"We stayed for two nights in the East Wing. When we called to see about checking in a couple hours early, we got a cold response from the lady on the phone and said not to check in until the stated time. Upon arrival we dealt with a gentleman at the front desk and he was very pleasant and helpful. We got a room with two queen beds. The room was spacious and clean but one of the beds was very squeaky and made a loud noise with every movement. Thankfully I was too exhausted from the days activities to prevent me from sleeping, bed was otherwise comfortable. There were kids running back and forth at all hours but this is more a reflection on the parents of the kids, not the hotel. The free shuttle to Sea World was a plus for us. The drivers were prompt and friendly and we appreciated not having to search for our vehicle after a long day out. I did find it a little strange that the microwave and refrigerator were in the vanity area right next to the bathroom. All in all a good value and we would consider staying again if using the shuttle service."

"Overall trip was good, we got to see our Texas Rangers sweep the Padres! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The shuttle service was not bad, didn't have to wait very long to be picked up from airport, go to zoo or be picked up from zoo or back to airport. The shuttle driver who took us to zoo was very helpful in recommending places to visit and eat. The room...not so happy with. Had requested room at the back and was booked at front, the rooms are older but didn't seem very clean, somewhat musty I guess. The sliding bathroom door was hard to close. I didn't like the kitchenette right there outside the bathroom and right next to where you brush your teeth, hair etc.. Not very hygeinic! Also our room door had about 1/2' gap at the bottom which made me a bit uneasy. The noise was terrible. Kids running up and down all hours, very annoying. I have kids and make them be courteous and quiet during late night and early morning hours! Wasn't crazy about the 1/2 mile trek to the trolley either. Thank goodness the weather was beautiful to walk in, and wouldn't mind it so much except not crazy about having to walk that far after late baseball games with our young son. However, never really felt very unsafe on trolley or at stops, just one guy got on one night and you could most def tell he was on something, started banging the trolley door at a stop and thank goodness he got off. Anyway, was our first time to San Diego and now know a few better places to stay next time."

"The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is that the beds were comfortable.. Beyond that the rest of the experience was bad. I paid the extra money on book it to ensure I got a king bed instead of two queens but after checking in I found that our room had two queens. When inquiring with the front desk they told me that all of their kings were booked so I was 'upgraded' to two queen beds with a kitchenette I didn't need. The hotel was noisy and kept us up at night and the curtains wouldn't close all of the way and we were on the first floor where anyone could see in. The free shuttle to Sea World required a reservation which I made the night before and the lady told me we would leave the hotel at 9:30 am and they would pick us up from Sea World at 3:30 pm. We were at the designated pick up spot at 3:15 pm.. By 3:45 pm when no one had showed up I called the hotel only to find out that the shuttle came at three instead so were left to sit and wait in the cold in a parking lot until 5pm for the next shuttle! I will never stay here again. The staff wasn't friendly and the overall experience was horrible."

"Our family stay was horrible lt was loud lots of young people running up and down the walk ways. Drinking party cops where call out on several times. I will not stay their again. It was not somewhere is would stay the room was not clean "
