the next day. Had to retrieve our own towels from the laundry. We requested pots and pans. The next day found a box outside the hotel room with one pot and one pan, both were dirty from last person. THIS WAS A CO... Read more

The hotel is conveniently located, rooms are clean and staff is friendly. Ice is not supplied by the hotel and the refrigerator in our room was not cold enough to make ice. When I called the reception desk for help, the response was "We do not have ice machines. You can drive to the liquor store and buy it there." It may be silly to make a choice of accommodations based on little cubes of frozen water, but we will not stay at Extended Stay America again.

Free parking is the only positive attribute of this hotel. Upon front entry you are greeted by a wave of smoke from smokers parked around the entryway. Look down to a sidewalk that hasn't been cleaned in months, if ever. Entry at the front desk was a inhospitable greeting and below average customer service from a male desk clerk. No luggage cart in sight and he was comfortable sending me on a scavenger hunt throughout the hotel to find it. The trip to your room on the urine scented elevator is e... Read more

I stay at extended stays because of course I love the kitchenette. Hotel was located in the cut. Loved the privacy. Luis at the front desk was such a doll. He felt my pain as I was running away from home from the children for the night with the wife...lol We called a couple of times needed a few things and he was pleasant and very efficient, I know how it is being in hospitality myself.. Kudos to him.. Will definitely be staying within the near future

We stayed at Extended Stay America, Hotel Circle, in San Diego for a couple days and we chose that because of the advertising, looked like a very nice accomodation with kitchen facilities. What an eye-opening, terrible experience for the price we paid. Kitchen was empty of everything and we had to ask for items needed, such as coffee pot, "do you need cups, and would you like coffee?" Duh! And we had to ask for a coffee pod everytime. Hall wreaked of smoke, elevator had the same garbage on the f... Read more

Clean room, nice bed. Kitchenette great for vacation, went to outdoor market and whole foods and stocked up fridge. Did not have to spend lots of money going out to eat which meant more for activities. Any kitchen utensils, plates, etc. have to be asked for at front desk, not sure why this is but was not really an inconvenience. Microwave in room. Bought own pans at local Walmart to use. Easy access to Highway and quiet, though some construction going on in front. Muffins, coffee and snack... Read more

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anybody looking to stay in San Diego, we only stayed here for 2 nights and I couldn't wait to get away from the place! When we first arrived we were placed in a room on the 1st floor which was nice but after only 5 minutes of being there we had noticed that there were ants on the bed, in the bathroom and all on our stuff. We asked to move and were moved to a room on the ground floor, this wasn't much better. There were no blinds over the windows so we had to ... Read more

I had a golf tournament the following day, even though I live in Southern California I really didn't want to have to get up even earlier to make the long drive to San Diego so I opted to stay in San Diego. The property is very nice, and centrally located to shopping and restaurants, I would recommend it to anyone

I'm pretty sure this is the first review I've ever left, but the room is that bad. I booked three nights at roughly $100/night, and I ended up crashing on couches for two of those because I was so grossed out. I'm a student who's no stranger to budget, 2-star hotels, so I don't think I'm being picky here. Pros: - a refrigerator, stovetop, and microwave in your room. - plenty of room for working - dishes/pans are available (I didn't use these) Cons: - This hotel room was SO DIRTY! * There wer... OMG. Seriously - someone from Extended Stay American needs to take a tour of this place. Hallway carpets were filthy. The clientele was scary. Security is needed to get rid of the drunks in the parking lot. No one was at the front desk when I arrived and people were waiting in the lobby. Tattooed freaks, drunks, smokers loitering in the hallway, lobby and outside. This place is neither clean nor safe.
