everything was good, the location... you can walk to gaslamp quarter or to the USS Midway Museum. The rooms are exactly the same as every Days Inn, which is good. The breakfast is not good.

Beds and everything inside are very old. The building needs a big refresh. Do not take the elevator if you do not like gloomy metal noise... it is more a motel than an hotel, your door is not secured any more than with a lock. The Motel not so clean. VERY noisy. Too near the airport... HVAC noise is terrible.

Flawless stay from check in to check out. Parking was secure and lot was well lit. Room and hotel amenities were what I had expected for my first stay at a Days Inn. Breakfast was a plus, and we were walking distance to the downtown area/waterfront. For the price I paid, you can't beat it!

I am only giving a 2 star because my husband saw a cockroach in the bathroom near the toilet!!!!! We were very disgusted and checked out the very next hour after gathering all our belongings. Management has to do something about the insect control. This is a pretty popular location so am sure people will have to think twice before coming back to this hotel!

This hotel was very good for the price we paid. Good location - 10 min distance walking to Gaslamp Quarter with many bars and restaurants and also 15/20 min to Balboa Park and the zoo. Room was clean and very big and bed was comfortable. Wifi worked well and the guy at reception during our check in was excellent. I would recommend this to everybody who wants to enjoy beautiful SD on a budget.

It had a pretty good location. It was walking distance to a quite lot of stuff downtown. The rooms were what you can expect for this price range. The staff gave a great food recommendation for a restaurant nearby. The beds were not exceedingly comfortable, but it was fine.

Seriously saw more than 5 roaches in different locations at this place. I was disappointed. There is $15 Per Night parking fee which insane since anyone can walk into their parking area. Contention breakfast, bagels hard and peanut butter bottle was super hard. Go elsewhere

Overall okay, but the morning noise from the cleaning crew was a little much. It is understood that they are trying to keep the place tidy for the next occupants, but the yelling across the hallway was a bit much.

Downtown location between high rise Apartment buildings. You need a car to stay here unless you can walk 2 miles to attractions. This is an older building very well maintained and the rooms are large. My hat is off to the cleaning ladies, they do an excellent job to keep each room spotless. Easy access to Hwy 5 express way. I would stay here again. Continental breakfast was good.

Wonderful choice. Reasonable price for a very pleasant, spacious room with a balcony and nice continental breakfast. The location was great. Walking distance from Gaslamp District and very close to the zoo. Parking in the downtown and Gaslamp districts is very difficult so it was easy to leave the car and just walk. I would certainly stay here again.

Went this past weekend to celebrate my BFs birthday. We got upgraded to King room with balcony. Best view I believe. The room was very spacious and clean. Not far at all from gaslamp. Only downside was the AC. Too small for the room. Was told that I was going to be charged $80. $30 for parking and $50 for a deposit. 3 days later I check my bank account to see I was not only charged the $80 plus another $30!?!? The building looked bad from the outside so I was dreading what the room would be like but it was nicer than expected. Nice bedding and comfortable. Breakfast was not as advertised though. Was supposed to be a hot breakfast but the only thing that made it hot was toast or instant oatmeal. The BIG problem we has was them quoting one price at check in and then when we checked out they tried to charge 40.00 more per night. Good central downtown location, clean room, interesting outdoor glass elevator, outdated climate control, very poor WiFi connection. It was very difficult to connect, despite several access points. The location is good and close to the rest of downtown and balboa if you're willing to walk or drive a bit. The cleaning staff is hard working and keeps the rooms clean enough. The front desk worker Ramiro was nice friendly and fast. If I need to stay in a hotel downtown again then I would definitely consider this hotel again.

Bed was very good and slept well, shower was a sprinkle for pressure, wallpaper and general upkeep of room terrible, room smelled old (carpet) and couldn't get hangers off of stupid old/broken clothes rack. There is a parking fee I did not see anywhere on their website, $15 a day. It's within walking distance from International Airport (it's an hour walk, but still), bus and trolley station, as well as Balboa Park with its 17 museums. Service- and comfort-wise it's very fair. I've been to many hotels and the one thing that really ticks me off is the payment for parking. Some good hotels will provide parking for their guests at no extra charge. We thank the manager who gave us a "free" upgrade to a room with a view. However, the room smelled like a hospital room and, although it was supposed to be a "quiet" room, its window was a single-pane one and did not stop us from hearing party-goers from the next building. We received a complimentary upgrade which included a basket of bathroom goodies. 2 bottles of water in the fridge were free. We had a view of the city on the balcony.
