Front desk staff is not helpful and friendly for guest even like me as a gold member. They are unwilling to provide any gold benefits for their guest. I think they need to be trained better. Hotel is really good and comfortable. Breakfast is SUPER nice and delicious.

This is a beautiful hotel on lovely grounds once a golf resort. It was very relaxing to stay there and wander the grounds and enjoy sitting on the patio each room had. The restaurant was very good and the bar was a very enjoyable place to relax after a days work. Highly recommend this to anyone.

This was one of the best Hilton properties that I've ever stayed at. From the moment of check-in the staff was super helpful offering outstanding service. Breakfast was A+. The rooms were super clean, large, with beautiful grounds and nice patio facing the golf course. Very tranquil. Definitely going back!

Several years ago we stayed in this hotel and it was nice, but tired. Recently it has been remodeled and upgraded. Hotel lobby is light and airy and the rooms are clean, light, and well appointed. The lounge and the dining room are also nicely done. (Food was a bit pricey). Because of the location and the overall ambience we would return.

The rooms are nice. However, the layout of the hotel is not friendly for those with heavy luggages or mobility challenge. Some of the rooms required walking few stairs. If you are staying far from the main lobby, have to walk far to get to the elevator! Same for the other amenities are all located around the the main lobby. Difficult if it is rain as the walk path is exposed to outside element.

The staff was very friendly and made me feel welcome. My room was spacious and clean. The only complaint I have is the hotel does not fit the price and the only one way to get to your car or room easily with luggage so depending on where your room is that can be a walk or you have to traverse stairs.

The rooms are very spacious grounds are nice. I stayed in San Diego to visit family in the area. I booked two rooms here in that same weekend. The staff was very accommodating in trying to get my rooms next to each other. The biggest problem that I had was there were ants in both of my rooms. One of my rooms even had ants in my bed. Stayed at this hotel end of June, 2016. Our daughter was dancing in Escondido and we wanted to stay outside Escondido but still close-by - it was a 10-15 minute drive. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, the grounds were private and restaurants and shopping close by. I would stay here again.

Great hotel. Decently priced. Clean and Big rooms. More of a resort feeling than a hotel. Only 2 floors so it's quite well spread out. Great food if you order room service. No restaurants at a walking distance. You need a car to drive a mile or so. So this was a problem for me. There's a fuel station and a shop there, plus one 7-11 at walking distance.

Room was ok. A bit noisy when the group upstairs began their exercise program at 8:00 at night. That only lasted an hour or so. The major issue I had was the service of the room. Hotel was easily accessible from the 15 Fwy and SAN Diego. Room was clean, comfortable and roomy. Staff very helpful and friendly. Stay was relaxing and just what we needed. I would recommend staying.

The main gym and main pool were under maintenance and no discount given on the room. But the staff very friendly and knowledgeable about hotel and surrounding area. Room very clean, but mattress had a distinct dent from repetitive use. Not horribly uncomfortable, but should be replaced. The grounds are gorgeous. I would stay again.

The whole building is a vacation get away. This was worth the stay while we were in SD for 1 night visiting Sea World. It wasn't far from it and the building was super handicap accessible so we were able to move around including the rooms. We would definitely would love to come back.

My husband and I were there for a wedding nearby, and what a nice hotel. From the beginning making a reservation with Jesus who was VERY accomodating, to Richard checking us in much earlier than we expected, to the friendly staff in the bar and the restaurant, we were more than pleased. The place was very clean, and the grounds were kept up. The beds were comfortable and hard to get out of. The Pros: 1. Housekeeper said thank you for the tip. 2. Saw a bit of mud on side of sidewalk. by AM... Read more

I just came back from a quick weekend getaway to this hotel. My room was a HIlton Honors King suite Room 312 located in the main building. This room is a loft-style room with a king bed downstairs and a king bed upstairs in the loft area. One tv in each room but no couch. Three HBO stations. The upstairs loft room is small but adequate. Beds were very comfy. The bathroom is downstairs and spacious. There is no bathtub...but the shower is huge. There is quite a stairway to get to the ups... Read more

Unfortunately I did not do my homework to see that this is a "resort" vs a hotel. I had a late night arrival and upon check in, had to discover I needed to go back to my car and drive to the other side of the property and walk up stairs to my room. If I had known this, I would not have stayed here. I want to check in, go up to my room and crash. This layout is. It conducive to using the fitness room or getting breakfast. That said, the rooms are huge, well appointed and clean. My only issue ... Read more

I had the most amazing room at this hotel. It was beautifully appointed with an upstairs with another bed. Too bad I didn't have more people with me to enjoy it. I also had a balcony with a beautiful view. The overall sleeping area was great. The only downside was the bathroom. It looked very nice but the functionality was awkward. The sink was very low. I'm not very tall but found it to be uncomfortably low. The shower was very large and nice but there was no seat which made it very hard to sh... Read more

The hotel is located in an awesome location. The rooms are big and comfortable . But having said that the amenities were poor. The restaurant was lacking, half the entrees had ingredients that they were out of. I ordered an entree that came without more than half the stuff it was supposed to have. Definitely a big drawback. The pool was not heated enough so could not enjoy .

This is a redone Doubletree, made it young and hip in decor. Not a bad idea, but they did not change the structure of the hotel. I was directed out the door down the hall to the end, well, they neglected to mention the 2 sets of stairs required to get there and toting luggage down the concrete stairs was a real thrill and it was a LONG walk. Room is nice and well-appointed. There is only one place to eat, in a bar that was built with the remodel, at the other end of the hotel. Menu is quite li... Read more

I have had a very pleasant stay in this hotel, rooms are completely reburbished and bathroom is completely new, great breakfast place too. This is conveniently located near the highway, but at the same time the golf resort ensures a nice and quiet environment to relax after a bussy day.

The Karan was was an awesome experience. My family was at SeaWorld all day. Ithe was very nice to be able to return back to the hotel and take advantage of all the amenities they have available. The jacuzzi was absolutely amazing. My wife enjoyed the treadmill. My kids loved the candy store. Not surprising. We would definitely return.

I do not have a single bad thing to say about this hotel. It was clean, comfortable and the staff could just not have done a better job of looking after this alone travelling English girl. My room was immaculate and everything I needed and more, the grounds were stunning, the breakfast tasty and varied....... I really must mention Dan Venables (I think that was his name) who I spoke with a lot whilst on my trip. He was a fountain of knowledge and one of the nicest people I have had the privile...
