Was here on an overnight for work. Staff was very friendly and attentive, even though they had a line of people to check in. Hotel was very clean and looked as if it had recently gone through renovation. Rooms were spacious and lots of outlets for portable devices. Love the evening reception goes until 7:30!

I reviewed this hotel in 2012 & found it & the staff to be excellent, they still are. The cooks at the free breakfast still remember you and go out of their way to please, Romeo seems to have many "friends" among the guests & I am glad to feel that I am one of them. A new waiter has joined the staff of the restaurant & even though it still is a hotel restaurant we made it a point to eat there & have deserts because of Eric, one of the friendliest waiters I have met. I'm going to attach a letter I sent to the manager of this hotel the day we left. The response I got was cold and open ended. I concluded I should review this establishment in order to protect people with dietary needs that are thinking about staying here. To whom it may concern, We wanted to voice our disappointment in our recent stay at the La Jolla Embassy. We have been so pleased in the past with your line of hotels, in fact we are H honors members. The property was beautiful and our room ... Read more

The valet and the front desk staff were wonderful. Helpful, attentive, and more than willing to do anything to make this an enjoyable stay. We give them an A++++! For a Hilton property, I was a little surprised at how outdated this hotel was. It really needs a major facelift in all areas - although the room we were in was pretty good. The complimentary buffet breakfast was good - if you could manage to get your food while trying to navigate all the kids running around without parental supervi... Read more

Upon returning to our room following dinner, we were plesently surprised to find an iced bottle of champagne and a cheese and cracker platter. I had mentioned my daughters 30th birthday that morning when I called to confirm our room. I was previously pleased with the greeting the girls received upon arrival and did not expect any further acknowledgement. Monica is an A+ manager and this facility is fortunate to have her. Extremely pleased with our experience. Family recently went from 4 to six, so this was my first experience using a suite on family vacation and it couldn't have been better. Breakfast was amazing and so convenient. The room was the nicest I have stayed in. Would have liked to have the hot tub in the same room as the pool where the kids were swimming but would like this separate setup if the kids didn't come. Executive suite had a nice table to play games with my parents who stayed next door.

Construction was done during the sleep hours, 12 am and 3 am to be exact. Indoor pool is nice. Complimentary breakfast is excellent. I slept on the uncomfortable sleep sofa because of the noise outside of the hotel. Aside from that construction, I probably would rate this better. Parking structure is very tight and shared with PF changs next door.

Breakfast was good although crowded even in some of the earlier hours. Parking here used to be free, now it i $28 per night to park your car as a hotel guest. We have stayed at this hotel before and of course the breakfast that they provide is always fantastic. We reserved 2 rooms, they told me one room was ready and the other room was still in the process of being cleaned. When we got to our first room it seemed much smaller than the rooms we had stayed in at this hotel previously. One of the reasons we like this hotel is for the spacious rooms. To say the least my wife was quite upset about it. So I went down to the front desk and asked one of the g... Read more

The location is decent though the actual drive entrance/exit isn't great. The parking ramp is tight but doable. The hotel lobby is quite nice and the front desk staff very professional. The breakfast staff was better than the average Embassy Suites, but the food was the standard fair (not terrible but not good either). The room was pretty nice and while the furniture seemed dated and mismatched, at least it appeared stain free (something most Embassy Suites we've stayed at seem to have a pro... Read more

When I can't make it to Clayton's in Coronado, I partake in the free breakfast, which features freshly made Omelettes, a wide selection of entrees.
